I don't know how much time you have. You can get an affidavit and go to waec office with your statement of result . They will know how to help you out. Original waec is necessary and not just for fidelity bank.

I called their HR number day before yesterday and he told me dat declaration of age from high court could be used in place of NPC recognize birth certificate. could it be that their HR in Abuja center are doing another thing becos even in Lagos declaration of age was used then provided you are with a valid ID card. or is it dat you are not with dis declaration of age from high court?
Ok can the age declaration be from abuja? Or do I need to travel too?

Ok let's die the matter at this juncture but for the sake of fairness. Pls don't post the questions here. Apart from it being detrimental to those who passed with their heads, fidelity bank might also get to find out the questions are being leaked and who knows? Everyone might even be disqualified(we never can tell).
On the other hand, who knows if I can do NPC birth certificate in abuja even though I was born in abia state i.e. I want it to still bear abia state as my place of birth. The HR person asked me to travel to abia state just for it but I think I can work around that. Pls who has any useful information. Thanks

with the way som over sabi are posting questions on this platform, then you have to really keep your hope strong. One thing I know about recruiters is even if they allow everyone who had above 50 to do interviews, doesn't guarantee anything if there are too many people that scored very high. With all d diff scores am hearing of those that passed, the average is around d 60% mark. Let's pray hard though, but let's b sensible with d way we make things so obvious on nairaland. Someone said that already. Help people with wisdom.
Exactly. Giving pointers is OK but telling people yet to write the questions asked is not affording equal opportunities to everyone. Please we all have brains, let's use it, and let's also pray that God won't allow our genuine efforts to be in vain.

Being a DENTIST Myself I can tell that the only PERSON being shortchanged HERE was the Hospital and Government, which by the way am not in support of,NOT you..not going to Hospital for TEN years left you IGNORANT of the basic TENEMENT of how a Doctor operates when it comes to the questions he was asking you as a PATIENT and believe it or not there are GOOD reasons for the questions..there were some under hand RUNS but YOU were not the VICTIM,to clear your mind on the real price for the procedures you can send somebody to inquire and I bet the prices are REAL,they just didn't want to pay in EVERYTHING to the Hospital..
Being a patriotic Nigerian, I think am also a victim cos I shouldn't be used as an instrument to foster corruption. And I've already made inquiries, tooth extraction is actually 2500 in that particular hospital. So there's no way just filling could have been 4500.
If you doubt it, I didn't hide the name of the hospital. Find out on your own

The Dentist didn't Scam you per se,rather he was trying to play a fast one on the Hospital,he did the procedures you paid for but paid in only that for the extraction and pocketed the other in connivance with the other workers..
I think he did cos I paid more than I was supposed to.

The doctors are scamming the hospitals through under-the-table payments.

The hospitals are scamming the doctors through unpaid salaries and renegading on agreements.

You got your teeth fixed. Let them figure out ways of outdoing each other. The hero in you may turn out to be a victim. The dentist fulfilled his obligations to you.

Just hope you are not a victim someday. That's all

You're wrong here. In every part of the world a doctor must ask you those questions for his consultation to be complete. It is not out of place at all.
These questions will directly or indirectly affect the treatment given.
For instance if you're married, a doctor will exclude any drug that might temporarily affect your sex drive.

Your friend too must be identified because some patients will not give accurate info when some persons eg their boyfriend is around, but might be truthful with their brothers.

All standard procedures, my dear.. Well since you've not been in the hospital for 10 years , your ignorance is a good excuse to be overlooked
At first I didn't see anything wrong with the questions but it was after I left the hospital, it became clear to me. It was just a tooth extraction procedure. He didn't need to ask me my relationship with the person I came with, who told me about the hospital, if I've ever been to the hospital before. He just wanted to know if I would be deceived into leaving him with the money

How is this a scam or corruption? Your story makes no sense. If you were overcharged for the operation then that is a different kettle of fish. The dentist asked you to pay N2500 first and a nurse asked you to pay the balance after the procedure, so what the heck are you complaining about? Go get a life.
I went to a govt hospital not private hospital. Pls don't display your ignorance here

Never said I didn't believe u.

Only referred to your use of the word 'scam'

Your were overcharged not scammed...

A-You went for a consult on your tooth ache
B- you got ur diagnosis
C- u were treated & I believe you're feelin A1
... thus YOU WERE NOT SCAMMED.

They overcharged u...
The reason I used the word "scammed" was cos the dentist made me pay to him instead of the cashier, and he deceived me into doing that. Check where I said he kept asking me personal questions (which I later discovered was his tactic to know if I would fall victim) and how he lied that I wasn't supposed to pay yet till after the procedure.
Maybe scam is not the best choice of word but it's pretty close

I think next time you should just ensure you pay to the cashier and get your receipt . making a case out of it may or may not yield the desired outcome. You might be surprised that other staff will fault you for reporting the case.
tnx a lot for ur input

Sorry OP its not a new thing. I am of the opinion that unless there is a very strict punishment (e.g capital punishment) corruption can never be eradicated in Nigeria.

I have worked in an hospital system before as an IT student ,a general hospital in Lagos and its exactly the way it is. Our general hospital will never provide good health care except these things are gotten rid of.

When I first resumed in the Lab, I observed that some of the staff do tests for people with government facilities and collect money from patients and pocket it. PT was 500naira then, some even buy the strips themselves for maybe 50naira I think run the tests for the patient give him a result on thglab paper and pocket the money. It was like that for all departments in that Lab, Hematology, microbiology, biochemistry and blood banking.

Blood bank was where the money was, one pint was like 3k then and these people will sell and pocket the cash without recording because if you record and the cash doesn't reflect in accounts its an issue but blood bank was where they were always caught once pre liminary tests are done on a donors sample(mostly husbands of pregnant ladies)and seems okay they will collect their blood donation and it used to be sent for further testing at NIMR(I guess) they would be brought back after like 2-3months. Some blood samples are not brought back probably for testing positive to some things.

Now the hospital is paying that organization for that service so there is record, by the time they bring the blood there is also a record, when we try to reconcile the amount of blood sold with the Lab and the amount brought it doesn't match simply because some people have pocketed the money meanwhile the hospital has paid a lot of money and at the end of the day its a loss on their part. Wahala will now start , we all will now start pretending as if we don't know where the problem came from.

The only section there was nothing like that is HIV and its simply because it is free. We rotate working in each section as an IT student.

It even got worse at some point, it was an individual thing before it now became a general thing in that lab, all the money collected from runs will be gathered at the end of a business day and shared according to heirachy .

HOD takes the highest, the next ogas next, down to the technicians and they even use to give us IT students like 100-150 naira each for transport depending on "sales".(I now know better sha) Imagine someone making like 3k extra every day as at 2009.

Government buys equipment government buys reagents, we use the equipment, reagents pocket the money and we expect government to buy more reagents and also pay salary and some reagents for those automated analysers cost a lot. I am part of those that believe an hospital should be able to take care of its running expenses from the income it makes since government built ,equipped and is paying salaries but CORRUPTION won't allow these happen, as long as we are eating the money wewill not have good public health care .

Pharmacy nko, the day my cousin did wahala for them at the pharmacy, that was when Fashola said 60 and above , 12years and below they should be treated free and have free drugs but you see that free pharmacy they never have drugs, only paracetamol and etc. So my cousin who was a Lagos state teacher (they use to have free treatment then) brought her son below andafter they prescribed drugs for him they went to the free pharmacy, they didnt have anything on the list even vitamins. One would think my cousin was a perm sec with the way she packages her self lool , she started making some calls and speaking phony English ooo as if she was calling to confirm if the consignment was not delivered to the pharmacy. She said the next thing the drugs began to surface ooo. Everything on the list was given to her son. Its that same hospital. Loool.

If government won't make profit from hospitals at least we should let the little they provide go round to us. Governments effort will always be futile as long as we are there to frustrate it.

If we don't impleemt the change begins with me campaign naija is not going anywhere. I mean no where.

General Hospitals and the civil service are the throne of corruption in Nigeria(after the Nigerian police) An average Nigerian wants to get something for a job he/she is being paid to do.

As much as Fashola tried to cleanse that system them people still found a way around it. I hope things are better now sha.I heared they put numbers to call within the maternal and child care centers if anyone asks anything from you.
It's very bad, and I later got to find out I Paid more than I was supposed to. I really dunno what can be done to eradicate this menace that has eaten so deep into the society. Do you advice I go back to the hospital and make a case out of it
