Women are usually more sensory acute than men. They are more intuitive in detecting emotions and when a guy is interested. But there are times that you will meet a guy who is overly shy and discreet in expressing his feelings.

For the ladies out there who are curious (and sometimes clueless) as to how a guy feels about you, here are some signs/indications. Bear in mind, these are only indications and you need to calibrate his behaviors before making your conclusions:

1. He will be distracted when you are nearby and will steal glances at you and if you do notice him, he might look inconspicuous and pretends to look elsewhere.

2. He laughs at your jokes even if they are lame and no one laughs. If he is the office idiot, this one doesn’t count.

3. He may get nervous and stutters when he speaks to you [provided that he does not stutter in normal circumstances]. This is akin to the phenomenon when one gets tongue tied, head over heels and world got turned upside down. It has something to do with the bodily chemicals when one is in love.

4. He listens to you and remembers everything that you say, no matter how insignificant or crappy those things are.

5. He makes time and does little tasks and favors when you ask him. Just make sure that he is not the office ‘doormat’ that does things for everybody.

6. He notices new things about you and compliments you on your new hairdo, new dress, new shoes, etc.

7. He appears jealous when you are with another guy. According to Dr. David Buss in his book, The Dangerous Passion: Why Jealousy is as Necessary as Love and Sex, jealousy is a defense shield of love that men use to fend off constant threat from rivals and the possibility of betrayal from a partner.

8. He treats you a little different than how he treats other girls. Somehow, because he thinks of you a lot, he subconsciously displays more affection for you without realizing it.

9. He talks and looks at you differently than other people. It could be a longer eye contact or a more distinct smile when he talks to you.

10. When you are conversing with him and your friends, he responds mostly to you and not so much to your other friends. He looks at you whenever you speak and he may act as if your other friends do not really exist.

With all being said, the most ideal way to find out is to ask him if he is interested in you or drop hints. Anyway, most girls are pretty intuitive. If you get the feeling that he likes you, he probably does.

Family sources said the Kogi governor might still be flown abroad if the hospital proved incapable of handling his case.

The family of injured Governor Idris Wada of Kogi is suspicious that the auto crash that broke Mr. Wada’s leg, killed his security aide and injured two other state officials was masterminded by “unknown forces” to kill the governor.

“We have no doubt that the governor was the target of their machination,” a family source said. “They want to kill him. They want to eliminate him at all cost.”

The source, who preferred not to be named because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, repeatedly declined who to name those the family believe were behind the accident.

He only kept saying the accident was not ordinary.

He said it was curious that even though several vehicles were in the convoy, only the governor’s car was affected.

Even when reminded that only the governor’s car had a burst tyre, he said, “Yes, his car had a burst tyre and veered off the road. Why is it that the cars behind didn’t ram into him. Nothing happened to all the other cars in the convoy.”

The source went on to explain that the Kogi governor’s car is a bullet proof Lexus Jeep, and that an ordinary accident wouldn’t trigger the magnitude of impact the car suffered.

“It was a state-of-the art car and everything in it was bullet proof, the windscreen, the body and other parts. It was fortified against this kind of crash,” he added. “How come everything failed? It is now clear that the governor’s life is at risk.”

But when contacted, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Jacob Edi, said he was not aware that anybody was after the governor’s life.

He said although there might be some disgruntled politicians in Kogi State, he was not sure that anyone would go to the “ridiculous extent of trying to kill the governor”.

“All I know is that we were in a convoy and there was an accident,” Mr. Edi said. “I leave the rest of the decision to the police and the Federal Road Safety Commission.”

On Friday, along the Lokoja-Ajaokuta highway, Mr. Idris’ convoy got  involved in a fatal auto crash  that killed his security aide, Idris Mohammed, on the spot and injured two other officials.

Doctors at the Lokoja Specialist Hospital, where Mr. Wada first received treatment, said his leg is “totally broken.”

Mr. Wada was later rushed to Cedar Crest Hospital, a private clinic in Abuja, where he is receiving treatment.

Family sources said the Kogi governor might still be flown abroad if the hospital proved incapable of handling his case.

The convoy of Governor Wada Idris was involved in a fatal auto crash yesterday, leaving the Governor in critical condition .
In the accident, Governor Wada was critically wounded and went into coma, while his Aide de Camp (ADC), Mohammed Idris, died on the spot.

According to an eyewitness account, the governor was returning from the annual Igala education summit, in Ayingba, when the front tyre of his vehicle burst and pulled off at Emi Woro village, between Prime Polytechnic and Salem University, about 12 kilometres to Lokoja, the state capital.

The vehicle somersaulted severally. Rescue operation started immediately and the injured governor was moved by an ambulance to the state’s specialist hospital in Lokoja, where medical personnel battled to save his life. Thereafter, he was transferred to an Abuja hospital in a helicopter, where plan was being finalised to fly him abroad last night. Sources said Wada sustained serious head injuries, which caused him going into coma. Also, he sustained leg injuries in the crash.

His thigh was said to have pulled off. Immediately news of the accident hit town, top government functionaries and sympathisers trooped to the Kogi Specialist Hospital, where the governor was first taken. Security personnel had however, cordoned off the hospital, to prevent access to him.

Confirming the incident, in a press statement, the state Commissioner of Information, Yabaji Bologi, said the governor was in stable condition. He confirmed that the governor had gone to declare open the annual Igala education summit at the state’s university in Ayingba.
