Romance8 Signs He Only Wants You For Sex. by nuges1(op): 8:02pm On Jan 24, 2013
…a sex-only motivated man will bolt like a thief in the night before you even have time to turn over on his side.

We’ve all been there: Sleeping with a seemingly great guy whose motives we can’t seem to figure out. Maybe he’s giving mixed signals or no signals at all. Either way, something in us makes us wonder if he’s in it just for sex. Well your first clue, should be your trusty gut, but maybe your gut isn’t so trusty because it is wrapped up in insecurity. In that case, here are eight more clues that may help you solve the mystery of whether your lover is interested in you as more than just a bedmate.

WARNING: The truth of these clues may sting, but better to know where you stand, than to lay down for too long with the wrong guy, right?

1. Weekday lovers

If your guy seems to always be MIA during the weekends, this is a clear sign that he is reserving weekends for someone else on his literal to-do list, or keeping his options open to meet other women. “When a girl is just a girl I’m into for sex, I’ll never ask her out on a weekend. Weekends are strictly reserved for A-listers and new opportunities.” – Mike, 27, Chicago

2. Sporadic contact

A guy who is really into you will communicate regularly. A guy who is in it to sex it, calls, texts, emails and pops-over only when he is feeling frisky and knows that you will indulge his desires. If the sight of your man’s name on your caller ID surprises you, chances are, this is a sex only situation.

3. Invitation to nowhere

He never invites you to go out with him – his friend’s birthday party, his work happy hour, not even a lackluster dinner and a movie. Bottom line: “Dates” are always cozy nights in. Why? Because that is the easiest place to, you guessed it… have sex.

4. Time’s up!

You spend just enough time together for a little pre-intimacy, sex and maybe a nap. Unless there’s time and desire for a round two, a sex-only motivated man will bolt like a thief in the night before you even have time to turn over on his side.

5. Late-night lovers

A sure in-it-for-the-sex-only sign is when your man only reaches out to you after hours, also known as a “booty-call”, when the day is done and quite possibly last call has been shouted. Although he coos for you sweetly on the other end of the phone, perhaps begging for your hot body, just know that you might be on a long list of lovelies, any of one of whom can satisfy his sexual cravings for the evening.

6. Tangoless texts

The sex-only guy is remorseless when it comes to leaving your texts unresponded to for hours – even days – and sometimes doesn’t respond at all… unless of course you are reaching out to setup a boudoir appointment. And in that case if his RSVP his positive, his reply back is immediate. Same goes for phone calls, emails, Facebook messages, tweets or any other form of communication.

7. Sexy speak

You two speak one language: Sex. And that’s it. If you think hard about it, you may know everything about how he likes “it” but you have no clue where his parents live, what he wanted to be when he grew up, the food that makes him gag, and if he has a middle name. There’s lots of moaning and groaning, but no chatter about work, family, friends, problems, triumphs, etc. Sam, 31, of New York says, “A woman who presents herself as a sexual showpiece will be treated that way. Come to the table at the very beginning with more than just the ability to blow me away in the bedroom. Blow away my mind too and that way I’ll consider you relationship worthy. You don’t have to play like a virgin, you just need to offer more than T&A.”

8. Listen from the beginning

He told you straight up that he doesn’t want a girlfriend, doesn’t have time for a girlfriend, can’t deal with a girlfriend… and just wants to have casual fun. It is up to you if you want to listen… but remember, most guys don’t want to deliver news that women don’t want to hear unless they really mean it. Justin, 24 from Oakland says, “Know who you are and be in charge of what you want from the beginning. If you leave it up to me, then I’m probably going to go for what is easiest… and that’s never a relationship.”

CelebritiesMen Can't Stop Fantacising,they All Want A Piece Of Me-cossy Ojiakor. by nuges1(op): 11:35am On Jan 21, 2013
Cossy Orjiakor is one of the most talked about actresses in Nigeria, even though many can’t seem to remember the last movie she was in.

Her frequent raunchy pictures on twitter have created a lot of buzz for the video vixen c*m musician, keeping her name, and ‘assets’ in the news.

And even though the ‘naughty queen,’ as she sometimes refers to herself, is criticized by many, the tiny-voiced actress boasts about being the only actress in Nollywood that has never dated or slept with an actor.

In this chat with NET, Cossy bares it all.

You are barely established in the movie industry, why jump into music?

I have always loved music. My mum had a BSc in music from the University of Nigeria when I was younger. She used to sing and dress up in cute attires and hand gloves and all. I kind of liked it. So she made me love music.

Why do you seem not to be doing a lot of movies these days?

I have been doing lots of stuff that have nothing to do with movies. I’ve been very busy, but now I’m very free. That’s why I’m getting back to music. I did a movie last year and it’s about to come out soon. I’m also working on producing a movie in April this year.

So how far have you gone with the plans for the movie?

The script writer has delivered and I’m okay with the story line. I’m just waiting for Emmanuel Ehumadu to finish up the movie he is doing now. Once he is through, he will help me out with the casting, and then shooting will start in April.

How well have your fans received your album, ‘Naughty Queen’?

My marketer has been out for a while now. He just got back, so the distribution of the hard copy will commence soon. So far, my fans love the album.

You are one artiste that doesn’t seem to care about what people say about you, how do you get the boldness to do so?

I do actually care about what people say about me, but I don’t care about what biased people say about me.

Do you think you are always being misunderstood in the media?

No, not really. I’m very down to earth, I don’t pretend. I’m as real as they come.

How do you feel when you read or hear false stories about you?

I take them as one of those things. Then if the person peddling the false story is worth it, I reply and clarify things. If the person is not worth it, I ignore it.

How was growing up for you?

Good and fun. I have the best parents and good siblings.

What were your parents’ reactions when you told them you were going into entertainment?

While growing up, my dad actually bought a grand piano for my mum, so we all played around with it. He has always encouraged me to be true to myself.

How would you describe your style?

My mood or the event determines that. Also, the time of the event matters. During day time, I’m well dressed and decent. If it’s a night party and I want to get naughty, I wear hot stuff.

Do you have a favourite fashion accessory?

I don’t have a favourite accessory though, but I can’t do without my perfumes.

I’m sure you must have a lot of men running after you?

I don’t really notice. Maybe, maybe not.

Has it occurred to you that a lot of men out there fantasize about your body?

Yeah. They fantasize about me because I have lovely body features. The type dreams are made of.

Is that why you flaunt it a lot?

Maybe

You seem to be confident with your body, do you think it makes people judge you or think lowly of you?

I don’t know

What’s the craziest thing you ever heard about yourself?

When they link me up with men I have never met before, like the coach or the footballer that was said to have bought me my SUV. Wish he could buy me a race car too (laughs).

So how do you relax when you need to?

I love massages

How would you describe yourself?

I really can’t describe, but I’m deep.
PoliticsBreaking News-henry Okah Sentenced In A South African Court. by nuges1(op): 10:57am On Jan 21, 2013
A South African court this morning found Henry Okah guilty of terrorism charges leveled against him by the Nigerian government.

The judge, Neels Claassen, pronounced Mr. Okah guilty on all the 13- count charge for which he was arraigned.

The sentencing has been fixed for January 31 or February 1 and Mr. Okah risks a life jail. He however has room for mitigation.

South African authorities had in October 2012 opened the trial of Mr. Okah, former controversial leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, two years after he was arrested for allegedly masterminding the Independence Day bombing that killed more than a dozen people in Abuja.

Mr. Okah denied the 13 charges related to acts of terrorism.

During the trial, the Minister of the Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe, was quoted by the AFP news agency as telling the court in Johannesburg that Mr. Okah was a “key figure in the Niger Delta struggle and the militants had a lot of respect for him.”

A South African prosecutor had predicted the charges against Mr. Okar would result in a “positive outcome” the BBC reported at the time.

Through his long stay behind bars, awaiting trial, Mr. Okar maintained that evidences to support the state’s claims against him were “weak” and that he did not believe he would be convicted.

The former militant leader has been in jail since the deadly blast at less than a kilometre from the Eagles Square in Abuja where President Jonathan was attending Nigeria’s 50th anniversary.

The militant group, MEND, which authorities said Mr. Okah headed, claimed responsibility for the attack. Mr. Okah has denied membership of the group and denied plotting the attacks.

Instead, he claimed the president and his aides organized the attacks in a desperate political strategy to “demonise” political opponents, and win popular sympathy ahead of the 2011 elections.

“The purpose of the 14 March 2010 bombing in my opinion was to create an atmosphere of insecurity in the Niger Delta where President Goodluck Jonathan at that time, was fighting to oust the governor Mr. Emmanuel Uduaghan whom President Goodluck Jonathan intended to replace with his Minister for Niger Delta, Mr Godsday Orubebe,” Mr. Okah said in a 194-page affivadavit in May.

Evidences gathered by the prosecution include alleged phone communication between Mr. Okah and those who carried out the attacks, allegedly on his orders, computer records, photographs purporting to show incriminating images and other materials.

Despite Mr. Okah’s repeated denials of links to MEND and the attacks, his narrative in the earlier affidavit depicted an influential person whose leverage over ex-militants, was courted by politicians.

He said he had been a long acquaintance of the president who repeatedly reached him in South Africa through the minister, Mr Orubebe, and Oronto Douglas as intermediaries seeking his backing of Mr. Jonathan for the 2011 election.

TV/MoviesJamie Fox Calls Spike Lee "Irresponsible" For His Criticisms On#django Unchained by nuges1(op): 7:56am On Jan 20, 2013
The criticism for "Django Unchained" continues to be linked to controversy.

When esteemed filmmaker Spike Lee told VIBE that he was not going to see Quentin Tarantino's latest film because the content "was disrespectful to his ancestors" and its excessive use of the N word, leading man Jamie Foxx did not hold back his opinion.

"The questions for me is: Where is Spike Lee coming from?," Foxx tells British newspaper The Sun. "I mean, I respect Spike, he's a fantastic director. But he gets a little shady when he takes shots at his colleagues without looking at the work. To me, that's irresponsible."

The film, nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Screenplay, depicts the violence of slavery in the South pre-Civil War, tied in with a love story.

Foxx defends director Tarantino and the movie business when it comes to race. "You got to look at the individual cases. When Pat Boone covered Little Richard, you think, 'Huh?', he's got no affinity for it... But you can't tell me that Eminem ain't hot 'cos he's white or that Elvis Presley isn't a bad motherf**ker, or that Quentin Tarantino can't do whatever he likes, 'cause damn straight he can."

Strange how different Lee's attitude seemed when the two bumped into each other at last year's BET Awards. "I ran into Spike Lee at the BET Awards. You know Spike, he'll let you have it whether it's good, bad or ugly," Foxx told VIBE. "And he said, 'I'm not going to say anything bad about this film. It looks like y'all are getting it."

Meanwhile, Tarantino is relishing in the fact that "Django" become the highest grosser of his career.

PoliticsBarrack Obama's Gun Control Plans, what It Really Means... by nuges1(op): 6:30am On Jan 19, 2013
State Sen. Adam Ebbin (D-VA)The Virginia Senate’s Courts of Justice Committee defeated several proposals for gun violence prevention, on party-line votes at an unscheduled meeting on Friday. And while one bill initially passed the committee — a proposal to prevent unlicensed vendors who don’t run background checks from selling firearms at gun shows — the committee rescinded its initial 8-6 vote an hour later and delayed reconsideration until Monday after a Republican Senator changed his mind. On eight-to-six votes, the committee’s Republican majority defeated proposals to require universal background checks, ban guns in Richmond’s Capitol Square, and to allow local governments to establish firearm ordinances for their own property. One Republican crossed the aisle to back a proposal to ban high-capacity magazines, but that measure too failed on a 7-7 tie. A separate bill, which would allow only federally licensed vendors who perform background checks to sell guns at Virginia gun shows initially passed with two Republicans voting in support. When one of those Republicans became concerned about the language, a hastily called informal meeting of the committee was held at the chairman’s desk at which the bill was reconsidered and postponed until Monday. Sen. Adam Ebbin (D), author of several of the defeated bills, told ThinkProgress, “It was really sad to see committee Republicans searching for any pretense to defeat bills that would require all gun buyers to go through the same commonsense background check that most buyers already go through. We don’t need to have loopholes the size of Texas. People who want to buy guns in VA and don’t want to go through the background check can easily work their and that’s deadly wrong.” Ebbin, along with Del. Patrick Hope (D), recently recorded an undercover video at a gunshow and was told since he didn’t look like a felon or a bank-robber, as long as he had a Virginia driver’s license everything would be fine. He was able to purchase guns and high-capacity magazines without any background
CelebritiesNicki, Mariah Fuss As 'american Idol' Premieres In New York by nuges1(op): 3:54pm On Jan 17, 2013
It was a tale of furry clothing accessories, "Mean Girls" quotes and British accents on the season 12 premiere of "American Idol," its first with Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Keith Urban as judges, joining the stalwart Randy Jackson
After months of questions -- could so many big names mesh well together? Would Minaj and Carey play nice? -- "Idol" came to New York with a skip in its step, following the major success of defending winner Phillip Phillips, whose smash hit, "Home," opened the show.

But rather than focus on the talent that came to the audition room over two days, much was said and shown of the rivalry between the show's female judging crew. From the get-go, the pop legend and superstar of today got in their little kicks, from the moment the latter walked into the room with a furry drum major hat.

Why 'American Idol'? Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj Talk Paths to TV

"We can have accessories? I didn't know that was allowed. That's the last thing I'll say," said Carey snarkily, prompting some choice stares from the rapper/singer. Later, Minaj could be heard whispering "she's a b*tch, she's a b*tch" through clenched teeth, Mariah announcing that she'd rebuke it if Nicki was, in fact, calling her such a word.

The new "American Idol" judges gathered for a Q&A panel on Wednesday where Nicki Minaj said that it took an endorsement by Lil Wayne to convince her to take the job.

Will New Season Be a Rebirth or Swan Song?

Site That Urges 'Idol' Watchers to 'Vote for the Worst' to Close

So civil certainly wasn't the name of the game. Following a war of British accents, prompted by Minaj talking in one and Carey responding in one mockingly, and deliberation about a "Mean Girls" quote to which Nicki had apparently responded incorrectly, Minaj left the auditions claiming that she wanted to "strangle one of the divas on the panel, but I won't tell you who." She certainly wasn't speaking of Urban, who deserves a raise for being able to sit in between the two during their constant bickering.

The site that helped -- and mocked -- "Idol" contestants including Paul McDonald, Scott Savol and Sanjaya Malakar is calling it quits after Season 12.

.

Will New 'American Idol' Season Be Rebirth or Swan Song?

Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze -- recalling their faces may be a task. Remembering just one of their songs? Congratulations, you just won the grand prize at your local trivia night.

Such was the season premiere of "Idol," a show that once prided itself on focusing on both the good and the bad of America's talent during its audition rounds. Instead, only a select few full auditions were even shown, with only three falling under the category of laughably bad. This isn't your older brother/sister's "Idol," but that was evident in 2012.

.

'American Idol' Season 11: Where Are They Now?

New York brought some star potential, as it often does. Sarah Restuccio stood out after a country-girl-turned-rapper audition that won Minaj's heart. Gurpreet Singh Sarin -- the Turbanator -- injected some soul into the day with "Sunday Morning" (and confirmed that he owns 40-50 turbans). Angela Miller provided the day's top audition despite major hearing loss. Frankie Ford went from subway busker to Hollywood-bound.

It's been seven months since "American Idol"'s 2012 iteration ended, though we still feel its aftershock in everyday life, provided you own a TV or listen to the radio, therefore often hearing or seeing its most recent victor, Phillip Phillips, buoyed tremendously by hit single "Home.

Jessica Sanchez Wraps Debut Album, Talks 'Dancey' Single

The show's preview of the next episode -- Chicago -- tendered a glimpse into what can be expected from the judging panel, which appears to be enough of an argument between the usual gang that they implore the auditioning contestant to leave the room before things get messy. Though it's unclear if choice singing talent will be featured on the show in upcoming episodes, one can be sure of one thing: the diva fight may be just getting started
EntertainmentThe Closest ‘africa’ Got To The 85th Oscar Academy Awards Is ‘war Witch' by nuges1(op): 3:11pm On Jan 17, 2013
African cinema has been left out of this year’s Oscar Academy Awards held annually in the United States Of America, however  ‘War Witch’  which is a Canadian movie  by  Montreal director Kim Nguyen which tells the story about a child soldier in an anonymous African country was nominated in the Foreign Language Category.

‘War Witch’ is not a production by an African nation but it tells a significant African story.  The film was shot in the Congo with a cast of unknown actors and actresses such as the star, Rachel Mwanza, a newcomer who was discovered on the streets of Kinshasa.

Mwanza won the Best Actress in a Narrative Feature Film Award at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival.  The film took home the Founders Award for best narrative feature also at Tribeca.   Fans of African cinema across the globe will have to be consoled with this entry as this is the closest to the continent making an appearance at this prestigious awards ceremony.

For this 85th Academy Awards a record number of 71 submissions were entered to compete for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Four of the films were from Africa, from Kenya, Algeria, Morocco and South Africa with Kenya submitting its very first film. Obviously absent was Africa’s biggest film industry: Nigeria’s Nollywood. Kenya entered Nairobi Half Life, directed by David “Tosh” Gitonga which was awarded the Audience Breakthrough Award at the American Film Institute (AFI) FEST 2012.  It tells the story of a young, aspiring actor from up country Kenya and his dreams of becoming a success in the big city, Nairobi.

South Africa entered “Little One” (Umfaan) which tells the story of a young r*pe victim who is left for dead in a township near Johannesburg and rescued by a middle-aged woman.   Both entries did not make the shortlist and eventual Oscar nominees list.

The other two entries which didn’t make the list were Zabana! From Algeria,  directed by Said Ould Khelifa, a biographical film on the life of Algerian freedom fighter, Ahmed Zabana, whose execution in 1956 by French colonial authorities ignited the “Battle of Algiers”. Morocco’s entry  Death for Sale, directed by Faouzi Bensaïdi, tells the story of Malik, Allal and Soufiane, three young petty criminals, who decide to rob a jewellery store. The attempted robbery goes awry and everything starts to fall apart.

Another film which African film fans put their hope on was the Adventures in Zambezia, directed by Wayne Thornley, an animation feature length movie which was one of 2012’s acclaimed movies off the continent. The film won the award for Best South African Feature Film at the 33rd Durban International Film Festival.  It was one of the 21 movies submitted to the animated Feature Film category however it did not make the eventual nominees list and was left out along with the other four African entries.

African cinema may not have made an appearance on the eventual nominees list but the fact that five movies were put forward is a good thing and a small representation of the good year that followed movies belonging to the ‘Class of 2012’. I hope that in the very near future Nigeria will make an appearance at the Oscars especially with the quality of productions that we have been churning out recently.

PoliticsRe: Boko-Haram Member Arrested In Ex-rep’s House by nuges1(m): 5:14pm On Jan 13, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: The State Security Service (SSS) has arrested a Boko Haram member, Hassan Pagi Bukar, at the residence of a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tijani Umara Kumalia.

Bukar is suspected of visiting Abuja to wreak some havoc. The ex-lawmaker was interrogated by the SSS on Friday.
He denied having any link with Boko Haram.

Investigation revealed that the suspect, who has been on the wanted list of security agencies, was arrested at the residence of the ex-lawmaker in Gwarinpa District of Abuja following a tip-off by some people.

A source said of the suspect’s arrest: “ He has been operating in some cells of Boko Haram in Maiduguri and Damaturu. We have been looking for him in the last few months.

“Some of the intelligence reports on him had indicated that he used to source vehicles for Boko Haram for suicide missions.
“We got a tip-off that Bukar had sneaked into Abuja on Thursday for a purpose which we strongly suspected was to drop some bomb explosives.

Based on intelligence gathering, we took pre-emptive steps and arrested him at the home ofthe ex-lawmaker.

“He is with the SSS where heis currently undergoing interrogation. We also quizzed the ex-lawmaker onFriday.”
Continuing the source said: “We are probing clues that Bukar’s brief is to receive hijacked or sourced vehiclesfrom top Boko Haram members, including one Babawo and another called SENIOR and other leaders that are prime targets of security agents.

“Bukar was arrested in the Abuja residence of one Hon.Tijani Umara Kumalia, a 2003-2007 member of the House of Representatives.

“The suspect was picked up with Kumalia’s gateman whom the ex-Rep claimed was employed from Sokoto to guard the house.
“On interrogation, Bukar admitted to his role in the sect.

The source said: “Though Kumaila is not being detained, he is now reporting at scheduled periods to SSS.

“Security agents have since established that almost all vehicles used for suicide bombings by the sect are sourced in one suspicious way or the other.”

The Joint Task Force in the North-East is currently on the trail of the 19 leaders, who were declared wanted in November last year.
A source said: “We are still searching for them; we have not been able to locateany. But with the collaboration of all security agencies, we will succeed.
“We are also working round the clock to protect lives and property in the zone.”

The JTF’s list comprised five members of the Shurra Committee (the highest making body of the sect) and 19 Boko Haram commanders.

Those affected are five members of the Shurra Committee of the sect including, Imam Abubakar Shekau (N50million); HabibuYusuf (a.k.a Asalafi) N25million; Khalid Albarnawai ( N25million); Momodu Bama (N25 million); and Mohammed Zangina (N25million)

It's so sad that this quagmire of boko haram has refused to go away,as much as I want to believe that this boko haram people are set to destroy the christians making it a religious palavar but I also want to believe that it has a political undertone using it as a tool to punish politicians that tend to fallout or are not in support of what they do...

Most ladies nowadays can't function if
there is no cash involved. The urge for material things
has changed the STORY OF LOVE. Do NOT make money
your only priority when choosing your spouse, only spend
it when necessary. There's more to marriage than money
alone. A man with a good heart is better than a rich man
with the heart of a beast. Most women say they want
security in life so they won’t date the poor, I know so
many Carpenters and Bricklayers that have built their
house and fed their families through their hard work

but girls hardly look their side. If he's not rich today
doesn't mean he will be poor for life as long as he is
ambitious. The happiness and security of your life is
YOUR responsibility. Those who choose never to endure
at all may have to suffer for long. Getting married to the
rich doesn't guarantee happiness in life. HAPPINESS IS
PRICELESS. Perhaps
those who say they will rather cry inside a Range Rover
Sports than laughing on a bicycle have never
experienced pain in their life. Some relationship
mistakes can cause life regrets. Many young women
have blindly turned themselves to TEST DRIVE VEHICLE
for the love of material things. What qualified you as
great woman is not in designer Prada shoes and Gucci
bags. It’s in your good heart, good characters
and real personality. When a real man finds a wife in you
he will never let you go, this is guaranteed. It’s funny how
material women blame men for breaking their heart and
conclude men are the same. A man who wins your love
with cash may not stay for long. Real men don't settle
down with fake women, they might be your temporary
server but they'll leave as soon as the coast is cleared.
THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN FIND A FAKE WOMAN IS
TEMPORARILY IN THE HEART OF A FOOLISH MAN.
