ZIK'S LEADERSHIP AWARD TO UMAHI; AN HONOUR WELL DESERVED By Philip Nweze On Sunday, June 4, 2017, the whole Nigeria collapsed into one large hall, the Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. The occasion was the prestigious Zik's award for good leadership. It was one huge indoor carnival where thousands of Nigerians gathered to honour men and women of substance. The award was to serve as reward for those who have impacted the society positively. The surging crowd nearly overwhelmed the organisers as they thirsted for a glimpse of recipients of the much coveted awards. The award ceremony that had business moguls like Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote; politicians and bankers in attendance cut across all segments of the society, with serving and former administrators, captains of industries, and others decorated and gifted with beautiful plaques. One of the most attractive shows of the night was the large entourage of Ebonyi state delegation who accompanied Governor Umahi to the venue in solidarity and appreciation of what they said was the Governor's outstanding performance in office so far. The delegation therefore sang and danced, while expressing appreciation to PPRAC for honouring their leader. The Ziks awards are some of the most prestigious honours to be bestowed in this country. One just needs to look back at the calibre and pedigree of previous awardees to realise that this is not just another award ceremony but a celebration of the best and brightest that our country has to offer. By 22:15 hours when Governor Umahi mounted the podium of the conference hall, to receive the prestigious Zik's prize for good governance, applause and acclaims poured in from no less a personality than the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Obasanjo known for his brutal frankness generously praised the obvious marks of good governance as exemplified by Umahi administration which to him was worthy of the ideals of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe. The striking line from him that captured it all was: "This Governor (Umahi) is a doer, an achiever. I have seen him at work and I know what he is doing in the state." The Public Policy Advocacy Research Centre (PPRAC), organisers of the awards is noted for its eagle-eye focus on the performance of political office holders in the desire to defend the Nigerian people even from its leaders. Governor Umahi was chosen on the basis of his current transformation efforts. He was recognised for bringing seriousness and responsibility to the business of governance, for changing the sad narrative in his state, with his rock-solid infrastructural revolution and sound people oriented programmes, for his ability to translate campaign promises into action. He is a golden fish that has no hiding place. The Governor has a penchant style of leadership hardly recorded since the return of democracy in the state. Umahi is a silent achiever, a man not given to empty self-glorification. A man who works for a cause, not for applause. Who wakes up everyday thinking of how to uplift Ebonyi people from the decimate status that hitherto characterised them. He does the ruling and waits for others to do the rating. Ebonyi state is second to none in terms of infrastructural developments. Umahi with his divine endowed wisdom is the architect that is fast bringing out the beauty of the state and injecting new philosophies in the minds of Nigerians that Ebonyi will play a leading role in the Nigerian economy one day. The word Umahi is synonymous with working and nothing but work. Whenever I read the immortal words of Buddha by my bedside: "Silence the angry man with love, silence the I'll natured man with kindness, silence the mixer with generosity and the list with the truth", Governor Umahi's attributes as a humble, detribalized and committed leader come to mind. The governor has transformed many political attack dogs and bats into useful tools of development using his deep sense of humility in ruling the state. He has never developed any part of the state at the exclusion of others. This clearly shows that the governor is detribalized. This award is well deserved. This very important honour stands the governor above even it's worst critics, perhaps until they rethink a new strategy and find their voices again. The Zik's leadership awards is an annual event commemorated in line with its tradition of celebrating individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour and made outstanding contributions in Nigeria and the world in the course of the year. The conferment of the award on Umahi is no exception. PPRAC in its efforts aimed at highlighting what forms a people focused Leadership found the performance of Governor Umahi worthy of recognition. It has come to the knowledge of PPRAC that Governor Umahi deserves a pat on the back for, as an Ibo proverb said, when a warrior is praised, he does greater exploits. The other recipients of the awards were the Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele; Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State and Dr Abdulahi Ganduje of Kano State. While the award for Good Governance went to the Ebonyi State Governor, that for Professional Leadership was conferred on Godwin Emefiele, CBN Governor. The Award for Humanitarian Service was received by Dr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu while Alhaji Ahmed Joda and Mrs Chinelo Anohu-Amazu received Public Service Awards. Dr Kesington Adebutu and Dr Daniel Chukwudozie were awarded for Business Leadership.

It is not wrong for people to agitate -Gov. Umahi By Ameh Comrade Godwin Chairman, South-East Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi has stated that it is within the fundamental human rights of people to agitate. Governor Umahi made this disclosure while fielding questions on behalf of the South-East delegation that met with the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, in a closed-door session at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said that the meeting was not about the Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB, but on the unity of the country. He said, “The meeting is not about IPOB, it is about to stressed the need for security of lives and properties of Nigerians all over Nigeria and to stress the need for a united, honest, fair and equitable Nigeria. That was what the meeting was about. “It was a wonderful meeting and the message we taking back is that there is hope for a united and peaceful Nigeria and everybody should work hard. We emphasis the need for everybody to restrain from making hate statements. We should be making statements that will be binding us together, statements of love, statements of unity, and statements of hope and of course we should also work very hard.” On the message the delegations would be sending to the agitators, he said, “Everybody has a right to agitate but we emphasis the need for peaceful agitation. Even you agitate, your wife agitates at home that the feeding money is not enough, so it is fundamental right but is the manner you go about it. So it is not an issue that cannot be resolved.” via dailypost

Disregard reports on planned evacuation of Ndigbo from North- S'East Govs The South-East Governors Forum yesterday moved to douse the tension generated my online media reports that it planned to dispatch luxury buses and trucks to evacuate Ndigbo from the North. Chairman of the forum, Engr. David Umahi, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues in Abakaliki, dismissed the report and called on the Igbo resident in the North to ignore the ultimatum given by a coalition of Northern youths in Nigeria, Arewa Consultative Youth Forum. The northern youths after their meeting in Kaduna had directed the Igbo in the North to relocate from the zone within three months. But Umahi, who is also the Governor of Ebonyi State, told journalists at a press conference that the Igbo should go about their normal business in the north as security agencies, his colleagues and himself will not allow them to suffer any harm in the North. He described the relocation order as provocative and commended the Presidency, the Senate, security agencies , Kaduna State Governor, Nasir EL-Rufai and other stakeholders for rising up to the occasion by condemning the ultimatum. A news release by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya, quoted Umahi as saying: “The attention of the South- East Governors Forum has been drawn to the widely publicized ultimatum credited to a coalition of 16 Northern youth associations demanding that Igbos in Northern Nigeria should vacate the region within 90 days or before October 1, 2017 and equally urging northerners resident within Igbo land to return to the North within the time frame. We have carefully considered the content of the highly provocative statement and reflected on its implications on Ndigbo and specifically on the nation in general. “This public statement is intended to accomplish a couple of objectives one of which is to the expression of our deep appreciation to all Nigerians and the Presidency. The South-East Governors' Forum has repeatedly reiterated its commitment to and preference for the existence of a virile, united, prosperous and progressive Federal Republic of Nigeria where justice, fairness, equity, mutual respect and equality of opportunity to all citizens regardless of creed, ethnicity or gender will reign supreme under the inflexible rule of law. "We have had occasion recently to take this position publicly in response to the agitative but peaceful actions of some Igbo youths. We will continue to take a similar stance in response to any action that might threaten the cohesiveness of this nation or designed to cause its rupture. “The lives and property of law-abiding citizens of Igbo extraction are as precious as the lives and property of all Nigerians irrespective of the region of their abode within this republic. These must be guaranteed and defended against all forms of threats, both domestic and external, by the security forces/agencies of the federal republic of Nigeria. We the governors of the south east are collaborating effectively with the security agencies to ensure that no harm of any destruction is visited upon any law-abiding Nigerian citizen resident in the South East of Nigeria, including those from the North of Nigeria.” The South- East governors denounced the rumour that they met and agreed to mobilize vehicles and cash for repatriation of the Igbo in the North, describing it as tissues of lies. They added,“We call on all our Igbo sons and daughters resident in Northern Nigeria to go about their lawful daily engagements without fear of intimidation, hindrance or molestation. The rumours being peddled on conventional and social media platforms that we, the governors of the South- East, have met and agreed to mobilize vehicles and cash for the repatriation of Ndigbo resident in northern Nigeria must be disregarded, as they are nothing but tissues of lies. "No amount of provocation would lead us to such a precipitate and irresponsible action at this time. Those exploiting such vacuous tittle-tattle as a basis for divisive rhetoric in public spaces are simply playing juvenile politics and we urge them to cease and desist.” |

PUBLIC NOTICE! It has come to our notice that some unscrupulous people being sponsored by opposition political party in the state have been spreading false information that South East Governors met today at Abakaliki and we wish to categorically state that they is no such meeting. It is just an attempt to misinform the general public and therefore pinch the South East Governors against the Igbo people and other component units of the federation. No such meeting was held in Abakaliki the state capital of Ebonyi state, we therefore urge the general public to discontinuance all such information emanating from social media or other sources as they are total falsehood. We however apeal to our brothers and sisters of the Igbo extraction to remain calm as they is no cause for alarm. Signed Agwu Francis Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Ebonyi State Governor |
Obasanjo at Zik Prize for Leadership, says Umahi is an achiever Nigeria’s former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has extolled the leadership qualities of Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, describing him as "an achiever." Obasanjo, at the presentation of the 2016 Zik Prize for Leadership in Lagos on Sunday night, said Umahi's focus and passion had brought unprecedented transformations and development in all sectors of Ebonyi State. He stated that the obvious marks of good governance as exemplified by the Umahi administration was worthy of the ideals of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who was in his life time called Zik of Africa. A statement on Monday by Umahi's Chief Press Secretary, Emma Anya, quoted the former President as adding that the award was deserving of the recipient for his distinctive performance in his calling as a democratic leader. “This Governor(Umahi) is a doer, an achiever: I have seen him at work and I know what he is doing in his state,” Obasanjo stressed at the event had business moguls like Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote; politicians and bankers in attendance. The former President expressed optimism that the honour would encourage Umahi and other recipients for greater achievements akin to those of the late sage, Dr. Azikiwe. The other recipients of the award were Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele; Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State and Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje of Kano State. While the award for Good Governance went to the Ebonyi State Governor; that of Professional Leadership was conferred on Emefiele. The award for Humanitarian Service was bagged by Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu while Alhaji Ahmed Joda and Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu received Public Service Awards. Dr. Kesington Adebutu and Dr. Daniel Chukwudozie were awarded for Business Leadership. Speaking on behalf of other awardees, Umahi emphasised that Nigeria at present needed exemplary leaders like Zik to offer quality services to the people as well as promote the spirit of unity in the country. “We need exemplary leaders like Zik at a time when our understanding of a united Nigeria is troubled,” an elated Umahi noted. He expressed belief in one indivisible Nigeria built in love, peace, fairness, equity and justice, adding that the award would spur him to greater works and services to the people “especially to pursue those virtues for which Zik of Africa lived and died in this country.” The governor expressed appreciation to God for His grace and to the organisers of the event, Public Policy, Research and Analysis Centre (PPRAC) for its integrity. In a key note address, the Executive Director of PPRAC, Chief Mac Nwabara observed that the Zik Prize in Leadership was instituted over two decades ago to help raise leadership bar in Africa; from politics to education and marketing to industry for those who have charted a way for others to follow. Noting that “leadership used properly will promote a society”, he stressed the need for a course correction in Nigeria based on corrupt-free leadership and good conscience without which, the nation cannot move forward. He urged the awardees to continue to consistently raise the bar of leadership for which they were nominated for the award, devoid of any form of disappointment. The Chairman of the event, Professor Joe Irukwu (SAN), in his remark poured encomiums on the late Azikiwe who ,according to him, laid foundation for effective and unifying leadership in the country. He challenged all modern day leaders to strive to promote the legacies of the late icon and commended the organizers for the caliber of the nominee. Other prominent Nigerians that graced the event were Billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola; former Managing Director of Access Bank Aig-Imouhuode; Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Kelechi Igwe ; many members of the state Executive Council and House of Assembly.

Emmanuel Obasi Okike Wrote: The Recent Transformation Of Ebonyi State And Governance in Nigeria Ebonyi State upon creation in the 1st day of October, 1996 has Abakaliki as its State capital. The State for long has been low ranking State because of lack of social amenities, infrastructural development and low IGR generation. Abakaliki, the State capital remained but a shadow of what a State capital should be in terms of developmental advancements and beautification. Ebonyi State remained in this condition even after 16years of democratic leadership. However, these are not the story again as there are massive transformation and uniform development of the State within 2years of vision ladened leadership of His Excellency Engr. (Chief) David Nweze Umahi. This uncommon transformation has taken the State from what one could described as a 3rd class State, a looked down upon State to a centre of Excellence from the area of infrastructural development to the area of farming. The giant strides, world class projects and good governance of His Excellency have proven what Greg Mills said in his famous book "Why Africans are poor and what Africans can do about it" to be true. He said that "Africans are poor because their leaders chosen that path". It therefore gladdens me that His Excellency has chosen the right path for the liberation and advancement of the State. He has demonstrated that with committed leadership and vision a State can be transformed in a short period of time even with limited resources. The distinctive leadership of Gov. David Umahi has demonstrated clearly that what has been bedevilling Nigeria is simply the problem of leadership. What His Excellency has is that we are not children of a lesser god that an Ebonyian can give effective and efficient representation. He has exercised through his qualitative works that with concerted efforts by our leaders at various levels that Nigeria can be developed. The governance in Ebonyi State has given insight into the person of Gov. David Umahi as a man who understands and grasp the true concept of genuine service. What the leadership team of Ebonyi State have achieved within 2years is an indication that it doesn't take so long develop a nation, state or community but with a committed and purposeful leadership it can be achieved in months. What can we the population learn from leadership team and governance in Ebonyi State? It has been argued that governance thrives well when men and women who are entrusted with political positions are men and women of integrity. It is therefore important that Nigerians learn that lifestyle audit is necessary for those who engage in public services at all levels of our politics. We have seen that when the right people with positive or healthy lifestyles occupy public offices that economic growth, infrastructural transformations, and human developments are achievable. Lifestyles of those we elect are therefore important be it at the federal, State or Local government level. Another thing we can learn from the governance in Ebonyi State is the need to introduce hygiene in our politics. The day we introduce hygiene in our politics even in the least level-ward level to see that those who lead, represent or govern us are people with reputable characters that is the day Nigeria will be great again as witnessed in Ebonyi State. Uniform development of all regions will become a realizable project. Low Power generation economic crisis will be things of the past. Ebonyi State which hitherto has not been a significant player in Nigerian politics is now a major example in leadership and development charts. Ebonyi State which before now has been labeled a back ward State is gradually becoming a "Political Mecca" where leaders come to contact the anointing of development to go and develop their own areas. All these because of the extraordinary leadership skills, arts and vision of a man who was born ahead of his time His Excellency Engr. (Chief) David Nweze Umahi. All glory to God.

MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES- ACHIEVEMENTS FROM MAY 29TH, 2016 TO DATE. 1. BACKGROUND: The Ebonyi State Ministry of Water Resources was created shortly after the inauguration of the administration of His Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, in 2015. Prior to its creation, the Ministry was only a parastatal, known then as the Ebonyi State Water Corporation and was under the Ministry of Public Utilities. It was the need to bolster its operation to address the water needs of the State that necessitated its creation hence the Ministry's multi-faceted drive to achieve its objectives under its current Commissioner, Hon. Mrs. Euphemia Nwali. The Water Resources Ministry unlike other Ministries, is characteristically very challenging. This is why the current administration should be commended for its efforts in giving it the needed priorities it requires to thrive successfully. It is strongly believed that if the current tempo is sustained in the activities of the Ministry, within a short-while the problem of scarcity and robust distribution of water in the State would have been overcome. 2. ACHIEVEMENTS I. WATER PIPELINE RETICULATION: The water pipelines in the Abakaliki Capital City were laid over 30 years ago. These pipes are either asbestos(AC) or galvanized iron(GI) pipes. They have all outlived their lifespans, resulting in frequent pipe bursts whenever water is introduced in them. On assumption of office in May 29, 2015, the present Administration thought it wise and embarked on total replacement of all these outdated water pipelines, with High Density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, which is the latest technology in water pipes production. This exercise was not just restricted to replacing the outdated pipelines; areas that hitherto had no water pipelines have also been covered to further make potable water reachable to the people . Over 40 Streets, covering a total distance of 29.8 Kilometers, have so far been laid with new water pipelines. SOME OF THE STREETS AND AREAS WHICH HAVE BEEN COVERED IN THIS EXERCISE FROM MAY 2016 TO DATE INCLUDE: FETHA 1, Police Headquarters, Government House, Prisons Line, Udensi Junior Quarters, Ebonyi Voice, Otozie, Ukanwoke, Augustine Eze, Eze Ugwu-Achara road, Mbam Agbo, Ngozi Obichukwu, Nwofia, Nwambara road, Ohatekwe road, Oti, Akaeze, Nwankwo, Mbanefo, Ezeke-Ikwo, Nwodo, Amagu, St. Margret Umahi, Offia Nwali, Adol Awam, Nise, Liberation Estate, Itapa Azobu and the Anglican church headquarters, Abakaliki, just to mention a few. Massive pipe laying works are still on-going in many streets in the Capital City. II. CONSTRUCTION OF WATER TREATMENT PLANT AT ISHIAGU: The Ishiagu Community and indeed entire Ivo Local Government Area, have no existing Water Treatment Plant. Consequent to this development, the people of this Community are subjected to an untold hardship sourcing for water for their daily needs. It is for this reason, the Administration of Engr. David Nweze Umahi, being a visionary and people oriented leader; in 2016, embarked on the construction of a Water Treatment Plant at Ishiagu. This water treatment plant when completed will have a production capacity of 16,000 Cubic Meter per day and will put to an end the sufferings of the Ishiagu people in respect of water needs. Work in this project is currently in progress and have reached over 30 percent completion and His excellency is bent on sustaining the tempo of work till its completion. III. REHABILITATION OF EZILLO, OLD ABAKALIKI AND UBURU WATER SCHEMES; INCLUDING THE OVERHAULING OF EXISTING BOOSTERS STATIONS, ETC.: The Ezillo Regional Water Scheme is presently operating below 20 percent of its installed capacity. Realizing the importance of Ezillo Water Treatment Plant to the water needs of the residence of Abakaliki Capital City, the Administration of Engr. David Nweze Umahi, in collaboration with Sustainable Development Goal's (SDG's), Ebonyi State; awarded contracts for the rehabilitation of not just the Ezillo Regional Water Scheme but also the Old Abakaliki and Uburu Water Schemes, including the overhauling of the Sakamori booster stations at Ezzamgbo and the one in Abakaliki Capital City. These rehabilitations are aimed at recovering the lost production capacities of these facilities to boost the supply of potable water in the State. The collaboration with the SDG'S, is equally constructing and delivering to the people of Ezicha Community in Izzi L.G.A and Agu-Ugwu Community in Ohaozara L.G.A. a water reservoir each, to make water supply more readily available and accessible to the people of these areas. So far the works at these facilities have reached advanced level and still progressing. IV. WATER SUPPLY TO THE 13 GENERAL HOSPITALS IN THE STATE: Prior to the inception of the present Administration, the 13 General hospitals scattered across the State had no sustainable water supply source. On the assumption of office and in realization of the importance of water to these general hospitals; the Administration of Engr. David Nweze Umahi, embarked on the drilling of boreholes and construction of overhead tanks in each of these General hospitals. This project has since been completed and all the 13 General hospitals now have functional water supply sources. V. PURCHASE OF DRILLING RIGS: The Ebonyi State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (EB-RUWASSA), which is an Agency under the Ministry of Water Resources charged with the responsibility of providing water needs of the people in the rural areas, does not have a functional water Drilling Rig. Consequently, it is relatively difficult for the Ministry to meet the water supply needs of the rural dwellers. In realization of this, His excellency, ordered for two Drilling Rigs from India, for use by the Ministry. One of the two rigs, have arrived Nigeria and is awaiting clearing at the Wharf. VI. CONSTRUCTION OF WATER STORAGE TANKS AT ONU-IGBOJI, IBOKO AND OSO-EDDA RICE MILL CLUSTERS: The operation of the newly installed rice parboiling machines at the three Rice Mill Industrial Clusters, in Onu-Igboji; Ikwo, Iboko; Izzi and Oso-Edda; Afikpo-South, was hampered by the absence of water storage facilities. To address this challenge therefore, His Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, ordered for the construction of three water storage tanks and reinforced concrete base in each of these Industrial Clusters to facilitate their operations. These projects have since been completed. VII. WATER SUPPLY TO THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED ROUNDABOUT FOUNTAINS: The Five(5) water fountains in the Abakaliki Capital City are supplied water regularly through the construction of water boreholes and overhead tanks as directed by His Excellency. These are located at Udensi Roundabout, Government House Roundabout, Abacha Roundabout, Dr. Akanu Ibiam Roundabout and Presco Roundabout. VIII. WATER SUPPLY TO THE EBONYI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY: The Ebonyi State House of Assembly presently enjoys uninterrupted water supply. This is courtesy of the construction of a dedicated borehole and overhead tank in the Complex. IX. WATER SUPPLY TO AZUOFIA-EDDA: As part of its commitment to make water extensively available to the people of the rural Communities, the Ministry of Water Resources provided water Borehole to Azuofia-Eda Community in Abakaliki L.G.A. This is to take care of the water shortage characterized in the area. 3. SUMMARY: It is the desire of every responsible government to meet the needs of its people. Failing to achieve such needs, especially the fundamental ones such as the production and distribution of potable water, leaves incurable lacuna in the overall performance of such government. The Ebonyi State Government is doing all it could to achieve its water target, and it is hopefully believe that when all the efforts in this regard are successfully completed and delivered to the people, the shortcomings in the production and distribution of potable water in the State would have been fully eradicated and its sustainability achieved.

Charles Otu: Revulsion of a hallucinating hustler Charles Otu, publisher of a rag sheet newspaper called People’s Conscience, who on Tuesday used his Facebook page to criticise Governor David Umahi and attack some prominent Ebonyians is a drowning stowaway screaming on top of his voice having lost a straw to clutch to escape from being drowned in the river he caressed himself. Charles Otu parades himself as a journalist but in all sense of judgment, he’s not. He is someone who could not graduate from the university as a result of his involvement in nocturnal activities and since has not made any move to complete his education. He keeps indicting himself by conflicting his academic status as he tells people that he graduated from UNN and EBSU when it’s conspicuous to the knowledge of the saner public that he’s a drop out . It’s an irony for such a fellow to call Senior Technical Assistants and Technical Assistants appointed by Governor Umahi, some of whom had served as House of Assembly members and even Assistant Inspector-General of Police miscreants. He forgets to realise that these are patriotic Ebonyians, who unlike himself, have chosen to contribute towards the development of the state by queuing into the vision of the governor. We challenge Charles Otu to show either his NYSC discharge certificate or an exemption letter from the mandatory national service. Otu is just a hallucinating hungry hustler wallowing in abject rejection and irredeemable austerity. He is at best a wandering minstrel begging for alms of which if not given he resorts to implausible ranting and defamation of those he felt are in a position to help in government but snubbed him. It is no more news that Charles Otu keeps visiting offices in Government House begging to be assisted with jobs and finance so that he can keep his so-called junk journalism on through his rag tag sheet. It is though not bad that he begs to be assisted with job and funds but it becomes one when he instead of meeting God in prayers for assistance resorts to spewing odorous utterances and casting verbose pebbles on people and the government of Engr. David Umahi. It is clear to the public that the Ebonyi State Government has never and not ready to undertake phony deals either to favour anyone or patronize any political interest group by way of dishing vain political appointments. Those appointed TAs and STAs by the governor of the State whom he described as miscreants are no less worthy citizens of the state as their profiles are devoid of questionable articles. So, Charles Otu's perennial sorrowful outbursts should at best be described as revulsions of a hungry man rising and falling. His spews are like the last kick of a dying horse and the cackling of a bird whose limbs were lost to the predation of a wild wind! Via Ebonyi Gist
