How is RUGA different from ranching?
Open grazing is more healthy because the cattle eat fresh live organic grass whilst getting plenty exercise year around. If ranching is adopted the cattle would get much less exercise would be more prone to catching diseases and infections so would be pumped full of antibiotics. As well as getting feed grown elsewhere during dry season.
The current open-grazing system is healthier and more cost-effective abeg!

People advocated for Ranching and opposed so called Ruga.

You just called it ancient and right now, it's not sustainable.
Farmers and herders clashes, bandits and other clear disadvantages are enough to shove this way of life away.
It's an obsolete, outdated and do your research, it's not a healthy way of producing quality beef.

Cow milk production is more profitable and much more better with Ranching.

Never tolerate abuse from your spouse especially physical violent abuse. Because if they become comfortable communicating their displeasure with violence, one day they going to feel the need increase the violence because their anger has reached a new height. That may be the day they beat, stab or shoot you to death.
Nip it in the bud before the abuser gets comfortable doing it.

I feel that cats would confront a snake and even kill a snake if it has kittens it's protecting otherwise it would, only do enough to chase the snake away and wouldn't pursue it if it crawls away. The cat also would be unlikely to alert you that there is a snake in your compound or even in the house.

A dog does not have the reaction speed of a cat, so cannot safely kill a snake without risking getting bitten. But a dog is more likely to alert when it see a snake.

Herdsmen men have been roaming all over Africa with their cattle since ancient times. Open grazing remains the most healthy and cost effective way to raise cattle and produce quality beef.
When ex president Buhari suggest re-establishing ancient cattle grazing routes it was opposed, yet the idea of ranches was equally opposed.
So in the absence of a government solution then the status quo remains and every body should just be calming down.

After markets are open, then go after any trader that fails to open shop because of Sit At Home and issue them with hefty fines and failure to pay the fine should be evicted from the market.

Soludo is going the wrong way about this;
His focus should be ensuring that markets are not locked on Mondays and providing enough security that traders cannot be intimidated by IPOB enforcers.
He should threaten to sack, arrest, prosecute the management of any market locked up on a business trading day.
After that he can then threaten fine or levy on any individual traders who willfully refuse open on Mondays for Sit At Home.
Failure to pay the fine or levy should result in the trader's eventual eviction from the market.
But I know Soludo is only about eye-service and paying lip-service, because he has been on this same issue for over 4 years.
