B R U T A L L I O N Be afraid! Be very afraid!! Be very very afraid!!!
|
Calibrator:Be like say you wan make thunder re-calibrate your left blokos ![]() Gyokeres na the new Premiership ijaya (Fear!) ![]() |
McIrx:That is the goal. I also hardly post on NL these days, if you check my posts for the past years, I think I have only been active on this thread... Mostly because most of my pals have stopped posting on NL. But the truth is that I can still engage on any thread I want and pick new pals if I so choose. It is about developing the interest, reason I still post here. I was not banting with calibrator before now till he called me out last season and I had to teach him the difference between paper and real tigers ![]() If no one engages you, you are at liberty to engage others... If you call out these noisemaking paper tigers they will not let you rest with boasts, especially if they score a small victory on you. Ask Ibime for their names ![]() |
Calibrator:New order of the paper tigers! I laugh in Uganda and Cameroon where the old orders still rule for decades ![]() To Calibrate your team from FA back to Carling is a task that must be done by old orders. ![]() Don't mistake Man City taking a season nap with Man Utd doing a relegation battle. |
Hmmmmnnnn I see many paper tigers happy with additional chips, The real Tigers don't need chips to win 💪🏾 Last season we didn't qualify for knockouts, very unusual of Brutallion. So Brutallion ain't gonna play around with any paper tiger this season, You FAFO. So bring your a game when you see my team. 😨😱 It's gonna be a Brutal Season. 🐯 |
A whole Ibime ! Na you people dey look for Ibime's trouble now o. When he vex and start castrating you people home and away next season... make una no cry say una no get erection again o ![]() |
Ibime:True. That is what makes it an interesting game. We might also not know who the main league winner is. We need to find ways and means of the regulars not feeling we are gaming with bots. We might also need another Classic League strictly for active members here to increase the engagements and the banters. raumdeuter:True, we really need that. Makes it much fun! |
Centyakam:Congratulations! |
Calibrator:When next you are paired with a Legend, I mean a real TIGER like BRUTTALION, you don't make mouth until you have escaped the claws of the TIGER. If you had not made mouth and disrespected Brutal BRUTTALION like this, you probably might have made it to the Final. The season ended for BRUTTALION after realizing we will be unable to make the FA cut-out, but well above relegation. We had NO interest and still don't have interest in Bongo cup. So we might not have remembered the deadline sef or do any serious thinking with the team, but your disrespect drew us out for GW37. Come be say we wasted the triple captain chip on you sef. We thought you will change your AM chip from Iraola to a more promising manager. Tutorial from a Real Tiger to a Paper-tiger: You wasted the Assistant Manager chip for GW37, how could you have banked on Iraola who was meeting City that have a must-win game to qualify for CL? Next time, stay humbled - We are still Brutal BRUTTALION! ![]()
|
Griffon:Sorry bro! Thank God you made it out alive to tell the story. Get back to full recovery sooner bro! |
Ibime: iykmora:You see me so. Me Brutal - Brutallion a paper tiger? I only joined that Bongo league to support those sharing the codes on this thread o. I wasn't even checking my performance on that league till now. Well I no blame am sa. I don take heart ![]() |
I think I can reliably claim to have escaped relegation. ![]() Next season, I need to show all these paper tigers that Brutallion is still very brutal under professor Killer ![]() |
tshabalala:The post iamoyindamola agreed to is not about changing the rules, but on doing something about the ghost members, and no one is saying those who make semi in Carling cup should not be promoted. The idea of ridding ghost participants is not an attempt to change the rules, but to strengthen it. Even all the while Ibime and Mukina2 were handling it in the past, they made room in FA for Carling Cup Finalists if they show up on time. If we rid the ghost members in FA Cup, where do you think we will get their replacements? It will be from those who are doing well in Carling Cup and also active on the thread. Like I said our primary aim is to have fun, the relegation and promotion idea will also add more fun to the game, but where is the fun when those considered are not active to banter? |
tshabalala:Even if we discard the idea of automatic ticket for former winners and priority for active banterers, which I have no problem with, something still has to be done about having ghost participants especially in our top h2h league. There is no fun having 50% or more of the participants not showing up here after collecting codes. The primary purpose of this game is to have fun since there are no prices to be won. I rarely post on NL now, but I still actively follow this thread after reading news and comments on home page threads, because of the fun of it, nobody will remove anyone doing well that also participates in the banter here, even if it is once in a while. |
iamoyindamola:Haaaa.... Sounds like fun, but it wont be funny if I enter 17th position or if a whole Legendary Chief Ipukulubiye Ibime Ayapripri Jack-Daniel of The Niger Delta Kingdom gets relegated ![]() So what happens if any of the supposed promoted team doesn't show up on time at the beginning of the new season? |
iamoyindamola:lol... abeg how many teams dey go relegation? because even me no too dey sure for myself now o. Na relegation battle i dey now o. Before the game week, I go dey feel like a lion, only to see my team being dealt with like a papertiger, I am not a certain team at old trashford na ![]() Well immunity suppose cover those of us ex-champions from going relegation abi... I mean we the real tigers ![]() Anyways it's not over till its over... ![]() |
Oasis007:OAM4J is Brutallion ![]() |
iamoyindamola:Pele. Being an Administrator no be small work ![]() What you can do is to open a file and keep the moniker, team name and email address of all the people you are sending codes now, in their different categories. It will make the job easier for you next season, as you will only need to sort out those being promoted and those going relegation. |
Oasis007:Go ahead my brother. Be strict about the bold qualification. Like you suggested, let's use it to promote active participation on the thread. |
iamoyindamola:lol.. You just started do you want to start complaining so soon? ![]() @ Oasis007 you can still create the Elite league o if you can run and manage it |
Oasis007:That will be extra work, but if you guys have the time and energy, fine by me... Just that 20 will be too small for the Elite league you suggested, I will suggest 50; which should include all the participants of FA and Carling cups, plus additional 10 participants that did well in the main league in the previous season. Otherwise, I will say if the thread for new season is not pushed to the home page, participation is not automatic every new season, and only those who visit the thread on NL-EPL Section will see the code for the main League, then participation will be limited to some extent to serious participants. |
iamoyindamola:Try and create the same leagues we are used to or more; (Even though according to Ibime's analysis, you are a paper tiger ) you are one of the most active on this thread come rain come shine I can recommend after Ibime. I suggest you and Oasis007 fine-tune the rules and conditions going forward and open a new thread for the new season and let's understand the new rules (if any) before sharing the codes.Let's do these quickly, the season is opened already. |
Ibime:lol, you don become elder Stateman be that. |
Happy birthday Seun! Many happy returns! Have your dreams-fulfilled new year. |
FPL News.... FPL managers will now be able to bank FIVE free transfers. This is an increase from two. Secondly, you will KEEP your banked transfers even when you play a chip. Also Fantasy managers will be given a NEW CHIP in 2024/25, to go alongside the two Wildcards, the Bench Boost, the Free Hit and the Triple Captain. At this stage, it's only known as the "Mystery Chip" We will know the details about the chip later. getting more interesting.... |
Ibime:Whao! I know it's not easy. You and Mukina2 have tried. iamoyindamola:Why not just create the leagues so it will be easier for you to control wrong entries after sharing codes. You might need 1 or 2 more assistants. Also let's see which and which recommendations/ suggestions earlier made can be implemented going forward, so the rules can be set at once... These is just my own personal suggestion which is subject to majority of the active members' agreement. |
iamoyindamola:Oh okay I get it. Sorry I have not created a league before. That means Mukina owns the email to all the league we are presently playing... And we can not have a neutral league because the creator must have his/her team in the league too... A bit complicated to make the league independent of a particular player. Well you guys should work out whatever idea and changes that are convenient to implement. |
Oasis007: iamoyindamola:I don't mean participant emails. I mean the email accounts used to create the main league, FA and Carling cups. As at now, I think only Mukina2 (or with Ibime) has access to that email, if she is busy or for one reason unable to reactive those league accounts on time in a new season, then all participants will be stranded. All the administrators should be able to reactivate those league accounts, control and monitor the participants, so they can weed out those who are not meant to be in a particular league but got the codes through the backdoors or those who break any set rule... |
Oasis007:The idea of promotion and relegation is a good idea and will add more fun to the whole thing. I support. It's just that it is a lot of work for one person to handle seamlessly. For it to work, we might need at least 3 active administrators with access to the email and password of all the accounts we use for these fantasy games. I will also suggest the following: - Let's keep the structure as they are, (The Main league, FA Cup and Carling Cup) - Carling Cup will be the promotion feeder and relegation receiver from the FA Cup, while those who performed well in the main league the previous season can join the carling cup on request. Relegate bottom 3 from both H2H and promote top 3 from Carling cup and main league. - By all means, while we make the code of the main league available for all interested, let's not make it automatic in the new season to include all previous participants. We now have like thousands participants in the main league and I doubt if hundreds among them still visit Nairaland. - To address the problem of waiting indefinitely for those who are qualified for FA and Carling Cup, we can give a grace of 2 weeks after opening of the new season thread for qualified people to request for codes after which we can give the remaining available spots to the next most qualified people that are already showing interest. We can fine tune all these to make it more fun and convenient for the handlers. My 2 Kobo ![]() |
The season comes to an early end for me. I forgot to update my team before deadline. I used the wildcard to setup my team for the final run last week, planned to use my triple cap on Harland this week and bench boost next GW... But I got too busy with real life events and forgot my fantasy... Hope I can create more time for this fantasy next season. Good luck in advance to the winners. |
pamcode:Lol, when I checked the results last Sunday, I gave up already that I lost the GW to you, because there is no way I expected Bowen with an hattrick, you have Foden vs my KDB and Ake vs my Walker. I was even angry with myself that I picked Bowen instead of Douglas Luiz, because while looking for Diogo's replacement in my team, my head went with Douglas Luiz but my mind was with Bowen, so you can imagine how I felt after Douglas Luiz' brace on Saturday not knowing Bowen will perform better and rescue my bad gameweek on Monday. |
afrodoc2:lol... I was just lucky. Imagine a keeper I didn't select cos he was facing City, came from the bench with an assist, 12 massive saves and a bonus point, despite losing to City.... the 10 points from Flekken gave me the win and I gained all these because I was lucky that Turner that I picked did not turn up. |
