you are welcome. By the way - what email server are you running?Good question. If you're running sendmail, you need to move to qmail, for the high security it provides by default. You must configure the server such that no relaying is possible for unauthorized sites. Getting out of spam lists is not trivial. You're better off just getting a new ip. Yahoo for example will call you up and ask you a very long list of questions. You'll need your mail server log for that period when the incident occured. Let us know how it goes. |
So many times I've had to butt heads with individuals on this forum, who know next to nothing about effective web design/marketing. These people often contend that a site has to be "attractive" to succeed. And by attractive, they are referring to using "flash", "heavy graphics", etc. These inexperienced web designers have no clue about SEO, or what people online are actually looking for in a website. I've always tried to educate these people about the facts, but they (you know who you are) stubbornly stick to their guns. I even furnished examples of the most successful sites on the net with basic designs, to corroborate my argument that people don't care about a site being "attractive" as long as it's fast, functional, and maintains a high uptime. Well, read the following piece, and tell me if I'm right or wrong. http://www.sitepronews.com/archives/2006/mar/27prt.html The article contains the very same examples I've been presenting to you people all along. |
Yep, you're correct. You have to challenge the other person to have a meaningful discussion. I don't believe in mushy dialogs where the participants are afraid to disagree. |
@Gridlock We're sharing knowledge. Why does that bother you so much? |
I respect your definition of Computer Networking, If your definition holds, then I would like my independent computer to seamlessy bring about desired output, which is to make me win British National Lottery. You're correct. That definition is weak at best. 1. A definition should not assume somebody already knows what is being defined. 2. A definition should not include the terms being defined. E.g., you can't use computer networking in it's own definition. 3. A definition should be succinct, but accurate. Otherwise, it becomes an explanation. The phrase desired out put doesn't tell anybody anything, because it's ambigious. |
the solutionWell, just say when. |
Sorry, you can get the software at the rate of N300-N500 at any computer store, mine is inside Mega VI , i got mine at N300That is assuming he's based in Nigeria. |
Seun, what are you afraid of? How come you always go round deleting every post that says something about you that you don't like? That is so dishonest. Be a man and accept challenges like everyone else. |
A Pentium II is dated, but should run XP just fine. RAM is cheap now ($20 for 256 MB @ http://www.pcsurplusonline.com/viewprod.cfm?ID=7118), so put at least 512MB in there. Also, get Belarc advisor from belarc.com. It'll give you detailed specs of your computer. Once you know the chipset on your motherboard, find out if you can upgrade the cpu. A cpu shouldn't cost too much, especially a P3. I found a Pentium III 733MHz here for $15 http://www.pcsurplusonline.com/viewprod.cfm?ID=5337 One last thing you can try is overclocking your current cpu, if you know about overclocking. Spyware programs can slow down your computer. So, make sure you do a clean install of XP. Install security programs like spybot, zonealarm, avg, adaware. And keep the Spybot Resident Shield running always to keep rogue programs from changing your registry settings. With a little effort, you should have a zippy system. |
@Mama Mary Genetics as a tool for constructing geneology is fascinating. Americans of European descent have done a whole lot of work in this area. You can go online and literarily dig up your ancestry from the geneology websites. Africa is still lagging behind in this area, just like all other areas. Although we have highly educated scientists in Africa, they have little access to the vast funding resources around the globe. And our government that should be funding these kinds of research projects has no clue what it's doing. Furthermore, I find Africans to be apathetic of white people, leading to an inability to pursue funding sources located outside of Africa. I met Reverend Al Sampson recently. He only just got DNA tested, and determined his ancestry to be Nigeria (Igbo) + Sierra Leone. Because most Afro Americans are Afrocentric, this could be a big area to be in for any geneticist in Africa. |
10. To make the Text look really scary, you have to make use of the colour balance effectAs it is in photoshop, the same effect can be achieved in various ways. Hue/Saturation will do the same job. Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation Put a checkmark in Colorize Slide bars to: 0, 80, +16 @LoverBwoy Download http://www.gimp.org/windows/ It's free. |
I obtained a degree in medical science, which included several advanced classes in Genetics. It was fun while it lasted. I went on for a higher degree, which automatically took me into the area of medical research. So, unless you become a genetics teacher, you almost invariably end up in research as a geneticist. You'll probably need a PhD in your field to enjoy the full benefits of the profession (5+ more years after your BSc). Most people I know in Genetics are PhD holders. You may consider BioInformatics if you like computer databases, and also enjoy Biostatistics and Molecular Biology. I know a few powerful people in America. There is interest today among Afro Americans to know their ancestry. I can introduce you to some of these people. Maybe you can serve as their contact in Africa. Basically, I see you travelling to remote African villages for DNA samples. You then build a huge database from the results of the genetic analysis. Blacks around the world can then use your database as a reference point to determine their ancestry. |
@alexis I quite agree with you about crediting you with a link. It's the least he could do. And since he has clearly shown that he's not willing to pay to get the job done, and not willing to learn php to do it himself, a link back to your website is a fair deal. He's been dragging his feet ever since he was given this option. I wonder what exactly he's looking for? |
OK I agree. But, hey, it's the most effective I know of. With another boy by her side, her message to the ex would be unequivocal. |
I don't know if you saw the topic, but she said she wants to do this "nicely". So yeah, finding a boyfriend first is not NICE.I don't know if you saw the replies. So yeah, there's no NICE way to break up. |
hunnie that is sooo wrong. You'll hurt him more. You don't have to find somebody else before you tell him u don't want him anymore. Just tell him as it is, then when you are done, u can find someone else. If you get a new man, and then break up with him, it's like you've moved on even before you broke up with him, which in my dictionary, is not such a nice thing to do.Finding someone else b4, as opposed to after breakup, tells him you're serious. And of course, he'll have the new boyfriend to contend with if he decides to play the fool. Find someone else first. |
Women are an enigma. They communicate by signals, rather than verbally. So, it's up to the ex to decode those cryptic signals, and take the appropriate action. Worse still, this kind of kooky behavior varies from woman to woman. So, only somebody who's been around a particular woman can predict her messages to any degree of accuracy. |
