![]() E be like say Shaw juju no gree work on Amorim. Baba wanna get Davies in the summer. LOL! |
![]() Fans Song for Rúben Amorim From Portugal he's here to shine, Rúben Amorim crossing the line, He's got passion, he's got the knack, Play bold with three at the back. Rúben Amorim leads the way, At Man United he's here to stay, From the Sporting he came to conquer all, With him we rise, we will never fall. With tactics sharp and vision clear, He's the Manager we hold dear, Red Devils roaring on attack, With Rúben magic never looked back. Source |
![]() I don't understand why some folks are making it seems like fans didn't stand with ETH enough, especially in his first year in charge. What fans actually want his Identity and gradual progress. The rotten is obvious hence can't be fixed in a season. ETH had his chance, promised to end an era to no avail. He succumbed to pressure, lost his ways and ran the club to wilderness. Modafucker was chasing second tiers trophies at all costs, care less how we got them. Every opportunity, he would remind us he won 2 trophies in his first 2 seasons. LOL! Amorim is a breathe of fresh air with a clear renewed hope agenda. He has rest of the season to prove he is indeed him. Maresca of Chelsea had clear philosophy hence majority of their fans are sticking with him this season regardless of result. Pep didn't win the league in his first season but his idea was clear to their fans. Flick may not win La Liga this season and their fans won't ask for his head. Kompany even though a rookie is enjoying life at Bayern cos he sticks with same philosophy that relegated Burnley back to championship. The board feel potentials in the philosophy and believe they have the tools for him to succeed with it at the club. Amorim.......show us the path and we will follow you. Ignore the path and we will abandon you. Simple. |
afrodoc2: ![]() ......má blood too dey hot, make my G - Amorim no fall my hands. I really have a feeling he is gonna succeed. |
Manchester United want to offer Joshua Zirkzee + €30M to Napoli in exchange for Victor Osimhen! The Italian club are open to negotiations for the striker. Source |
![]() Case sef see better difference. Its no longer Rondo week in week out at the training. LOL!
|
GK = Onana Deputies = Heaton/Bayindir Back 3 = Yoro - De Ligt - Licha Deputies = Evans/Lindelof - Maguire/Lindelof - Shaw/Evans RWB = Mazraoui/Dalot Deputy = Dalot LWB = Dalot/Mazraoui Deputies = Shaw/Malacia Midfield Combo = Ugarte - Mainoo Deputies = Casemiro - Eriksen RAM = Amad/Garnacho Deputy = Garnacho/Antony LAM = Bruno Deputy = Garnacho/Mount Striker = Rashford Deputies = Hujlund/Orobosa |
Congratulations to us, we finally get a proper coach. Today's drilling and training were lit. The idea, the philosophy is damn obvious. Shaw likely to play in the back 3, deputizing for Licha. Yoro gonna be a Starter definitely. Glad to see Malacia back on his feet as well as my boy - Mainoo. Even Antony looks promising today at the training. Rashford likely to be moved to 9 based on today's training while Mount would deputize Bruno. Apparently Amad gonna be a Starter with Antony as his deputy. If Rashy plays well, Hujlund and Orobosa gonna tey for bench. Link to Rúben Amorim’s first training in charge.

![]() ...let's assume the Club get a chance to bring just one of them back and they throw it to the fans to decide, who do you think deserves it?! Me......I am gonna choose Greenwood anyday anytime.
|
Nezzjnr: ![]() .....don't mind me jàre. Jez like the Eediot naturally, same way I like Greenwood. |
afrodoc2: ![]() In summary, once a virus always a virus. |
Jamiuokolaa: ![]() He is 31 hence except he accepts £100k per week a year contract with option of renewal based on performance only, I wouldn't take him back. On a low-key, I wouldn't mind him back though. |
Katcall: ![]() Don't mind the Club's management and rubbish spending. He is hired as Head Coach yet he needs his men to train Gks, players on set pieces, work on Players fitness and so on. These ain't tasks too much for a person, Dude is a joke cos he is lazy. He should be sacked asap. |
Free Agent Paul Pogba will train at Carrington like Johnny Evans did till he gets a new Club. |
![]() I admire some folks spirit of loyalty on this board sha. Really can't believe some dudes actually have hope on Nwakali. Nwakali ain't longer a kid in football, he is 26yrs old yet playing in 3rd tier league ordinarily should be meant for U17 players to honing their skills and developing their game. His mates have gone far ahead of him. He ain't apparently gonna smell Eagles' call-up again, except he finds himself in at least in the championship. It ain't crime to never give up on the lad and I genuinely respect those still have hope in him. What is so certain is; he ain't the Jigsaw we are missing in GWG at the moment! |
KNOW YOUR COACHING CREW CARLOS FERNANDES Assistant head coach Fernandes is set to be Amorim’s right-hand man, a job that he occupied at Sporting. The 29-year-old has forged a close relationship with our new head coach, having also been on his staff at previous clubs Braga and Casa Pia. JORGE VITAL First-team goalkeeper coach Prior to starting work together at Sporting in 2020, Jorge and Ruben were Braga colleagues during the latter's time as a player and coach at the club. Vital will come in to lead our men’s goalkeeping staff, working closely with assistant Mawson. ADELIO CANDIDO First-team coach (subject to visa) Like Fernandes, Candido has been on Amorim’s previous staff at Casa Pia, Braga and Sporting. The 28-year-old’s employment remains subject to receiving a visa. EMANUEL FERRO First-team coach Ferro worked at Benfica between 2006 and 2009, during which Amorim was a player at the Lisbon club. The pair reunited in the dugout at Sporting, where Emanuel spent nine years in total before coming here. PAULO BARREIRA Physical performance coach Barreira returns to the UK having previously plied his trade at Arsenal and Liverpool. He also added experience to his CV in Saudi Arabia and the UAE before linking up with Ruben at Sporting in 2020. |

Leyqute: ![]() .......no qualms bruh, but like pat said; he is gonna enjoy my full support while it lasts. |
izzou: ![]() .....normal feeling bruhhhh! Allow me enjoy my feeling while it lasts. LOL! |
afrodoc2: ![]() .....I have the feeling Amorim will succeed. I did enjoy his first interview. He is full of confidence and ain't gonna sacrifice his philosophy and tactics like ETH did. Amorim will be the coach we ever wanted to succeed Sir Alex - so I pray and hope. |
"I'm really honored to be here. It was my only choice because I think I really feel how big this club is. And then I will do everything for the team. I will defend my players if I have to, all the time, against everybody. That is a key point for me, and I will try to do everything to put this club in the place that it belongs. And I believe a lot that we are going to succeed.” - Rúben Amorim |
"You go inside Carrington, you feel it. But when you come here, it's so different. You see the trophies, you see the tragedy that we have as a club. The history. So you can understand the history, after the crash, then we were European champions. "This kind of strength, I think it is important to put in our team. When the players come here, they should make the same tour with the same guy all the time. I think this is very important to do. It is one thing that you have to feel that this is Manchester United and it's normal if you are a lot of years without winning, you start losing that. "So you have to be very clear on the message that you want to put on the players. So I think we need to put all the players doing the same thing, to regain that feeling.” - Rúben Amorim |
"I don't want to say that we need time because we are a young team. They are prepared. They are prepared to cope with the demands of playing for Manchester United. They should be because they are here. "We know it will take time and we will try to win time with the games. But we have to start since day one without fear, without thinking that they are not used to playing like this. This is not on my mind. They will start on the first day with our idea, no matter what. That's the goal.” - Rúben Amorim |
"It’s hard to say [what to expect from his first game in charge]. It's hard to say. I want to say beautiful things to you, but I'm really honest. I think you will see an idea. You could like it or not, I don't know, but you will see an idea. You will see a positioning. "You will see something that we want to reach that kind of level. You will feel that. But we have to know that it's like two trainings before the first match. This is the best league in the world. But if I have to say something to you, you will see an idea. This I can guarantee.” - Rúben Amorim |
“We know that we need time, but we have to win time. To win time is to win games. But the most important thing for me is identity. So since day one we will start with our identity. "Of course we are going to prepare the games, but we will focus a lot in our game model. How to play, how to press, these small things, small details. You cannot go 100% on every detail because it will be confusing for the players. So if I have to say one thing, my main goal, my first goal, is identity.” - Rúben Amorim |
"I was a team player [before retirement] and for me that is important. And also because I was a team player, sometimes I had to stay on the bench. So I know everything my players feel. So when I think about a team, I think about every player, about the fans, the feeling, everything is on my mind.” - Rúben Amorim |
"I'm a small part of the club. I know that the manager or head coach is so important in the club because you have in your hands the engine of the club. I understand that, but I want to be part of something. I don't want to be just in charge. So I want everybody together. It will be more fun and so much easier to reach the goals.” - Rúben Amorim |
“[what drives his footballing philosophy] In one word: team. The team is the most important thing for me. And if you work as a team, then the talent individually is going to shine. "But if I have to explain the importance of everything, it is the character, the way we fight, the way we play, and we must have an identity. If our players take the shirt, they will know that it is the Manchester United team. "Everybody thinks the same, running back, playing, enjoying. This is what drives me. I can say the popular thing, which is to win. Everybody wants to win and I want to win with my players, with the fans, but with an identity and one idea, that is the thing that I am focused on all the time.” - Rúben Amorim |
“I think it's important [very strong link between the Academy and the first team] because a lot of people now talk about the 3-4-3 and the 4-3-3 and all that stuff. "But when I think as a player or as a team-mate of Manchester United, it is not a system or formation, it's like the character of the players, the way they see the club. "So we have to focus on that before the everything of how we play, how we press. The most important thing for me at this moment is to create the principles, the identity and the character that we had in the past.” - Rúben Amorim |
"When Manchester United talked to me, Omar, they told me about their plans. It's a real honour because I was the first choice to start that path. "So it's a great responsibility. But you feel honoured and excited to be part of that. And we know that if the team plays well and wins games, everything looks so much better and the people really start to believe in the new stadium and new ideas. "So, we know that we are the engine of the football. Manchester United is the engine of the Premier League in my opinion.” - Rúben Amorim |
