I have repeated my point over and over again. Kelechi Iheanacho is one of the most lethal finishers around. What Mbappe and co. have ahead of him is more all round play. It took me time to decode it, I am willing to learn. Now I get it. I keep studying Gabriel Jesus to understand what Guardiola wants.
As for the finishing, I rate Iheanacho ahead of them but I want Nacho to work hard to add more to his game. Elampiro...... instead of derailing this Thread with your Facts and Stats, your Attention is seriously needed elsewhere. |

Joebie: I am relatively new to this thread and I called forgiveness out when I noticed something. I’m far from an Igbo person. And I’ve canvassed for every #tag except for the home based on this thread. I can easily expose him, but I respect him the same for one thing he hardly uses abusive speech. But that said if I must go back in time and pick out some of his utterances during our debate you all will be convinced beyond doubt that most of his opinions are based on misconceptions e.g that the NFF is tribaliatic. My friend while hr may not always be canvassing for his tribemen, some monikers seeing him as such is not unfounded. Having said that, he may have a valid point as regards other monikers also being tribaliatic. But it will be a hard for him to prove. The Igbos have dominated SE somewhat but we all know the caliber of those players. Most earned it. And just as some have got into the SE fold for other reasons than performance, some players from other sections of the country also have for other reasons than performance. That’s the Nigerian way. If he can get rid of those misconceptions he will be just fine, and his submissions will be taken more seriously by many. You've observed well Bro. He needs to change and fairly address issues without being too emotional when it comes to certain Players. Also he needs to widen his Scouting Network to all Nigerians not a particular Section of Nigeria. Is he a tribal Bigot.......?! No. Is he sentimental..... we are all guilty but he makes his own apparent. |

forgiveness: That is why I said people here are not interested in picking the right personal to represent the country based on merit and performance.
Dele Aiyenugba is not good to many here because of where he comes from and not based on his ability and club form.
Recently, I saw an article that suggested Austin Ejide who is currently a free agent should be brought back to the national team ahead of Aiyenugba but most of those monikers never critized that move. why?
I am seeing the signs that Austin Ejide is likely to be called back into the SE because these days the media is portraying him as one who is with a club and later as one who will soon get a club.
Did I not say Ezenwa is a pregnant cat before he was tested and found wanting before some people called forfor my head?
Why do they still prefer Ezenwa ahead of Ajiboye who just helped Pleatue United to win the NPPL this season?
Is it because he was part of the team that helped us to Russia and needed to be compensated despite poor performance lately?
Why couldn't they put that into consideration despite Awoniyi's contributions to help us qualify for the Olympics?
Why were those monikers hell bent that he must not make the team because he performed woefully prior to the Olympic?
Why is Ezenwa case different?
Now, you brought up Dele Alampasu case.
If Uzoho is a first team player at his club and Dele Alampasu is playing in division 3, what could have been the argument?
Will they maintain their stance or shift goal post?
If they say Uzoho is ahead under the condition he plays regularly in division 3 but discard Dele Alampasu under the condition that his performance against Porto fc was 2 years ago and therefore passed, under what condition do they want Iheanacho ahead of any player in the team despite his performance these past two seasons?
Why do dey suggest Ahmed Musa must be dropped for Onyekuru because he lacks game time but insist Iheanacho must make the team despite he is in the same boat? ( the fact is I also want Iheanacho in the team)
One lied Dele Alampasu loan move was a failure because he presumed he was not impressive but since I demanded cogent fact from an independent unbiased source from him, he is nowhere to be found?
People are blind to know that Ighalo, Mikel and Martins are all playing in China?
They said Martins is old but how old are they (Mikel &Ighalo)? Mikel (30) & Ighalo (28) and they will be 31 and 29 during the WC.
They said we don't need old players because we are building a team for 2022 WC.
How old will Mikel and Ighalo be in 2022?
Don't they know Mikel and Ighalo will be 35 and 33 years of age prior to that 2022 WC?
Will they maintain their stances against Mikel and Ighalo from joint the team due to old age?
Oh! Mikel and Ighalo are better than Obafemi Martin because Mikel played at the highest level and he is more talented than Martins?
How many leagues and FA cup has Martins won without playing part in them and without man of the match performance which went unnoticed by FIFA?
Do they know this 'useless' Martins was nominated for FIFA award?
Has Mikel Obi been acknowledged or recognised with such FIFA nomination?
Critical analyses devoid of emotives and sentiments should be the acceptable norms when analysing football and other issues. Dear Brother...... I'm hereby seeking for your Forgiveness for those who have accused you of being a Bigot on this noble Thread. This Thread is too good to be derailed or/and discarded. whizola: The interesting part of this Nigeria vs Croatia match is that the Nigeria strength is the Croatia weakness, they aren't a counterattacking team with the added advantage that they lack attacking depth , this where Nigeria excels. The Nigeria vs Iceland we have a resemblance with the Zambia match in uyo, both sides are disclipined at the back I see just a goal differences, the Argentina match will end in a draw, i see Nigeria getting the lead and Argentina getting back in the die minute of the game with a penalty. Certitude: Obviously, you and this guy have an agenda. Wanting to make it look like a tribal stuff and it is sickening. Lot of individuals on this thread has stated that barring any injury, Musa is certain to make Russia. Sincerely, I feel they have all been nice with their comment... Because if na me, Flop or no Flop, Kayode, and all the Dele you listed and Martins ain't making the final least. Whether they belong to one group is non of my business. I also Remembered how sir TheGoodJoe advocated for Alampasu to start ahead of Akpeyi. I had towed that line of thought to but let's stop acting like he wasn't given a chance. Na for friendly too we see Uzoho. Too quick to judge a Person is becoming a Tradition for some of you. I wouldn't reply you more than that, I'm ain't ready to prove my Innocence. See..... CityJoe: They have made their opinions which from my research, seems balanced. If you disagree, you can research your opinion and counter the points. Not just say it is sentiments.
Based on speed, I did my research. Ndidi and Onazi, seem faster than Modric and Rakitic. However, Kovacic is faster than both of our players. Mikel Obi is limited with respect to speed, which makes me tilt towards the Croatians. However, when you consider the pace of the likes of Simon Moses, Victor Moses, Nwakaeme, Iwobi to some extent and Iheanacho. We can cause them problems with repeated counterattacks.
So I feel the analysis is balanced.
That's good. Can you share your Research here pls, let others learn from it bro. I think we should try to analyze the Croatia Team, compare their present Players with ours, then we can come out with valid Points. Let's start the comparison from the Goalkeeping Department, to the Defenders, Midfielders and finally Strikers. Let's everyone learns what we are up against, and what we should be expecting from the Croats in Russia. |

CityJoe: I do not remember people saying the midfield of the Super Eagles is better than that of the Croatians. What I saw pointed out was that there are weaknesses in the midfield we can exploit. For instance, they do not have a natural defensive midfielder and also Rakitic and Modric are limited in speed. Which means our counterattacks can cause them problems.
I think this is a fair and balanced analysis. Not blind patriotism. The emboldened...... are they factual and provable based on verifiable Stats?! |

mazimee: The way some of us take this issue of "who is called/who is kept" in the team very personal like our opinion here would influence who Rohr keeps in his team baffles me .
He is not even a Nigerian to begin with, there is no way he will select his players from ethnic prism. This super Eagles that is giving us small joy, you guys are hell bent on spoiling it with What has spoiled every other system in this country. Nice Observation Bro. We get too emotional when certain Names are mentioned. We ain't part of the Board and can't influence the Decisions of the Technical Crew, hence I see no Reason we should be attacking each other. We ought to be catching Funs here, also getting to know more about the Nigerian' Players plying their Trades locally or outside the County, but gradually some Dudes are toeing the Path you fear most. We can't always be on the same Page, if I reel out Names you do not fancy or like, don't condemn it rather ask Questions, perhaps you might be convinced and learned one or two new things. forgiveness: When Solanke and Tiago Ilori were playing with e U23, many monikers here crucified them without trying to know or accept the reasons but now that Iheanacho is playing with the U21 suddenly their thinking faculty started functioning. Why?
Should I throway reasoning and go the tribal way by calling people here IPOB agent because I suppose majority of those monikers are IGBOs eventhough I know who dey are?
Should I start mocking Iheanacho the way people mocked players that are not from their village and start wishing them ill luck?
Should i start insinuating that some people wants to fill the national team with their tribes men regardless of were these players play and how they performan because they are quick to set standards and relax standards to accommodate their tribes men into the national team?
Because I still remembered one of those monikers told me Tiago Ilori was not good enough despite playing currently then in Ligue 1 but suddenly made a uturn when a player started playing there?
Can dey not see that majority of predictions and analysis has come to pass?
Didn't I say Solanke is a better player than Iheancho when he was loaned out to Vitesee
Was I not the one that called him a tap in merchant?
Did I not give my reasons when I said if he goes to Vitesee or another he will find it hard to score?
Is that not what is happening now?
Has Solanke not gone ahead of him recently to win individual laurel that led him to Liverpool?
Did I not say the same about Kayode when one told me he is not good enough?
Did I not predict that Kayode is ahead of Onyekuru when many here mocked me and asked me why is big clubs struggling to buy Kayode if he is good enough after Everton bought Onyekuru?
What happened next?
Who is in a better club now?
Time will not permit to say how I analysed that Dele Ali is better than all players in our national team, including Nacho and Iwobi. That was even when Dele Ali was nobody in the EPL. But what did I get in return?
Did it not happened as I said?
Now, I have said about Lookman and Onomah but they said Onomah is a camouflage that I am a Oduduwa Agent and Igbo (God bless) hater for doing what God has given me to do.
If they can't believe me as a person, they should for once consider all my prediction and analyses then I believe they can see I say things the way I study them.
Now, Lookman has just shown tips of what he can do. Believe me he is another next thing after Dele Ali.
I am no God but I have the spirit of God and fear God else I would not have taken lightly those who falsely accuses me of tribal hates and tribalism when all I have said dey glaringly for day light, but I am humble because I know it is by his grace to know and reveal all I have predicted and analysed.
People should purge their heart of ethnic hatred and jealousy because I perceived many walk with this evil spirit. Thank you all Seem some Dudes have Problem with the Name "Dele"...... Lol. I remembered when TheGoodJoe was asking for Alampasu to be the first Choice Goalie based on the convincing Training Sessions' Reports, some Dudes claimed he's inexperienced and too young. They are quick to forget he was a former Winner of an U17 Golden Glove, the same Competition that brought Iheanacho into Limelight. But now..... Uzoho ain't too young or inexperienced to man the Posts for the Super Eagles in Russia. Dele Aiyenugba is far better than Akpeyi, more exposed and experienced than him, but once his Name "Dele" is mentioned, nah..... he's a Flop, he had got his Chances but failed. In the local League - NPFL - Ajiboye is far better than Ezenwa, a very good, talented Goalkeeper brimming with Confidence, but he also gets "Dele" in his Name, hence only a very few care for his Call up and Trial. You've really got a thick Skin Bro. Coz you've withered many Storms here alone..... Lol! Enyeama should be recalled, but Martins is too old for a Recall. Someone even claimed Ighalo is performing better than him in the Chinese League. I laughed at a Post that condemned Martins of only good with one Leg and ain't good in the Air like Ighalo. Had Mikel and Ighalo ain't plying their respective Trades in the Chinese League, they would have gone "berserk" on his professional Careers. When Kayode didn't make the Bench, you were called out to mock, thanks to Tbaba1234 that eventually posted a cogent Reason for his Exclusion. However when Iheanacho also didn't make the Bench..... Alas! It's tagged Politics and Racism. Ahmed Musa was demoted to the U23, some are already considering he should be dropped from the List coz he has lost it. Iheanacho is dropped, the Tone changes to; at least he won't be match rusty coz he would be playing and it's good for him. What will you call it bro?! Lol. I rest my Fingers. |

afrodoc2: Ozil is someone you fear when he plays against your team cos he can hurt you at any time with his gift of the final pass and vision. On the other hand when he is on your team you can easily get frustrated with him because of his inconsistent work rate and his tendency to disappear in games Mkhi style. ....... that's why I hope United can get him for free. Ozil is definitely gonna be an Upgrade on Mkhtaryan. To be candid, I'm kinda running out of Pastience for Mkhtaryan, coz it seems he won't ever be consistent for a whole Season. Mkhtaryan ought to be the one playing behind Lukaku, Martial/Rashford instead of Lingard, coz he gets the Pace and the Skills to thrive in the Position. The guys who started the argument against us simply created two extremes. They think themselves to be Lukaku lovers and us as Lukaku haters.
Why can't they understand the fact that we saw something and said it sincerely. It doesn't make us Arsenal fans or City fans or Chelsea fans. Sometimes I do wonder if the List gonna be made by Dudes on this Thread. I am convinced that Rohr knows he must deliver, or else his Head gonna end up on a Spike.
Just a Loss to the South Africans in an AFCON qualifying Match , he almost got grilled and barbecued, even on this Thread.
Except, he's toiling with his Job, he's certain to invite Players that he hopes gonna deliver and play to his Instructions and Tactics.
NFF, with the backing of Aiteo and the FG, are ready to pamper and support him financially for the Mundial, thus Failure is the last thing he wouldn't do his Best to avoid.
It's more important to discuss Nigeria Chances at the WC, than the unending Martins Ish. I've been expecting Dudes to start reeling out Stats of our Group Opponents, scouting their Players and updating us with Reports instead of fighting an E-Civil War.
