“The second half should have been five or six-nil and it was even easier to score goals in the second half than in the first but we missed these chances and this is football. "Out of nothing, penalty and 3-1 and then the game is a different one. But it’s a match to win comfortably and in the end at 3-2 the game is in a grey zone and Jesse [Lingard] had that fantastic initiative and killed the game.” - JOSE MOURINHO |
“We should have scored seven. We were very dangerous for 90 minutes, I think, and we had a chance to score in the first half and kill the game and we had also a chance at 3-0 to control the game because 3-0 is more than enough to win but we lost concentration and gave them life. "We gave them life with the first goal and then we were a couple of minutes with normal fear and pressure of losing the points.” - JOSE MOURINHO |

The State Government of Osun has restated its earlier stance that it is not paying half salary to the generality of its workers as some mischief makers and naysayers are trying to portray. In a statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Adelani Baderinwa, the Osun state government said, “For the purpose of emphasis, explanation and clarification, workers in the state of Osun are paid based on modulated salary structure agreed upon by the government and the labour unions in the state.” The statement fully read thus: “The government wishes to state that contrary to the report by a national daily on Tuesday, it does not owe any workers, if the modulated salary structure agreement is anything to go by. We have been saying it loud and clear and we will not be tired of saying it until the mischief makers succumb to fact and reality; it is only a section of workers on grade level 13 and above that receives painfully 50 per cent of their salaries based on agreement between the government and the labour unions. Outside that category of workers on grade level 13 and above, no other receives half of his or her salaries and the workers in this category are just about 20 per cent of the state’s workforce. Workers on levels 8-12 receive 75 percent of their salaries while officers on levels 7 and below receive their full pay. All workers in the state have received their salaries up to October this year. As we pay active workers, so we pay pensioners. The only outstanding payment to pensioners is the gratuity and this is due to workers who choose not to participate in the Contributory Pension Scheme and therefore left service in 2011/2012. We recall that workers on levels 8 and above received the July and August arrears when the government paid in July this after receiving the second tranche of the Paris Club Loan Refund. We wish to state that the modulated salary was arrived upon as the best option the government could take in the interest of the workers due to the PDP induced economic recession that crippled the state finances. We consider at as a deliberate attempt to malign the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola for a national newspaper which has the clear fact about the salary structure of the state at hand to accuse the state government of Osun of paying half salary.” Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/11/were-not-paying-half-salary-osun-govt/ Lalasticlala, Mynd44..... kindly do the needful to enlighten the Masses. |

RUMOR MILL Jose Mourinho is targeting four left-footed players in the transfer window to balance Manchester United’s attack, according to the Manchester Evening News reports. Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, injured Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale and Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil are said to be on the £200m shortlist. |
"Against Watford [last season], I was very upset with their first goal after someone put Martial in the hospital and the referee let it go. That is the reason why I was very upset. "I think Watford have made progress. I think they have a squad full of very good players, that are not normal to be a mid-table team. They have a good coach and they improved a lot from last season." - JOSE MOURINHO |
"It was difficult for Pobga and [Nemanja] Matic to press. Marcus [Rashford] and [Anthony] Martial, [are] without the tactical knowledge that another player has to close the spaces in between the full-back and winger so, even with Paul, we were a little bit in trouble." - JOSE MOURINHO |
I think it's easier to identify United major Problem which is Laziness. The Players are too lazy to make quick and accurate Passes, too lazy on and off the Ball, finally too lazy to create chances through the Middle in the Final Third. United need a Player(s) who can confidently attack from the Middle, coz it's getting obvious United style of Play can't break a defensive- minded Team. Also we need Players on the right Wing who can take on Player(s) successful, coz its apparent Rashford, Lingard or Mata ain't the right Person for the Job. I don't care how much JM would spend to fix the Team, after all PSG paid an Amount that can buy a whole Team like Arsenal to get Neymar, yet World didn't end. United need Players like - Dybala on the Right Wing, Griezmann behind Lukaku or probably Ozil.... to play in the Hole. I hope JM gets it right in the Summer, coz I do not trust January Transfers Window. |
elrony: ![]() JM still experimenting Options to balance the Team Play. He's gonna get the right Option, probably in the next Game. Chill Bro! |
"In the Champions League, we played some of the best football away from home in the first half and could have been 6-0 but it was 0-0. "I am not happy with that but today we scored one and one goal was enough for the three points because in the end we speak about what we want but the points is the most important." - JOSE MOURINHO |
“We had amazing chances a couple of days ago and we couldn’t score, today we did it. Congratulations to them for their performance, congratulations to my boys. "My boys, they didn’t play well but they gave everything. The boys, they don’t deserve bad words from me.” - JOSE MOURINHO |
“I could expect us to concede a goal. I could expect us to have more football, more chances and more goals but we didn't and, when we saw that and we found ourselves winning 1-0, it was a moment to try to give balance but it is hard for me to be on the bench and I don't know when Pogba needs to be changed. "I want to play Fellaini earlier, with Pogba but I don't know if Pogba is happy to be on the pitch on the fatigue line or if the fatigue reached the line. It is hard for me to be on the bench with this.” - JOSE MOURINHO |
“I wouldn’t be surprised if, today, some of the pundits say we play with too many attackers, but, if they say that, I think they are right. Sometimes you play with too many attacking players and you lose control of the game. "We had a few problems defensively because [Nemanja] Matic and [Paul] Pogba were a bit isolated in the centre of the park and, if you compensate that with more creation, that's a good risk. And, against Newcastle, it was good because we were not solid defensively but we were really strong in creation. Today, our creation was poor. "The three players that played with Lukaku did not get the ball, we weren’t successful on the one against one. Marcus [Rashford] did not have a happy match at all. So we did not have that creation and could expect some defensive problems against a good team on the counter attack.” - JOSE MOURINHO |
“I think they [Brighton] played really well. We didn't play well. The good thing for me was the intensity got higher in the second half in search of the goal and then, after the goal, we couldn’t kill the game and, in the last 10-15 minutes, I saw a team with everyone trying to play for the clean sheet and to give everything. "But I have to praise a team and a manager that, a few months ago, were playing in the Championship and, today, they come to Old Trafford and they were the team until now who caused us the most problems.” - JOSE MOURINHO |
"Michael, as a person, is more important than Michael as a player. We gave him the time to relax, to recover, to feel confident, to make the decision [when he] wants to play, [when he] wants to stop. "He knows that my coaching staff has the chair for him if he wants. When he wants the chair, it is there in the office for him. I want that, the board wants that and the owner wants that. So Michael is in a comfortable situation. His future will be with us. "But he wants to be a player until the end of the season and now he feels confident to be back and now he is training back with us. So [he is] one more option for us, we need players and Michael wants to play so I am happy with that." - JOSE MOURINHO |
"I want to be honest and give them what they deserve, for me probably they deserve more than the result they got. "They played really well, they had a good defensive organisation and then when they had the ball they were dangerous. Honestly, I think Brighton was very, very good." - JOSE MOURINHO |
chrisley024:I think 3 - 5 - 2 won't be a bad Formation. |
