Hmmmnn, only death can stop Tinubu and he will not die before his time by God's grace. He is miles ahead of all Naija politicians.

I hope the tax reform will be well-implemented, improve the economy and do better in the area of security.

.....Who is gonna win him?! A former Governor that paid Firefighters ₦10/₦20 per month, throughout his 2 terms, as hazards allowance?! Or the new Leader of Collision of Confusionists?! LOL!

.....Today, we have 23 governors and are still counting. We postponed the congress until December to accommodate more members who are coming. It's not a bad idea to abandon the sinking ship and be absent from the coalition of confusion.

RESOLUTION ADOPTED AT THE END OF THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (NEC) OF LABOUR PARTY HELD ON MONDAY 21st JULY 2025 AT THE NATIONAL SECRETARIAT UTAKO, ABUJA AT 02:00 PM.
The NEC Meeting was attended by members of the National Working Committee, National officers of the party, Sen. Datti Baba-Ahmed, Vice Presidential candidate of the 2023 General Election, State Chairmen, and Stakeholders of the party and other co-opted members of the National Executive Council as provided by Article 13 (A) of the Party Constitution.
At the end of the meeting, the following resolutions were approved and adopted;
1. The NEC in session after reviewing the purported NEC meeting held in Transcorp on Friday, the 18th of July 2025, condemned the conveners of the meetings and thereafter disassociate itself from the outcome of the so-called NEC meeting where they renamed their illegal Caretaker Committee set up in Umuahia last year as Interim National Working Committee.
2. NEC notes that no matter how illegality is decorated it can not be legal. Renaming the Caretaker Committee, Interim NWC does not remove its illegality.
3. This sitting contravenes the Party’s Constitution. Article 14 (4) (B) gives powers to call meetings only to the National Secretary with the approval of National Chairman. The meeting also contravenes the provisions of Section 82 (1) (2) (a) of the Electoral Act 2022 which provides as follows:
82 (1) Every registered political party shall give the Commission at least 21 days’ notice of any Convention, Congress, Conference or meeting convened for the purpose of ‘’merger’’ and electing members of its executive committees, other governing bodies, or nominating candidates for any of the elective offices specified under this Act. Such notice must be given by the National Chairman and Secretary of the Party.
(2) The Commission may, with or without prior notice to the political party attend and observe any convention, congress, conference or meeting which is convened by a political party for the purpose of (a) electing members of its executive committees or other governing bodies
4. NEC in session consequently disassociating itself from the meeting and its outcomes.
5. NEC in session notes that there is no vacuum in the leadership of the Party. The Party has conducted its National Convention in line with the party Constitution, the Electoral Act and Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 27th March, 2024 at Nnewi Anambra State which has been validated by the Supreme Court in its Judgment of the 4th April 2025.
Consequently, NEC in session therefore calls on the Honourable Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu to comply with the Supreme Court Judgment, all the legal and other opinions before him.
On the basis of the foregoing, therefore, NEC in session hereby call on all teeming members, supporters, and members of the general public to kindly disregard the so-called meeting and its outcome.
6. NEC in session hereby reimpose confidence in the leadership of Barr. Julius Abure led National Working Committee and urge all Party members to continue to respect the leadership of the party and obey its lawful directives.
7. NEC in session also approved the conduct of State, Local Government, and Ward Congress as may be scheduled by the National Working Committee in line with the party’s Constitution and other Extant laws.
8. NEC in session reiterates that Labour Party will not be part of any coalition for the 2027 general election. NEC believes that the coalition of 2023 is bigger than any other coalition. we will therefore rebuild, reconcile, and consolidate the gains of the 2023 general election. Labour Party is distinct in terms of its ideology, programs, philosophy, and manifestos, which has the answers to the socio-economic challenges in Nigeria. We can therefore not be tempted by joining any politically spent forces that have hitherto, squandered the resources and opportunity of the Nation.
9. NEC in session commends Sen. Datti Baba-Ahmed for identifying with the leadership and declaring his interest for the 2027 general election.

Make I drop this one. True life story.

It was in August 2023. My institution was on vacation and I was in Lagos. On that fateful day, around 5pm, I was driving and was stuck in traffic on Ikorodu road.

A young guy selling gala approached at my driver's side, and gesticulated to me to buy. I shook my head and waved my hand indicating I wasn't interested. This guy no leave, instead he tapped on my windscreen and gesticulated for me to wind down the glass. I became annoyed, and in my mind was like, "wetin na, na by force to buy?" So I wound down with the intention to halla for him.

He spoke before I could utter a word, and what he said made me freeze, and deflated my anger and annoyance completely.

He said;

"Sorry sir, I just wanted to greet you. You're my lecturer at XYZ university. You thought me ABC 101 and EFG 111 last session".

With shock on my face, I said "Wow! Which department and what are you doing here"?

He replied; "Anatomy sir. I'm hustling to raise money to pay my school fees, and go back to school on resumption"

Me: You came a long way o. I never imagined to meet any of my students like this. Well done.

The traffic was about to move so I picked my phone. and told him to drop his digits promising to message him later that night

So when I got home, I called him and requested for his aza, and when he sent it, I transferred 10k to him.

To put things in perspective. I live and work in the farthest state in the South east, and this encounter was in LAGOS.

The encounter completely changed my perspective and mindset about the students. It opened my eyes, and made me see their suffering, hustling and what they go through to be in school.

As per our local market here, encounters plenty so make I no go that side.

If one student could cross states to hawk gala in Lagos just to return to school in the East, then there are thousands more like him with stomachs rumbling but hanging on by grit and hope.

That’s why I rate NELFUND and would always commend PBAT for it. It’s not politics but helping the poor, and this kind of help will enable families re-apportion resources and also make a difference in their lives.

Oasis, you're welcome.
.....thank you for your honesty and the story. It seems you ain't aware of CREDICORP yet?! Civil Servants will soon be enjoying it.

Let me add that, Naira is now stable. BDC Operators ain't definitely happy with PBAT Administration and Policies.

Removal of subsidy has helped the economy growing as well. States are getting huge FAAC, hence main reason none of them ever comes out tk criticise the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so far so good.

I don't wanna make mouth, but next year gonna be raining honey in Nigeria. The storm is almost over.
