The main reason why Betta Edu’s own was exposed is that she didn’t “carry along” her ministry’s Directors and Perm Sec in her malfeasance. There is no way her stuff would be leaked if she acted as a proper Naija politician

If this was actually the case there would have been
several reports of this anomaly in the media.

Different govt officlals would have been called out for this same issue.

Private organizations regularly warn customers against using personal accounts of their employees, but the govt is different?

Paying official project funds into personal accounts is deliberate obsfucation of paper trails

It is what corrupt govt officials do when they say we should pay them the fine directly

There is no difference between Madam Betta Edu and your corrupt task force on lagos roads

Maybe her defender can explain how the plane ticket was billed, seeing as kogi does not have an airport

And as madam Edu works out of Abuja. I would have thought they would drive to kogi in a convoy, but what do I know?

Exactly why I've always insisted for long only ignorant people take the faux outrage and sanctimonious stances of these self-styled Twitter activists and good governance advocates seriously.

They are mostly in bed with their respective misgoverning state governments. I stated it yesterday, again. They don't give a tuppence about you, or the corruption, or those behind Mohbad's death... You are nothing more than higher engagement enablement and visibility to be cashed at the bank of opinion-shaping and talking points.

The real activists never position themselves to be activists, tag themselves as such, and try to shape and make every topical issue be about them. Large-sized neon 'Ls' for those who believed they were real.

Nigerian Governors are hypocritical thieves, in varying degrees. Like Buhari, Tinubu hasn't failed to pay FAAC so far.

Why should we be scrutinising Tinubu's 7 months in office but not holding the (newly-elected) Governors to the same standards? What have Fubara, Umo Eno, Sheriff, and other Niger-Delta Governors done in these 7 months too given the relatively large amounts they collect?

Those from this geopolitical area are coincidentally the most visible critics of Tinubu on this thread but I have never seen them hold their respective state governors to the same standard. It's the same for most of the citizenry - mostly depicting governors as powerless.
Can we start dissecting state government expenditures like we do to the FG too?

I do that but would increase the frequency. Let's do more. Our Governors are accusatory thieves.

After spending few weeks in Nigeria, I came to a conclusion.
Even if they put Peter Obi in all 36 states… that country can’t develop in another 100years.
Life is hard in naija abeg…. airport staff want bribe, police want bribe… Bad roads choke in a whole Lagos, Keke, bike and danfo na just nuisance.

The problem is not even just the government but the people as well.

I hope it gets better 🤦🏽‍♂️

I'm quite new on twitter and sometimes I view people's profile and see 100s of thousands of followers and I wonder how they do it. Meanwhile, I'm struggling with 40 in one year.

You wonder why Governors can dissolve LG councils, pocket security votes with the backing of the court, while blaming only the FG for even roles they were elected to play - the citizenry empower the Governors to be so reckless and unaccountable.
