I do get what you're saying. I get the point. Batists are trying to say, no matter what, our empathy must shine through at all times (which is ironical here, seeing as that empathy seems to end when it comes to different groups, women and lgbtq people). But then that point does fall apart when you examine the values of the people who are crying out for help.

For God's sake, we've been pointing out for months how this party has sunk 100 million nigerians into abject poverty, few weeks ago, you yourself pointed out how suicide rates were indeed on the rise in the country, what were their responses to that? Isn't it the usual trope of how "you love to spread bad news"?

If these people are soo casual in dismissing the plights of the suffering of others because of politics, how then are we expected to truly feel sorry for them when what we spent moths warning against is now actually manifesting towards them?
