izzou: How would he cut down inflation on foodstuffs without subsidising it?
I bought/leased a land I bought my seedlings I troughed and planted my crops I watered it for months I provided my own security for my foodstuffs I arranged my own transportation to the market
I did everything
So unless Tinubu is coming to subsidise it, how exactly is he going to stop me from fixing my price, when i did everything for myself?
....how much was a bag of rice before Baba Oyoyo shutdown borders?
Cut down inflation between today and then should be fun to achieve
......make I quote you directly sef....LOL! Nothing is impossible bro. If he opens Borders and rice and other foodstuffs find there ways to Nigeria again, its gonna beat down Inflation.
A001: I don't expect you to understand. Lols. Those that engage in space research and complex systems would understand why I mentioned Otem specifically when I made that initial post, and not any other nler.
Ẹ̀gbọ́n mi, this fuel wàhálà don dey favour you and your family? E be like say you no dey feel am at all big bro.
izzou: With the way Nigeria is today, it is more profitable to import than produce.
500 naira ended with Buhari. It is almost impossible to go back to that place
.....hmmm. You're right to be honest. I set 100days in Office target for PBAT to get it right, I hope he renews my confidence in his abilities by getting it right and helps every Nigerian breathes.
Minimum wage should be increased asap to ₦100k per month. Borders should be opened for goods from ECOWAS Members, especially Benin Republic to cut down Inflation on foodstuffs!
PBAT should please get it right soon, LLNP can't wait to cook me. Its funny he is fervently praying for PBAT to fail, so he can cook his Supporters on this board.
izzou: I don't even understand your point sef.
I supported the removal, but with obviously nothing done to cushion the effect, rather we are seeing 110 billion naira pallative for less than 500 people is senseless.
If the dollar gets 1000 naira next week, NNPCL must increase the price of fuel. So, what is really the benefit of a common man in all these?
You are actually explaining in the wrong place. Maybe you should go to the market or a public bus and tell them to choose their priorities
....my major fear bro. I hope something is done asap to help that weak currency called Naira to appreciate to at least a dollar for ₦500.
...PBAT!!! Let your supporters breathe, don't suffocate us! Roll out palliatives that would cushion the effects of subsidy removal wàhálà and no to ₦8k!

(2) A candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected where, there being more than two candidates for the election-
(a) he has the highest number of votes cast at the election;
and
(b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
What is not clear here? ".....and FCT [plus FCT]", not".....all the States of Federation, and FCT", [i.e FCT is independent due to comma, hence its mandatory to get 25% separately there as well].
Read again, slowly and carefully to understand the provision, una Lawyers don scam una well well.....LMFAO!
Section 299 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The provisions of this Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation; and accordingly -
(a) all the legislative powers, the executive powers and the judicial powers vested in the House of Assembly, the Governor of a State and in the courts of a State shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the courts which by virtue of the foregoing provisions are courts established for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja;
(b) all the powers referred to in paragraph (a) of this section shall be exercised in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution; and
(c) the provisions of this Constitution pertaining to the matters aforesaid shall be read with such modifications and adaptations as may be reasonably necessary to bring them into conformity with the provisions of this section.
Spy360: The constitution did not say if you won just FCT you have won the election. It says to be declared winner, the candidate has to secure 25% votes in 24 states and also 25% in the FCT. That's the literal interpretation of the constitution.
Your argument is that FCT is not important as it cannot be given a higher status than other states. This premise is on the idea that all votes are equal and equivalent.
My argument is premised on the idea that all votes are equal but not equivalent. How? The requirement for spread. If all votes are equivalent then there would be no need for spread. A simple majority should suffice. 25% in Bayelsa for example is less than 100k votes whereas 25% in Kano is over 1million votes. Hence 100k in Bayelsa ~ 1m in Kano.
The same principle applies to 25% in FCT. It is equivalent to 25% in 24 states following the same logic. That's what I see it means. I didn't put it there, I am just interpreting what's there.
If we want to remove the 25% clause in FCT to win an election, we should equally remove the 25% in 24 states.
Which constitution pls? Can you help with section(s)?!
