Yes he may not be as good as I think, nothing is impossible. But he remains my first choice coz certainly not as worse as rest major contestants.

Everyone of them wants Subsidy gone. Are we really ready for it? Izzou just complained of Fuel being sold at 300 naira per Litre now.

I believe we'll pay more if subsidy is removed completely.

I actually supported them and was hoping the Merger would work.

Buhari avoided debates. Osibanjo was excellent.
Today, Nigeria is clutching at straws, and PYO is still VP

BAT is avoiding debates. Shettima is thrilling us with promises an end to insecurity in 6 months

Well, make i no talk much. The people that voted massively for Buhari are buying fuel for 300 per litre. At least, my own na 200 per liter.

God go continue to dey show some of us mercy.

Na my prayer be that
You have solid points and I am not engaging you to dispute it. I am simply wanna be a Realist this time around based on past experiences.

Debate is to massage the ego of elites that are likely not going to vote or have made up their minds

A former president of America said I can shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any vote.

That's the home of democracy
.... Essence of Debate is convincing Voter, Masses while you deserve the shot. Kola triumphs over the rest technically. I guess that has won Agbadorians, Mikano Boys and Obidense to his Camp?!

Question are you interested in winning election or debate?

If you are interested in winning election then you should be reaching out to the voters abi?

Let me interest you in some stats that might not be 100% correct

How many of Nigerian voting population speak and understand the type of English spoken tonight

How many of the Nigerian voting population understand deep policy proclamations made today

How many of the real voters have electricity and access to Arise TV

How many of those voters are even undecided and open minded to ideas being shared

Basically the only person's that would make a decision based on tonight's debate is
an undecided voter
who understand educated English not just pidgin,
who has electricity either by NEPA or generator.
Who was watching TV tonight and not doing other things
Who was watching Arise TV in particular
And fully understand policies being discussed

I can tell you the number of such people fit no reach 2000 in the entire population

That's an insignificant number to the total voting number
..... Reality bro. That's the Reality if we are to be sincere with ourselves.

BAT is better than everybody, yet he cannot come on a platform and annihilate his opponents to the educated ones like us?

Lol

You and I are educated, and to be honest, there are points we shouldn't even be defending.

Its surprising when i see defences like these sha
Brother.... this is not defence rather Reality from logical point of view. I personally want him attending debates, but seems he's more concerned widening his coverage than spending time on Air addressing Nigerians that probably won't even turn up at the poll.

I will be glad to at least have Shettima representing him. I will be more glad if he attends at least Channels Debate personally.

I am just stating a fact. You cannot hold a state governor responsible for something the FG should be in charge of.

Of course everyone knows where you stand as far as this thread is concerned. That's why I am imploring him to quit being too emotional.

Why should Shettima attend on BAT's behalf?

..... because they both own the Ticket. BAT is busy touring rounds and resolidifying his Structures in the North.

You and I know Debates don't win Election in Nigeria. If it does, Ademola Adeleke would come distant 4th in Osun Gubernatorial Poll.

Permutations, Alignments win Election in this Country. How many Nigerians have access to cable TV? How many Nigerians saw this Evening Debate?

Ask Mama Alata at Grocery yard near you what happened on AriseTV tomorrow, and you ain't gonna get any Answer.

I bet even young Ladies that have access to Cable TV were possibly seeing series on Zeeworld.

Young men? Probably watching a Replay, playing PS or possibly flexing at Clubs at that time of Debate.

In short, Debate has zero value on Electorates in Nigeria.

DonJ is taking it too far. It's easier said than done. Nigeria is too complex to fix in four/eight years.... that's a fact.

We ain't Kids anymore and we have listened to many electoral promises that end in Sewage. None of major Contestants is a Saint or so certain to fix the Country with perhaps magic wand.

We are simply all gambling with our respective choices. If I do not support your Candidate, it doesn't mean I hate him or do not want a progressive Nigeria.

If I critique your Candidate, it doesn't mean I am trying to demarket him. Don J should quit being too emotional coz the Election will come and go as usual and this Board would remain.

I expect Shettima to attend next TV Debate on any Channel henceforth. Also I'll be glad to see the major 4 attend at least one together - to be organised by all major TV Stations possibly (Mother of all Debates).

WTF is “he doesn’t want to attend one debate and shun the rest”? I mean, it’s totally understandable that a candidate may not be able to attend one or two debates. But to shun ALL debates, regardless of your schedule, is downright disrespectful
To be fair, it's unacceptable to every Nigerian. They need to sit down and come up with something reasonable not that gibberish.

Shettima should at least stand in for him, as Osibanjo did for PMB.
