Bombblacks: I don't really understand. What difference does that make. If i was to die today is it not my current physical state my soul will take to the paradise or does the soul have a different appearance from our physical bodies? Lastly what will a soul need mansions and virgins for? Please i will really love to be enlightened
....do you believe in angels? holy spirit?! Do you believe they exist?! If yes, in what form. If no, why?!
1) Will the babies grow in paradise to adult age or they will remain as babies forever. Take note we are talking about at least 500million babies and young children give or take.
2) Will there be supermarket to shop for baby things in paradise or how exactly does it work.
3) Babies that their parent didn't make the cut to paradise which mansion will they reside?
4) What happens to those with 5 to 6 wives? One manison or multiple mansions in paradise.
5) Can those in paradise visit their family members in hell who for one reason or the other couldn't make it.
Am just really curious how the paradise/heaven thing is?
.....let me do ayọnusọ, Body and Soul ain't the same. Body is just like SPV for soul in this world. When a person dies, what's taken is the soul hence the waste [body] remains to be disposed - buried or cremated.
islamics: Alhamdulillah you made some clarification but I for want engage you more even with the Hadith Qudsi you mentioned but me go leave am here as it is all about clarifying stuff and great that you would not want to go into the story part. I knew how I search a library just to read that story.
.....have you read Story of Karbala?! If no, try to read it.
TrebleChamp: I also saw one that read " If Adam and Eve were the only human in the beginning and had two sons, where Cain see wife? This story no clear". The fact that we cannot fully understand God is a reason i don't engage in religious argument..
......Adam and Eve had two sons and two daughters. Allah [SWT] ordained that Adam (as] should marry his daughters to his sons [Haabeel and Qaabeel - Abel and Cain]. He would marry the female from one pregnancy to the male from another pregnancy.
“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women” [al-Nisa’ 4:1].
afrodoc2: Abu Bakr was about 50yrs old at the time of the Hijra but you claimed his eldest daughter was 40yrs just to move the age of Aisha up to 30 yrs.
😀😀😀
Ustaz! Ustaz!! Ustaz!!!
We all know what we are doing.
.....let's leave the age matter, its being established Aisha was in her teen [early 20], that's all matter; by recent scholars with technical authority.
TrebleChamp: So how would Jesus have died for Christians and resurrected after 3 day if Judas or any other person didn't play their part? As a Muslim i believe Jesus is a prophet sent by Allah to preach Allah's message and he was never crucified. But Christian believe he is their lord and personal saviour who came to die and pay for their sins, so how would this have happened without the role of Judas or anyone else?
.....let me first clarify that, I respect Christians on this board and I am not arguing to comdemn their belief because Allah said in the Qur'an "For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
Having said that, as a Muslim I do not believe Jesus is cruxified cos Qur'an has clarified it, hence won't be able to comment on his resurrection after 3 days.
And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allāh." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.[Qur'an 4 - 157]
What I believe is, Jesus [as] will return back to this world to right the wrongs before the last day.
Prophet Muhammad [SAW] reportedly said “By Him [Allah] in Whose hand is my life, the son of Mary (peace be upon him) will soon descend among you as a just judge. ” (Sahih al-Bukhari - 2222) and (Sahih Muslim - 155)
afrodoc2: I am talking about the 30 yr old lamba that you mixed in your previous post, only to disavow it in your next post.
Oh wrong nau!
Also we can’t really use the elder sister’s age to judge because they were half-sisters and had different mothers. Some of Robert De Niro’s children are decades apart in age.
....it ain't my submission that she's between 20 and 30, rather a submission of some scholars. I added the last part [19] cos I kinda alligned with those scholars' submission on this matter.
dude has a set of folders with responses for each situation
eg
fundamentalist muslim - it is a mans right to have four wives liberal muslim - treat the wives equally nominal muslim - you wouldnt understand because you must read surah x.y in ---arabic indiffernt kaffir - you people do the same it is called serial monogamy miltant atheist - you people only just gave women voting rights like 100 years ago woke liberal - islam give women rights and agency
.....simply say; Oasis belong to all sects as well as belong to no sect. LMFAO
TrebleChamp: So apt, basic reason doesn't go well mix with religion. Example is Allah (God) allowing Adam and Eve to sin (he already new it would happen before he created us), and then created Hell to punish the rest of humanity for committing sin. I once told a Christian friend that Judas is innocent and probably balling in heaven, because it was already destined before he was even borne that he will betray Jesus. Dude just stared at me confused and wondering how to respond, he finally said God knows best...
....every human has two destinies, choice is yours bro. LOL!
Abdullah bn Mas'ud [ra] reported that Allah's Messenger [SAW] said: Verily your creation is on this wise. The constituents of one of you are collected for forty days in his mother's womb in the form of blood, after which it becomes a clot of blood in another period of forty days. Then it becomes a lump of flesh and forty days later Allah sends His angel to it with instructions concerning four things, so the angel writes down his livelihood, his death, his deeds, his fortune and misfortune.
By Him, besides Whom there is no god, that one amongst you acts like the people deserving Paradise until between him and Paradise there remains but the distance of a cubit, when suddenly the writing of destiny [misfortune] overcomes him and he begins to act like the denizens of Hell and thus enters Hell; and another one acts in the way of the denizens of Hell, until there remains between him and Hell a distance of a cubit that the writing of destiny [fortune] overcomes him and then he begins to act like the people of Paradise and enters Paradise. [Sahih Muslim Book 33, Number 6390]
afrodoc2: 30 is out of it. If you say 20 it is possible, though not probable. She was most likely a teenager. The reasonable debate is whether she was in her early teens or late teens.
......I agree with you - 30 is out of it, and that's why some scholars came to a conclusion that she's 19.
maybe i am reading it wrong but this is what i see.
the arabs are rich because the west derided on oil as a source of energy. they can see that today - everyone is discovering oil in their backyards and b - the west is moving or pivoting from oil . they have decided on tourism. not religious tourism - which did fk al for saudi before oil, but western driven tourism. dubai where you can now drink and cohabit ? you think you can bring in hedonist western tourists to your place and still impose sharia?
Saudi is slowly doing same. if they do not do this - that western driven prosperity will collapse and they will devolve to pakistan \bangladesh in a generation
GloriousGbola: unfortunately, Isis must have been reading a different interpretation of the Quran
the true litmus test is what would happen in a world where Islam is dominant and muslims would not need to be politically correct to get on with hegemonic western infidels
.....we are in the era already bro. Visit Dubai and witness it. LOL!
afrodoc2: 19 years or 30 years? Ustaz please pick a struggle.
.......wetin be koko be say; she don mature when Holy Prophet married her Doc. She's between 20 and 30 based on veriable evidence from reliable sources across all sects. LOL!
GloriousGbola: you are simply sharing the western friendly interpretation no one has told this to sani yerima and numerous other devout muslims from the north who insist on marrying children. they too will spit their own authentic hadiths defending child marriage
i am not your best friend, but does this mean i can marry your daughter when she is 18 tho? would you like be cool with that?
you no comment on my other comment but its all good.
.....no matter any number of books they referenced, there still just a narrator of that shît. LOL!
Let me address the 2nd for knowledge and clarity sake as well. Screenshot you attached shows that Allah [SWT] warns against transgressing. There is a clear guideline to have sex with a slave in the Qur'an - marriage.
Atleast we have seen many movies and series that show freeborns and slaves can't be mixed in those days. If a slave gains freedom, he would still be seen and sometimes addressed like a slave. What do change is; he/she won't be serving any Boss, technically, again.
The ayah is simply telling you can only have sex with your wives [freeborn] and slave [that you have married] not running helter skelter with your Gbola knacking all within your reach as slaves habibi. LOL!
The condition to knacking slave is clearly spelled out in Qur'an 4:25 bro. Note the Surah is wholly dedicated to Women.
"And whoever among you has not within his power ampleness of means to marry free believing women, then (he may marry) of those whom your right hands possess from among your believing maidens; and Allah knows best your faith: you are (sprung) the one from the other; so marry them with the permission of their masters, and give them their dowries justly…”
when i was younger i read the Quran cover to cover so much that it became dog eared so i saw the right hands possess wella
abi Isis who were enslaving women were reading a different Quran?
especially when you consider that Isis actually wanted to bring all Muslims under a single caliphate as it was before, not these bastardized hereditary monarchies or *gasp* kafirun democratic government?
do you tacitly admit that Islam like all other religions is at its core a religion for men? why else would women not be promised their own virgins ?
i dont even want to go into the weird shit where a 40 plus Prophet Muhammed tells his paddytosure Abu Bakr guy i want to marry ya pikin. imagine your best friend wanting to marry your six year old daughter and you betroth her just like that.
....let me correct/refute the underlined bro for knowledge and clarity sake.
The narrator is just one single person and his name is Hisham Ibn O'rwah Ibn al-Zubair who claimed narrating from Aisha. Guess what?! Aisha died on year 57 or year 58 after Hijra, while Hisham Ibn O'rwah was born in year 61 after Hijra. How can he claim narrating from her when she dies few years before his birth?
Hisham Ibn O'rwah is not an authentic narrator according to many Sunni scholars including Al-Soyooti who included his name with the list of Mudalliseen (those who mix and hide the reality in their narrations) (Asmaa' al- Mudalliseen). Other leading Sunni scholars like Malik Ibn Anas, Al-Midyani and many others refuse the narrations of Hishan Ibn O'rwah.
There are certain historic facts in Sunni books prove that the age of Aisha was between 20 to 30 or even more when her marriage with the Proohet (SAW) took place:
Note that elder Sister of Aisha, Asmaa' Bint Abi Bakr was born 27 years before the Bi'thah of the Prophet (SWT) (Majma' al-Zawa'id, V. 9, P. 260; Omdatul Qaari Fi Sharh Sahih Bukhari, V. 2, P. 93; al-Majma' al-Kaberi by Al-Tabarani , V. 24, P. 77 and many others].
This means that when the Prophet (SAW) migrated from Makkah to Madinah after 13 years, the age of Asmaa' Bint Abi Bakr was 40 years. As the of Aisha was few years (or maximum ten years) younger than her sister Asmaa', then the age of Aisha when the Prophet (SAW) migrated to Madina was not less than thirty years.
As the marriage took place two years after Hijra, then the age of Aisha was then more than thirty years.
Sunni scholars in Islamic Studies Centre in Cairo have refuted the widely spread narration about Aisha age and said that the age of Aisha when she got married to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was not less than 19 years. (Al-Yawm Al-Saabi' 10-10-2008).
Not much difference when the orphans and slaves are the same thing
Just as Muslim men have the right to marry 4 wives, they have rights over slaves.
that is what that verse is about.
if you want to be starkly honest Islam promises MEN sexual freedom while going on about if you can guarantee the sanctity of what is between your legs you are guaranteed paradise
as a man i am promised 70 houris each in al jannah. Basically I am promised 70 mindless sex dolls.
Believing women do not get their own 70 magic mike, possibly because
"Men were created weak" [another phrase littered across the hadith]
as a man i have the RIGHT to have 4 wives - but nothing for unequal women
as a man i have the right to fk a slave or [an orphan according to oasis - which is at odds with the grave sin of stealing from orphans] but women do not have the right to fk their own slaves
....Oasis didn't say fvck but marry bro. Don't commit fornication on my name o. LOL!
Qur'an 4:25: And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allāh is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people and give them their due compensation [i.e., mahr] according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers. But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears affliction [i.e., sin], but to be patient is better for you. And Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.
islamics: On that pantami talk, the explanation given was that, the poor would enter earlier than the rich due to accountability. Everybody go account from how he/she get 1kobo to millions and how he/she spend am. So, it is understandable when such is said, as I remember, we do make jest of some rich men that they would waste time giving accountability due to how large their wealth are. The religion abhor poverty as we are told to pray and work against it even if na to dey gather firewood sell so that make person no beg. That the reality is different today doesn't change what is there.
One of our predecessor (AbdurRahman bn Awf - Radiyallahu anh) who was given glad tidings of entering paradise was told same thing due to the level of wealth he has.
islamics: Greetings Sheikh, I get reservation about the bolded for now even though na learn I dey learn. Alhamdulillah, you mentioned Tafseer in one of your comments.
An-Nisa - Verse 59 O believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. Should you disagree on anything, then refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you ˹truly˺ believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is the best and fairest resolution.
How does the Tafseer you have read balance the above ayah with regards to Hadith talk?
The way we do our ablution today was Hadith. Suratul Maidah mentioned ablution but how it described it, is not how we do it today except maybe I don't know. The verse didn't mention inhaling and exhaling of water but we do that and some other ones too.
Iamdamilola did ask you question. I was also interested in the answer. You gave your answer, which was okay. But the thing I tell people is this; all of us go everly claim Muslim but our aqeedah (belief) and action na him go define us not we saying I am Muslim.
P.S: you are very good with putting up evidence, keep it up, I wish I can do that.
....I may sound like a Qur'aniyoon but I am not, and once again I consider myself a Muslim without affliation to any Sect.
There weren't sects when Holy Prophet [SAW] was alive, its when he died that it began to form and spread. For instance after the demise of Holy Prophet [SAW], some Sahabas supported Sayidina Ali [ra] as rightful Khalifa while some prefered Sayidina Abubakar [ra] - this is where the problem started. Mu‘awiyah reign compounded the whole issue.
I don't wanna go deep into the story, cos I believe you have read a lot too and I don't wanna confused nominal muslims as Sayidina Ali reportedly said; "Speak to people only according to their level of knowledge. Would you like for Allah and His Messenger to be denied?” [Sahih Bukhari 127].
Moreso, check my last post yesterday, I did mention we have two categories of Hadiths, Sound [Sahih] and Weak [Da'if]. I am not against all Hadiths. For instance Hadith Qudsi [sacred hadith], I believe it 100%.
so what is the difference between what you said and king james version vs New International Version NIV. vs New King James Version NKJV. ...
......again! You are mixing things up. Qur'an is written in Arabic not in English or Yoruba. For instance, if I write 'Owo' or 'Oko' without àmì, how will you interpret/translate it to English Language?!
You must understand arabic better for proper interpretations hence reason for Tafsir [àmì].
GloriousGbola: i grew up watching ahmed deedat debates
one of the big points i took away was about how fragmented christianity is and no one can agree on anything, how the bibles are compiled by people;
none of this applies to Islam because the Quran is divinely inspired
but here we are with multiple interpretations of the Quran ; multiple sects ; multiple political agendas depending on the situation we are told hadith is not valid - the surah was not meant like that
this sounds suspiciously like the same BS christians spout - you are not in the spirit so you cant understand
.....you're mixing it up bruh. Qur'an and Hadiths ain't the same. Qur'an is complete and nothing unclear in it.
Qur'an 6:115: The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.
Its Hadiths that seem controversial and its not today we have 2 categories of Hadiths, sound [sahih] and weak [da'if]
......tell him to back it with a Qur'an verse. Let me tell you difference between Qur'an and Hadiths.
Qur'an is Compilation of Allah’s [SWT] words, revealed directly to Prophet Muhammad [SAW], while Hadiths are what Prophet's Companions and Relatives said they heard from him [Note; Hadiths were compiled after his death].
Also know that, each sect has their own hadiths. For instance according to Imam Malik (ra) in his Balaghan (Muwatta Imam Malik, 1601)
Holy Prophet said: "I am leaving behind two things the Book of Allah and the Sunnah".
Sunni Muslims do hold the verse tight to their chests like bitcoins, cos it can also be found in Sahih Bukhari [Hadith]. LOL!
However, Imam Muslim (ra) in Sahih Muslim (Hadith: 2408) reported what the Holy Prophet said as: "I am leaving behind two things the book of Allah and the Ahlu Bayt."
Shi'a Muslims no dey carry this one play. LOL! What bound all of us together is Qur'an, whether you are Sunni, Shi'a, Wahbi, Sufi, Ahmadiyya and so on.
If anyone wants tell me about what Allah commands or Islam permits, show me Qur'an verse(s) to back it not Hadiths.
Qur'an 2:62: Indeed, the believers [Muslims], Jews, Christians, and Sabians —whoever ˹truly˺ believes in Allah [God] and the Last Day and does good will have their reward with their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
GrammarNazi1: Yes, I know the clause that the man must treat the wives justly or equally. If the man can't, he is not permitted to marry more than one.
Yet, it is not the woman who decides whether the man can treat them equally or not; the man decides that.
And again, a Muslim husband may decide to marry more than one wife if he desires, which means it is not a must.
If and when a man then decides to get a second wife, it is not in the wife's place to bring the man down into chaos and destruction.
Wrong......if he desires ain't the priority rather if he can be JUST. If a Muslim knows he can't be just, then its a sìn for him to marry more than a wife.
GloriousGbola: I believe it means slave. In most surahs admonishing against illegal sexual intercourse your wives and those your right hands possess are legal. Another popular loophole used for sexual exploitation of female slaves.
That too is a 'right' in Islam.
.....yeah, it can be interpreted as slave but based on the verse [from 1], it refers more to an orphan. For instance, if there is an orphan in your care and due for marriage, you can marry her. In a nutshell, it refers to the less privileged.
GrammarNazi1: Marrying a second wife is a general understanding in Islam.
I am not a Muslim; in fact, I am more logical than religious, but a Muslim wife knows that her Muslim husband may marry a second wife if he so desires.
If a Muslim husband decides to take a second wife, the wife should not turn it to drama or chaos.
If the wife can't take it, she can divorce the man.
Note, I am not saying a woman should accept polygamy. I am only saying if the woman can't take polygamy, she should divorce the man instead of putting up drama or bringing forth chaos.
.....see every muslimat knows this, even Ulamahs do tell them at Engagement that their Groom can marry up to 4 wives if he desires and has the ability to do so.
Note; polygamy ain't a must ín Islam and it comes with strict obligations. Polygamy ain't for everyone rather for the riches or wealthy ones. You must be able to take care of your wives equally in polygamy.
If you buy range rover for A you must buy same brand for B. If C and D dey, you must do same for them. If you build a house for A, you must do for the rest as well. Whatever you get for one of them, must go round to the rest - same quality and quantity.
If you bed A for a week, you must bed the rest for same number of days as well, hence how many Nigerians/Muslims can meet up with the Obligations?!
........then marry of women as may be agreeable to you, two, or three, or four; and if you fear you will not deal justly, then marry only one or what your right hands possess. That is the nearest way for you to avoid injustice. [Qur'an 4:3]
