As Hardline Brexiteer Boris Johnson take the keys to the controversial residence in 10 Downing Street today, the new Prime Minister, just like his predecessor--Theresa May, will also take the keys to the chauffeur-driven Prime Ministerial car --- an armoured Jaguar XJ Sentinel.

The 3.3 tonnes B7 level/VPAM9 classified Sentinel also doubles as a rolling fortress, as it can withstand a blast from 15kg of high explosives and sustained gun and grenade attacks.

Just like the U.S Beasts and Russian made Aurus Senat, the British-made luxury car is also equipped with an independent, self-contained oxygen supply to protect the Prime Minister and other passengers against chemical or biological attack. It can also release tear gas and other crowd dispersants when the need arises.

The Sentinel is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 503 bhp. This engine will take this humongous car from standstill to 60mph in 9.4 seconds and a top speed of speed of 121 miles per hour (195 km/h).

The current fleets, which are estimated to have cost up to £300,000 or about ₦136m, was first seen in use on 13 May 2010, when newly appointed Prime Minister David Cameron arrived at 10 Downing Street. This newly released footage from inside the cockpit of an Air Niugini Boeing 737 plane shows the moment it crashed into the Pacific in Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, last year September. It was filmed by an alarmed aircraft maintenance engineer on his iPhone.

The plane was flying from Pohnpei to Chuuk, both in the Federated States of Micronesia, when it crashed and sank to about 98 feet (30 meters) of water, killing one person.

Investigators from Papua New Guinea Accident Investigation Commission (PNG AIC) said the plane missed the runway by 1,500 feet (460 meters) in weather with poor visibility that required pilots to rely on their instruments.

The report also said the captain and first officer ignored a total of 17 audible warnings that they were flying too low.

The report read:

"The crew were fixated on the task of landing the aircraft and did not notice the visual PULL UP caution alert at the bottom of their PFD.

"Therefore, they (the crew) did not take any positive action to arrest the high rate of descent and avoid landing in the lagoon. In fact, neither of the pilots were aware of the rapidly unfolding unsafe situation.

"The crew seemed to have disregarded and talked over all the caution annunciations. The crew had experienced those type of cautions on previous flights and perceived them as nuisance alerts with no resultant consequence."

The report continued:

"The flight crew did not take corrective action to bring the aircraft back onto the required flight path. The flight crew disregarded and continuously talked over the aural alerts.

"Both pilots were not situationally aware and did not recognise the developing significant unsafe condition during the approach."

Thirty-four passengers and 12 crew members were later rescued by local boats and US Navy divers, with six passengers seriously injured.

The report also found that the only passenger that died -- whose body was discovered by divers three days after the crash -- wasn't wearing a seat belt -- which allowed his body to become a projectile sustaining traumatic head and facial injuries.

Daimler Mercedes still can't explain how North Korean leader Kim Jong Un got his fleets of multi-million dollar armoured Mercedes-Maybachs despite the United Nations imposed sanctions, at the request of President George W. Bush’s administration, in 2006 to keep luxury goods out of North Korea.

Daimler, who admitted that it has no control over the actions of third-party or second-hand dealers, also added that :

"Our company has had no business connections with North Korea for far more than 15 years now and strictly complies with E.U. and U.S. embargoes"

From 2015 to 2017, as many as 90 countries, including United Nations Security Council member nations and American allies — China, Russia, Japan and South Korea, served as the sources of luxury goods for North Koreans, according to a recent report by the Center for Advanced Defense Studies in Washington.

Over the course of an eight-month investigation, the firm believes it traced the path of two armoured Maybachs on a round-about ocean trip. The top-of-the-line Mercedes Maybach S62 and Maybach S600 Pullman Guard, which cost between $500,000 to $1.6 million each, left the Dutch Port of Rotterdam on a ship bound for Osaka, Japan.

From there, the cars were shipped to Busan, South Korea. The two vehicles later left on another ship bound for Russia, but its tracking system went down for 19 days during the transit.

When the signal was restored, the ship was headed in the opposite direction with a load of coal and no cars. As for the Russian port where the ship docked, there was no record of any cars being delivered.

That’s where the paperwork trail ends, but three North Korean cargo jets left Russia for Pyongyang a few days after this ship should’ve arrived.

Apparently, this sort of sea-going activity – especially turning off tracking transponders – is a common tactic used to violate sanctions law.

This evasions point to potential limits of sanctions as a tool for the Trump administration to pressure Pyongyang into serious negotiations to end its nuclear weapons program.

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) has unveiled a new Accessible People Mover (APM), a Mobility Vehicle that it is specially developing to support the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Through the Games, Toyota aims to provide free transportation to as many people as possible to events and venues, including athletes and staff related to the Games as well as all types of visitors with accessibility needs such as the elderly, people with impairments, pregnant women, and families with small children, among others.

The APM has about 100 km (62 miles) of range and can go up to 19 km/h (12 mph). Besides the driver, the APM can sit five passengers or three if one of them is in a wheelchair.

German automaker Audi have asked Barcelona’s stars to return their freebie cars after the car giant's Camp Nou sponsorship ended on June 30.

Shanghai-based airlines on Friday completed the first massive test run at the Beijing's new starfish-shaped Daxing International Airport to assess its operational readiness and fix possible problems.

It's no news that Mexican drug lord, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, has been sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday in New York for smuggling tons of drugs including cocaine and heroine into the United States.

El Chapo, who was also ordered to forfeit $12.6b (₦4.5 trillion) , was the head of the Sinaloa Cartel --- which is one of the most powerful drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime syndicates in the world.

He once escaped from a maximum security prison through a tunnel almost one mile long that connected a construction site to his shower area. He was finally extradited to the United States to face trial in January 2017.

A father and son have been arrested and their workshop shut after intelligence revealed they have been producing fake Ferrari 812 and Lamborghini Aventador supercars.

After complaint by the two Italian companies --- who has a team that works to discover illegal operations in several countries, the police raided the workshop and discovered eight replicas which were in the process of being assembled. Tools, molds and frames used to making the fake cars were also seized during the raid.

According to the Civil Police of Santa Catarina, Brazil, the two criminals were selling the fake supercars on social media for between $48,000 and $66,000 --- which is a fraction of the price of the genuine Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari 812 .

The pair, who face criminal charges for falsifying commercial property, are believed to be the largest manufacturers of fake luxury cars in Brazil.

The new Sharp 860 watts of thin film solar, which are wrapped on the bonnet, roof, rear hatch door and rear hatch door varnish of the plug-in Prius PHV, is designed to charge the battery-packs as it drives, and to add more than 35 Miles (or 56km) to its fossil fuel-free driving range.

In addition to boosting its power generation output, the demo car employs a system that charges the driving battery while the vehicle is parked and also while it's being driven, a development that is expected to lead to considerable improvements in electric-powered cruising range and fuel efficiency.

Physicist Dr. Sterling Backus and his 11-year-old son's dream of owning a $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador became a reality after spending 18 months and just $20k replicating the sports car.

The pair, who obviously could not afford Lamborghini Aventador, fell in love with the superfast Italian car while playing a video game Forza Horizon 3 - a video game for the Xbox One.

Over the past 18 months, the two super car lovers have spent an hour each day painstakingly gluing each panel onto the home-made chassis.

The impressive supercar boasts a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette LS1 V8 engine and two turbochargers, inverted Porsche 911 transaxle, as well as genuine Lamborghini parts, including windows, lights and windscreen wipers.

Mr Backus, who is also a professor at Colorado State University, made enough tweaks in order not incur any legal issues with Italian automaker, Lamborghini.

Instead, Dr. Backus designs the panels on Solidworks, with each panel printed in small pieces using three 3D printers he bought from Amazon. From there he glues each panel together, with some panels fixed into a steel frame underneath.

The build isn't complete yet, but he believes the final project will cost him around $20k (₦7.2m) or just only five per cent of what Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo (1st pics), payed for his Lambo - which starts at $400k (or ₦144m) - saving a whopping $380k (₦137m).

Turkey Defies US, Takes Delivery Of Russian S-400 Air Defense System Designed To Shoot Down ₦31b US F-35 Combat Aircrafts

Russian government has delivered the first batch of the ₦720 billion S-400 Air defense system to Turkey , a move that has brought tensions between the Turkish and U.S. governments to a new level.

The deliveries, which nullifies a massive contract for Turkey to buy US F-35 combat aircraft -- a plane the Russian-made S-400 is designed to shoot down, will almost certainly trigger additional U.S. sanctions.

The S-400, which can shoot down aircraft at a distance of up to 150 miles (240 km) and intercept ballistic missiles up to 38 miles away, will provide Turkish armed forces with an advanced weapon capable of covering most of Syria and their old adversary Greece.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who planned to buy 116 of the $85m (₦31billion) F-35 combat aircrafts from US, has said that excluding Turkey from the F-35 program would be "robbery" since they have already invested more than $1 billion (₦360 billion) in the consortium building it.

The U.S. Air Force has 8 official presidential pilots on staff. The Presidential Airlift Group also has 326 service members dedicated to supporting Air Force One operations. Most deal with logistics, maintenance and supply.

The 232-foot long aircraft is powered by four jet engines that gives a maximum top speed of 630 miles per hour (Mach 0.92). It will fly 7,800 miles fully-fueled and can also be refueled in-air in case of emergency.

It costs around  ₦52 million (£116,000) per hour to keep the ultimate in presidential privileges in the air. And that's not counting the  ₦117 billion ($325 million) the US government paid for each plane.

Two new Boeing 747-8s aircrafts, which are expected to be delivered in 2024, will replace the two current and ageing 747-200s aircrafts, which has now served five U.S. presidents in times of both peace and crisis.

The two upcoming Airforce One models, which will cost tax payers about $3.9 billion ( ₦1.4 trillion ), will be longer, wider, and capable of going further and cruising faster than its predecessor.

F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton was forced to queue with the public for his recent flight after selling his ₦11.4 billion (£25 million) candy red Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet because he no longer needed it.

Drivers were forced to pulled over when the door of an armored truck, belonging to GardaWorld Corp., accidentally swung open while driving along Interstate 285 Tuesday evening --- spilling hard cash everywhere.

The Video above shows dozens of drivers pulling over to the side of the road in Dunwoody, Georgia, and dashing for the cash.

City of Dunwoody Sgt. Robert Parsons estimated about $175,000 (or about ₦63 million) spilled out onto the highway.

According to the Police department, drivers will not be able to keep the stolen cash :

"Those people who do not return the money, we have video, we have tag numbers. We have footage of people on the interstate,"

"What we're asking the public to do is bring the money back. Don't make us come looking for you, because if we do that, you probably will be charged."

Bentley is 100 years today and to celebrate the centenary anniversary, the luxury automaker has unveiled the EXP 100 GT concept car -- an all-electric, autonomous vision of what an ultra-luxury Grand Tourer might look like in the year 2035.

Undelivered 737 Max

Saudi arabian carrier Flyadeal has become the latest airline to cancel its order of the still-grounded Boeing 737 Max jets.

The airline, which signed a commitment to order 30 Boeing 737 Max jets last year - almost the same time Nigeria's Air Peace signed a mega deal with the Aircraft maker, will now take delivery of 30 Airbus A320neo jets instead.

The Airbus planes, ordered by its parent company Saudi Arabian Airlines at the Paris Air Show in June, are scheduled to be delivered in 2021.

The airline said:
“This order will result in flyadeal operating an all-Airbus A320 fleet in the future”

Boeing also added in a statement:
“We understand that flyadeal will not finalise its commitment to the 737 MAX at this time given the airline’s schedule requirements”.

According to Boeing, the provisional order, which included additional purchasing options for 20 Max jets, was worth $5.9 billion (about ₦2.1 trillion naira) at list prices.

Earlier this year, Indonesian airline Garuda canceled a multibillion-dollar order for 737 Max 8 jets saying "Our passengers have lost confidence to fly with the Max 8".

This move is another blow to Boeing, which has struggled to regain trust after its 737 Max jets were involved in two fatal crashes.

Before the crashes, the 737 MAX was the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing history, accumulating more than 4,700 orders from 102 customers worldwide.
