Currently only the receiver pays the N50, from next year, the sender will start paying it,.
What it means is that if you are sending N10,000+ to your love ones, bank will charge a total of N100, N50 from u and N50 from them.
Example, if you want to send N10000 for something urgent, you have to have N10100, then you will send N10050, bank will deduct 50 from your account, when it reach the receiver, they will get N10,000 after bank have deducted another N50.
This charges is only for stamps duty, and other charges will be included during the transaction

A shocking incident has thrown an Enugu community into deep mourning after a 16-year-old boy, identified as Chinonso Ejike, allegedly stabbed his 35-year-old neighbor, Esther ljeoma Obasi, to death in cold blood.
The heartbreaking event occurred after the kindhearted woman reportedly offered the teenager food because he was hungry_and his mother was not at home.
How the Tragedy Happened
According to eyewitness accounts and preliminary police investigations, the boy had gone to the woman's house earlier in the day to ask for food.
Out of compassion, she cooked and served him a meal.
However, just a few hours later, Chinonso allegedly returned to her residence armed with a knife. He reportedly stabbed her eight to nine times, leaving her in a pool of blood. After she collapsed, he dragged her body to a bushy area behind the compound and attempted to hide it in a swamp.
Neighbors raised an alarm when they noticed the suddenly disappearance of the woman.
Suspect Confesses Motive
Upon his arrest, the 16-year-old suspect reportedly confessed that he killed the woman as part of a requirement to gain promotion within a cult group he had joined.
The confession has sparked deep outrage, with many questioning how a teenager could be involved in such violent cult activities.
Community in Shock
Residents are devastated by the gruesome killing, describing the late Esther as a peaceful, generous woman who often helped neighbors.
Many expressed disbelief that an act of kindness ended in such a cruel and senseless tragedy.
"Sixteen years old? God have mercy. This is heartbreaking," a community member lamented.
Police Begin Full Investigation
The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the arrest and has launched a full investigation.
The suspect is currently in detention and will be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld a ruling that prevents Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) and the Directorate of Road Traffic Services from confiscating vehicles or imposing fines on motorists.
The appellate court confirmed the October 16, 2024, decision of the Federal High Court in Abuja, dismissing an appeal filed by the VIO as baseless.
The case arose after a motorist challenged the actions of VIO officials, who had stopped him at Jabi District, Abuja, and confiscated his vehicle without legal authority.
The Federal High Court ruled that the VIO had no power under the law to detain, seize, or fine drivers.
The court also ordered that the rights of motorists, including freedom of movement, presumption of innocence, and property ownership, must not be violated.
Justice Neonye Maha had ruled that only a competent court could impose fines on motorists found to breach any law.
The ruling cited provisions of the 1999 Constitution and the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights to reinforce motorists' protections.
While the applicant sought N500 million in damages and a public apology, the court awarded N2.5 million instead.
Respondents in the case included the Directorate of Road Traffic Services, its Abuja Area Commander, a team leader, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Their appeal against the judgment was rejected by the Court of Appeal.
The decision is now binding, ensuring that VIO officials cannot seize vehicles or issue fines outside legal authority.
