The Holy Spirit came to the Prophets to help them work in the power of God.

The Holy Spirit is a free gift to every person that believes, after Jesus ascended into Heaven. Jesus having the fullness of the Holy spirit (asked the Father/ sent) fulfilled the promise that the Holy Spirit will be sent out to every person that believes in him. ( I do not want to say sent the Holy Spirit, because I do not remember the bible verse)
