Don't Igbos get tired always seeking victims?
-Was it the British that made you lose the south south alliance?
-Was it the British that made azikwe contesting head of state in South West this leaving his own region bereft of quality leadership?
-Were you not the first president?
-Were you not the first of alot of development in Nigeria so much that your leader boasted of being the one to save the black man race?
-Was it the British that sponsored the massive brain drain of the south east to other regions which still happens till date?
- Was it the British that made you reject the secession clause that could have allowed you shaped your region destiny?
-zik and ojukwu ruined your destiny in the 90s, you allowed Nnamdi kanu ruined it in the 20s.
Your leaders took a lot of senseless decisions and miss strategic decisions pre independence of which the pains you will inherit till tommrow. |

Since you're considering a private university, you would always get a better one outside the school. Your feelings are super valid, for me, that man is dubious, it is insane of our society that such people own institutions, not to talk of an academic institution. if she did not get admission this year, it is not the end of the world. He/ She can go for an apprenticeship or computer training courses. best of it. |

nairalanda1: The problem is, even if we hold them responsible, even if there was no corruption..most states are not making enough money to pay for state police that would be effective.
It's bitter truth, but truth Do they have the resources to harness their potentials? Are they harnessing? Do they blame Lagos, other entities and federal government for their woes? Seek these answers before apportioning truth. |
Politics › Re: State Police, The Dream Of The Visionless And The Ignorant by obawinner(m): 12:08pm On Sep 19, 2025 |
nairalanda1: Well, you do have an active imagination, old boy.
Which means about 34 states can't afford it, and i wonder why that fact makes you so angry?
The same state universities that are mostly subpar, poorly funded, and cannot afford to raise salaries. The hospitals that are for the most part poorly equipped and have no advanced equipment, and that many nigerians are running away from if they can afford to do so?
And is vigilante as strong as police.? LOL.
Give it up. For arguments sake and it is not like your opinion will count. you can just gnash your teeth here on nl as part of the constitutional freedom of speech. Go and hold your state government responsible, the tax law makes adequate provision for more funds. Federal government has seceded more funds to your state government, instead of you-all to police and elect better leadership and put pressure on them, you are fixated on other things. South West already has a regional police. North has a regional police. Go and hold state and regional government responsible, that will be much easier than praying for progressive policies to stop. |
Politics › Re: Food Price Crash: Farmers Fault FG’s Order As Agro-Imports Hit ₦2.2 Trillion by obawinner(m): 12:25pm On Sep 16, 2025 |
laivwire: I believe in the free market particularly as local regulatory bodies have always failed at keeping a price limit like their global counterparts. Farming is not a regulated profession and anyone can engage in it.
Give it a year at most and prices would fall. This is assuming other critical factors like fuel price, input price and security of land for farming is accessible. Agreed. Let's hope for the best. |
Politics › Re: Food Price Crash: Farmers Fault FG’s Order As Agro-Imports Hit ₦2.2 Trillion by obawinner(m): 10:22am On Sep 16, 2025 |
Kukutente23: Yes. Middlemen. A lot of those who got the money from CBN were not even farmers to begin with NUPENG and Dangote matter is a different kettle of fish People need to thread softly on it because what you think may not be what you see Agreed. The government builds low cost housing too, it's never the low income earner that gets it, same too with the social registry for vulnerable people. It is just a society of greed, nepotism we operate in. |
Politics › Re: Food Price Crash: Farmers Fault FG’s Order As Agro-Imports Hit ₦2.2 Trillion by obawinner(m): 8:40am On Sep 16, 2025 |
laivwire: Did you figure what would happen borders remained closed and food prices rise?
Well, more people would go into farming for one because it becomes necessary and profitable. And just in case you don't know, apart from oil, it is the biggest employer of labour in our developing economy that has little industrialisation.
Instead of finding better ways of subsidizing production and tackling insecurity head on, your president is applying bandages upon bandages to a wound that's already festering by opting for short term import options.
I can boldly say that even though we have a large population and large market in Nigeria, our poor purchasing power strips away that advantage, thereby inhibiting industrial development (improved product quality) and making the country retarded and backwards.
Only big expatriate companies can afford to operate on a big scale and utilize the economy of scale to sell a low price points that Nigerians can afford and you won't have any Nigerian company giving them a run for their money because they are backed by stronger currency. This is all the way across Mtn, ShopRite, Nestlé, Olam, Presco, Dangote refinery. Even Tomato Jos is funded by VC. Very valid. Import isn't a sustainable way to keep agriculture cheap for everyone, but I must include the notorious nature of our middle men in Nigeria. Without a price control board, even if we have high yield, be sure to know it would still be expensive. |

Kukutente23: That was the work of middlemen not farmers Besides the same FG was pushing the money to their APC minions instead of real farmers middle mens? Just like Nupeng who wants status quo to remain so they can keep determining the cost of petrol? |

Buhari closed border so that we can be self sufficient in food production instead make food come down, it increased significantly.
Nigeria farmers hoard market to create scarcity for increased profits.
When buhari government gave loan for local rice production, instead of selling to Nigerian market, they began to rebag it to foreign bags and selling to neighboring countries.
They ban the importation of frozen chicken from neighboring countries, chicken became 25k - 30k. Instead of making fair profit, they Farmers increased their price so highly and as per closed border, you are only at their mercy.
Never again. |

bigpicture001: I still d not believe in this gigantic projects...
I rather use peter Obi's style..
In Obi's style in Anambra, he said it will b wasteful building one gigantic stadium for the state when alot of youth aspiring athletes live in all local govt of the state.. hence will need huge t/fare every morning as frequently as they need the facility to journey down to the sight in order to access them
Rather u started building mini local government level stadia.. meant to more accessible to the local athletes at hi/her base and help foster sport development faster and more integrated...
The man get Sense die..
In that sense, he built four before he left government You know all of this is audio project cos e no dey. But keep enjoying the illusion. Na your people for Anambra dey suffer. |

- His candidacy profile from last election in Lagos as an opposition makes APC margin of winning higher . - A coalition platform like ADC can't work in Lagos. - It is good for democracy as he has to battle - Established funsho Doherty in the ADC primary election, his profile is the easiest for APC agenda anyway. - Lagos grassroots election is controlled dominated by APC 100%. |

chrisxxx: You are very conversant with this. I also want to bring it to your knowledge that Ikwerre people were part of the agitation to break away from the old East. And for the morons who don't understand the history of the Igbos and Ikwerres, if Ijaws, Ogonis and other tribes of Niger Delta saw the Ikwerres as Igbos they wouldn't have allowed them in the struggle. They knew the same oppression they went through in the hands of the Igbos, Ikwerre people went double of it. it was so bad the southern Cameroonian had to vote away their sovereignty to join Cameron instead of sharing region with the igbos. |
Politics › Re: Nwodo: We Will Join Kanu To Fight For Biafra If SE Doesnt Get Presidency In 2023 by obawinner(m): 7:22am On Aug 06, 2025 |
proeast: Nwodo has said it all, nothing more to add. Igbo have passed the ball and it is now in their court. So, from whatever they return is what we will decide the way forward.
Igbos have shown more love to Nigeria than any other group but what did we get in return? Hate, envy, jealousy and wickedness. They joined forces with the sole purpose of keeping us down. However, it is no longer business as usual, something will definitely give this time around.
Igbos embraced GEJ, not because he is an Igbo man but simply because he ran an all inclusive government which the Igbos have always asked for, and I don't think that too much. We stood with him through thick and thin, even when facts on ground showed he did more for the North than any other zone.
When the results were being announced, and it became obvious he was going to lose, many places in the East became quiet like a graveyard. I could feel the frustration, anger and sadness in many people. I believe it was at this point that many Igbos joined IPOB because they totally lost faith in Nigeria. Now, imagine what will happen in 2023 if/when the Igbos are sidelined again. I don't need any soothsayer to tell me what is going to happen. That will definitely be the proverbial last straw that will break the camel's back.
What Nwodo said is obviously what is going to happen and that is why IPOB is praying that Igbos should be sidelined so that they can achieve a consensus in the demand for Biafra. peak f0oling. |
