Just flew through Uyo airport from Accra. Was shocked nobody asked me for anything. It felt very very unusual. I felt the urge to say "bill me" lol

Anyway, i think its possible for this menace to stop if authorities are serious about it.

I noticed a man in suit overseeing the airport staff at immigrations and at the security point. So its possible there is closer supervision on them

Or....the airport staff have been given good orientation on dealing with passengers.

On the flip side, i heard the airport staff who do this begging are working on a quota from their superiors. If you dont beg sufficiently to meet your target, you are posted out of the airport to a less lucrative location
