None of them will take on the United job at the moment especially if they're tied to other clubs where they're doing well.

Fabian Hurzeler is doing a fantastic job with Brighton. Andoni Iraola did well at Bournemouth and isn't doing badly yet at Liverpool. Xavi Hernandez is with Netherlands but did better than Carrick during his time with Barca. Nagelsmann is younger than Carrick and a better Manager too. He is available and favoured by Christopher Vivell.

My best pick would be Antonio Conte. He would demand the best from the players and the management but they wouldn't want him. Conte is the manager with the highest possibility of giving you the EPL title in his first full season.

In all, Wilcox and the entire ownership of the club needs to go. And fans need to stop buying tickets and going to watch the games. Sponsorship deals need to stop coming in. Many the club needs to be relegated and revenue needs to drop drastically to make the club owners sell to better buyers who will inject more money into the club.

The point remains that football has evolved. How many trophies pre and post Ferguson? What style of play and tactics was used in 1990 compared to now? Yes Ferguson had no major achievement but football has really evolved. These days you need a manager with proper tactical nous and in-game tactics to lead a big club like Manchester United. Careick doesn't have those characteristics. There are managers in his age grade who are way better than him.

For me, the best option right now would be Antonio Conte. He would change the club's position radically but Wilcox won't like him because he would demand them to do their job and determine his transfers himself. But he will give you results. In fact, Conte can give you the EPL title in 1 full season if you give him his demands.

I think Michael should be reassured bcoz he's Man Utd bred and understands where the club ought to be, but this requires time and resources.

United under Ferguson in those early years isn't same United right now and football has really evolved over the years. You can't compare the football then and now.
Giving Michael such long term role is going to be a disaster. He doesn't have it in him. You can tell by the way this team is playing. Again, what is his pedigree? What are his achievements in his coaching CV? Check his record at Middlesbrough and see why he was sacked. The games against Maresca and De Zerbi even with an advantage showed how clueless he is tactically. I will not give him the long term role. Let him go prove himself elsewhere first.

It's easier to sack 1 manager than 5 players who aren't performing well. Sacking 5 players will cause too much problems in the team.

I don't think it's about cheap. It's about who Wilcox favours. Wilcox wants Eddie Howe while Vivell wants Nagelsmann. And Jason Wilcox is known to have Ratcliffe's ears on issues like this. Same Wilcox that wanted Carrick as Manager and got him even when Vivell never wanted him.

Man Utd's problem is fundamental. I want to believe they only planned for managerial transition when Sir Fergie was leaving but failed to develop a plan for sustaining their acquired success. Following that, hiring Moyes, who then went on to hiring mediocre players, was a big miscalculation. Moyes didn't have the status to attract star players like Fergie did, neither was any star player going to play under him.

However, the likes of Louis Van Gaal, José Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick and Erik TenHag employed their individual processes and influence, however slow they were, to rebuild but they were not allowed time and chance to exert themselves. Here we are, watching the Great Manchester United fight for its life and long lost glory and dominance.

My view and opinion is that Michael Carrick should be supported by the board, fans and players bcoz to rebuild is not child's play. Michael should be reassured bcoz it's important for him to work successfully under a conducive environment, not walking on egg shells. It's a crucial time for a sober reflection and not a time to point accusing fingers.

What is Michael's pedigree as a Manager? What has he won? Can't you even see his substitutions? Can't you see his pressing style? Carrick is only good at counterattacking tactics and that doesn't really work in today's football. You won't win any titles with counterattacking tactics in today's football especially when you are involved in 4 competitions in one season. Carrick changed his tactics to control the game but his style and choice of players is stale.

I will never support Carrick as long term manager in a club like Manchester United. He doesn't have the tactical nous to get the club anywhere even in a top 5 finish unless he plays 1 game per week and uses the counterattacking tactics.

Funny enough na Eddie Howe this peoplebwan bring as Carricks's replacement.

I didn't complain about Amorim. In fact he was my favorite coach especially in the second season before he was sacked. There was some kind of improvement and he took United to the Europa League final before they lost to Tottenham. The complain of intense training was a silly excuse. He had the tactics and created many chances with one of the highest xg in the second season. He wanted more signings and called out Jason Wilcox.

The ownership of United just needs to change. Fans should stop buying tickets. Imagine someone spent 1300 quid to go watch that disaster of a game in Italy. When fans boycott the games and they lose sponsorship deals maybe their eyes go open.
