Politics › Re: Southwest Lack Of Friends Will Cost Tinubu His Presidency by Obiedun(m): 9:20pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
Ooni: Go and mark my words. Tinubu has gathered an ant infested firewood by declaring SOE in a critical state as rivers, for the following reasons:
He is heavily unpopular in rivers as no former governor such as Amaechi, Odili, Omehia or Rivers elders or religious and traditional rulers support him. He is so unpopular that he can't get someone from Rivers state to rule as an administrator. How is a sole administrator going to succeed in such an environment of rising insecurity? Does he not that all these actors will pull resources together and sabotage the emergency rule. All politics is local and he doesn't have the local actors by his side. The sequence of likely event will be a massive escalation of pipeline bombings across the Niger Delta followed by a belated summon of the council of state meeting and an eventual general military takeover.
Another reason is that he is unpopular in the entire country. When I wrote sometime ago that we Yorubas have no friends, my people thought I called for a shouting match. Northeast and Northwest is a political bloc. Likewise southeast and southsouth is a political bloc. Southwest is isolated in terms of organic ally and trust. Anybody who can prove any other region that supports Tinubu our son apart from a fraction of southwest will receive a reward from me. Opposition has already mounted in the north waiting for allies in the south and Tinubu is hastening such unity against his beleaguered administration.
He is a neophyte who thinks he can run the country with egoistic corrupt judges who think they're carrying some sort of magical hammers. It'll take a miracle for him to complete his first term. Keep quiet. |
Politics › Re: Suspending FUBARA Will Be Tinubu's Biggest Undoing Come 2027 by Obiedun(m): 9:19pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
Quarterpast: I'm utterly disgusted, dismayed and disheartened by the current happenings in the political hemisphere as long as Rivers state is concerned. Tinubu has messed up. He has lost the trust and support of the people, not just the Rivers' people but the entire SouthSouth region. Today's declaration by Tinubu suspending SIM FUBARA, the Rivers state Governor will forever be his biggest political undoing and Achilles heel to his reelection bid in 2027. Suspending FUBARA and not doing same to Wike, the causative organism of the entire crises is evil. Now I believe what the female corps Member said. Tinubu is not only a terrible president, but a very bad one. He's a unfit to govern Nigeria. He's a square peg in a round hole. In saner climes, Tinubu ought to have relieved wike of his appointment for formenting trouble in Rivers state. Wike has deliberately continued without resistance, to obstruct public peace in Rivers. Who made him a god in Rivers state if I May ask? The suspension of fubara is a clear affront to Democracy. It is Preposterous, ridiculous and absurd. And if nothing is done to address this, I forsee Danger in the offing. Democracy is in grave Danger. Democracy is under a serious threat. You can't threaten anybody with 2027. |

kpankpangolo: Hearsay upon hearsay. I’m waiting for an official interview before coming to a conclusion. Nairaland known for posting fake news made sure not to post any of those to the front page. Them dey fear lawsuit. Nigerian Afrobeats star Ololade “Asake” Ahmed has set the record straight after his father publicly accused him of neglect. But rather than a press statement, Asake did what he does best by responding through music. The controversy erupted when Asake’s father took to social media, claiming the singer had abandoned him. In a heartfelt plea, he said, “The last time I saw him was when I fell sick in March 2022. If I call, he won’t pick. Please help me, it’s your help I need.” With rumors swirling, Asake took to TikTok, delivering a freestyle that addressed the claims head-on. "I gave this man 100 million, bought him a house, and he sold it. This man spends like a young boy, even carries OS," he rapped, suggesting reckless spending was at the heart of their fallout. But the singer didn’t stop there. He hinted at emotional manipulation, making it clear he’s had enough. "My people, can you see? My father too wants to cajole me. I used to give him money, and I did it freely." Despite the drama, Asake remains focused on his journey, with faith as his guide. “You can’t please the world. Do whatever you do for God, and always remember that one day, you’ll go and meet your God.” The revelation has sparked heated debates online. Some fans are calling for reconciliation, while others insist that family ties should never be exploited. One certain thing is that Asake is letting his music do the talking.
