@all, i checked the way bill number on the return form for dhl and found out that my application which was was received earlier today is being return don't know the reason yet.

pls i sent the original of my sponsor statement and a copy.note the photocopy was not certified.please will that be acceptable by CDHC.

@eky102, this is not the time for dis. Canada is whats important now o!.

@webstradamus, I am not sure is they would but it is stated clearly that they want the original acceptance letter and a copy.

@all, I finally had my application submitted today thru DHL today with both the family composition form on the general Canadian and Nigerian website,which ever they want.Now i leave the rest to God.

Any 1 going to Niagara college this fall.
@cuddlemii and gel03, how far with ur application.have u submitted?

u can submit her passport with her maiden name attaching the marriage certificate and a newspaper showing notification of change of name .u can use any of the popular newspapers.note the name used on the application form must conform to that on the passport. so u have just the marriage certificate and the newspaper to show.

@gel, wats up with ur application?did u get admission from any school.

yes u still have to submit payslips for confirmation of the monthly income u receive as stated in the application form.

@ eky102,
congrats on your admission to memorial , that surely will make ur application easy because of the funding attached to it. i wish u the best

i am still waiting for my sponsor to print out his statement of account so that i can submit my application.
Note :A friend of mind got his application return 1 week after submission, he was told to write names of family members in full as against using initials in the family composition form

hello house, i am making this inquiries for a gud friend of mine.
he graduated with a g.p of 2.49 of 4 yrs program in computer science here in nigeria and intends going a masters or a post graduate degree in any related course in any university in alaska.please i need information on wat program or instuition he could be admitted to.pls i need comments on this as he intends applying for spring 2012.thanks

I actually applied to memorial for fall 2011 and my application online was complete. For the reference, I made sure my laptop had adobe 9 or 10 which can only allow the reference form to be assessable, and then filled the information myself after which I forwarded it to my reference email by attachment for which he sent. If ur reference does have an institutional email like shola@uniben.edu, that will be better otherwise u can use yahoo, hotmail addresses.Note professional refrence can be done by ur boss at ur place of work.
Also, make sure u send them notarized copies of ur documents. They don’t accept just copies.
Are u applying for program starting in fall 2011 or spring 2012.

@all, ayoalade,
I am sending my application to CDHC next week without my tax clearance cos it not ready. what are my chances or how do i explain that to them.

In the application form for visa, there is a question which goes this way,

Have you been refused admission to Canada or any other country?

Is refused admission the same as refused or denied visa. cos i av been denied visa once by the Swedish embassy
if yes, shuld i state the reason for denial of visa?

@ayoalade, Cuddlemii, Delta007 and all, kindly respond to the post by newacca on tax clearance cos we both share the same situation.
I will be submitting documents to FIRS on Monday for tax clearance ,don’t know how long it takes.
Should I just go ahead with the visa application without the tax clearance?

@all, is there alternative document that could stand for tax clearance certificate considering the fact that the company commenced operation only last year 2010

@babsharon and sunky644, Niagara college and Humber does accept 2.2. for a post graduate study.
@webstradamus, I applied for M.Eng oil and gas engineering.I called them on monday and was told over the phone.
@newacca, I am also being faced with the same probs, my sponsor does not have a biz tax clearance certificate

To Prospects wit 2.2 grade,
I just received a notification on my application to masters to memorial university which was unfortunatley not positive.Thats basically because I had a 2.2, so it is evident that this school will not give admission to 2.2 even is it is the minimum requirement.It is the only university in Canada that accepts 2.2 and also the cheapest.u can imagine the number of applications they receive.
However I had a back up application to other colleges for a post graduate study which was positive.

I'd like to know if it is mandatory I include my sponsors tax clearance cos at the moment the application for tax clearance is yet to be made to FIRS.please I am using a company account.

Hi guys,

What should I answer to these 2 questions on the application form given that I have been refused a student visa to Germany in 2008

1. Have you been refused admission to, or ordered to leave Canada or any other country? Yes or No

I also wanted to know whether refusal of admission means refusal at a port of entry or does it also include refusal of visa applied to an embassy.

every1 with the intention of applying to any embassy at all let alone Canadian embassy should learn from Adekola.Its always better to submit legit documents than fake documents.
complete documents won't grant u visa if God hand is not there.A word is enough for the wise

yes u can submit secondary school transcript only if it is required by the university or u are applying for a post secondary programme (undergraduate)

One of the main determinants to getting visas is proving you have ties to Nigeria - If I were you, I'd tell your dad to transfer the ownership of one of the houses to your name. That way you can tell them you will definitely be coming back to live in your ready built house.

hello Guys, I am new on here.I have few questions has regards research interest for master studies.I had my first degree education in civil engineering with a 3.2 from Nigeria in 2005.Having had much experiences in the construction, i want undertake M.eng oil and gas engineering in US.wat aspect of oil and gas do i fit in ? i am think pipline .also how do i relate civil engineering to oil and gas when i get to the embassy.plss i need your replies.thanks all

@charlie, u really are a genius.ur indept knowledge and subsequent analysis of question being asked is an advantage to everyone on here.u too much brother.
u av made mention abt having experience related to research interest and proposed course of study, i did civil engineering for a first degree and applying for graduate programme in oil and gas .my work experience have been mainly on civil construction.how do i correlate this and convince the consulate.

@Cuddlemii, U dont av to pay tuition before application for visa .However most instituition require u pay tuition fee intallmentally by semester or yearly before a certain deadline to keep ur place.
Most agents collects the full tuition payment to keep there commitment with these schools too,
@nk-love , a bacclaurate degree is equivalent to a bachelor degree hence a post bacclaurate in accouting is a post graduate certificate in accouting.

@gel , English proficiency was not on my application profile page.i sent them my waec result and a scratch card .the English result there should do.

Dont worry about ur kid and the cold.I understand its cold out there but that will sorted out when u get there.

U also need to send the notarized copy of other documents quickly while waiting for delsu to send the transcript.these documents should get the before the application deadline.

Mine is 3.2, ya we both meet the minimum requirement but i learnt that admission slot for international student is limited and competitive.However i need that admission.

@all, hello ever1, does any 1 know of any person that av been admitted to memorial university?does with 2.2 should consider the postgraduate programs .its easier to get admission than graduate program

@ All, it seems universities in the east wont stop this strike until after the elections.How do i get my transcript then? do i take copies of transcript sent to the university during application for visa.

@fimtrick1, did you enclose copies of ur waec, neco and official transcript.

@gel03, try sending ur transcript with notarized copies of ur documents also enclose a CV.I applied for masters in oil and gas engineering.
