You pay for stamping your passport at each entry point sir. Don't be hasty to call him a liar. I have travelled on road from Nigeria to Abidjan and beyond I paid at each point except while leaving Ghana before entering Ivory Coast and this was because the vehicle I boarded had collected the money as part of my fare.

I have been at Seme where luxury bus drivers just bring the passports of passengers to be stamped and money exchanged hands. That you didn't pay means it was added to you fare.

Stamping out of Nigeria or stamping into Nigeria is the only one that is supposed to be free for Nigerians but the guys will always ask you for something. If you don't have, you're not forced to give.
pleas3 can you detail us on the prices and boarding points for Lagos to Abidjan

Thanks,

I understand I don't need to Legalize my own birth certificate.

But please do I need to legalize my marriage certificate and my older child’s birth certificate at the Nigerian Embassy in Brasilia for the Permanent Residency application?. I have an older child who is 2 years old and was born in Nigeria.
You do have to legalise your marriage certificate and your child's own. Best advice, is legalise all your documents. Documentation challenges doesn't end with just permanent residence applications

Brazil embassy una too do oo! Pikin wey I wan go born for Brazil don land here yet no feedback from the embassy as regards to my visa application, if I get visa now what will I do with it, anyway, I really hope they give me 1 year visa so I can prepare for another baby.

Ps. My passport will expire in June this year, I applied for Brazil visa in November 2024, please will my pp short validity affect the duration of the visa they will give me in case my visa is approved? Please experience people, I need an answer to this👆
Visas are issued according to the 1. Approved length of stay for the country of origin if traveller or 2. The maximum limit on the passport of the traveller.

I your case as a Nigerian, you get normal 1 year multiple entry visitor visa. But since your passport is less than the 1 year visa you could have got, they will give you visa equivalent to the remaining duration of your passport. Bear in mind that sometimes they will not give you the visa because you have less than 6 months validity remaining on your passport (some Embassies, I don't know of Brazil)

Hello guys, happy new year. I’m new here and have been reading through the previous post but please I need assistance because I noticed a lot has changed.

Firstly, I’ll like to have my baby in Brazil and I’m a month plus gone. Can someone guide me with the process please! Also, I had my first baby in USA and was supposed to have my second also in USA but was returned at POE because of trump strict rule then. (Mind you I paid all my bills and had zero balance when I had my first baby but I was unfortunate to me a racist who swore she’d make sure I return back to my country then) anyway I’m saying this here so you guys can advise me better.

Please what’s the best way to approach the application process 🙏 can someone who has birthed her baby guide me please🙏 the site, document and all the necessary information needed.

Also, I read Mexico is another option to explore even though Brazil is my first option. Kindly advise me if it’s better to get the Schengen visa first before starting the Brazilian since one can enter Mexico with a Schengen visa. Your responses are anticipated. Thank you in advance 🙏
if you still have the USA visa, you can go and birth in Mexico

if it is tourist visa, it has to be a return ticket. Only residents and or students can do one way.

Hello all,

Please I need your inputs on this. Say you have #10m to invest, how would you go about it? Would you rather:

1. Invest all in Risevest real estate plan for a 11-12% annual return. Using the exchange rate of 1650, that's about $6060. 12% of that is $727 which is about #1.2 return in a year.

2. Invest all in Stanbic MMF for a 20-21% annual return, which is about #2m.

3. Putting inflation into consideration, I'd go for number 1 but leaving out a potential 800k in option 2 doesn't sound very wise to me.

If you have any other way you'd go about this please kindly share 🙏🏾
To simplify your question:

Should you save your money in dollars at about 10% interest or should you save in naira at about 20% interest...

I am saving in naira, sometimes I feel I am mad, but I think all things being equal I get better returns in the naira investment than hedging against inflation using dollar instruments.

Another point to note is that I blend my investments over the months, so I exchange my usd to ngn in varying rates which smoothes out some of the dollar appreciation over time.

Very very good, wish i saw this before coming here. To add to it, if you are new Inter bank and C6 might not open an account for you, because you dont have history in the country, stick with Nubank at first, after your crnm card is out, you can go on to open a traditional bank acct like Itau, bradesco and Santander

You can also apply for a Bilhete Unico metro card at Anghbau station close to Republica station with your Passport and Cpf, you will get it instantly.

Asking on behalf of a family member .

Do others find Stanbic asset management customer experience to be poor . We’ve been trying to setup an account for over a month now. Simple tasks like a name update take them weeks. Anyone know any tips to get a hold of them ?
from my experience, name change and account changes are usually handled on weekends, of course they will respond that they have received the email, but they don't work on it until weekend. Withdrawals usually happen same day.

investments are not with money you need immediately to survive. It is for money you intend to use to get more money. 200k on your 1 million may not sound like much, but the power of compounding over several years can work wonders

Good morning everyone, please can someone explain to me in "detail" what Stanbic money market fund is all about?
2. What is their interest rate?
3. Can I deposit a large sum in the account at once and leave it there OR do I have to be depositing the money bits by bits?
4. Can I also withdraw all my money or some part of it whenever I want?

Thank you so much.
StanbicIBTC Money market fund is a form of investment where you keep your money to beat the high inflation in Nigeia, that is, you get returns on the investment based on a set rate that changes according to the CBN monetary polic rate.

So in simpler terms, you deposit your money with Stanbic IBTC Assset managers and they help you grow your funds. it is a low risk investment because the MONEY MARKET MUTUAL FUNDS (emphasis on money market mutual funds), invests primarily on Tbills and govt bonds wich has very low chances of default except the Nigerian government does not exist anymore. There are other mutual fund investments that are medium and high risk, but as a beginner you are encouraged to stick to the money market mutual fund.

The current rate is currently about 20% (banks pay you about 6 % on your deposits if you leave your money in traditonal savings accounts).
You can do a minimum investment deposit of 5000 naira and up to a trillion grin.
You can choose to deposit your money in bits and bits if you so choose or in one lump sum.
yes, you can withdraw the money whenever you want, you have to submit a withdrawal request and the managers will effect in in 1 or 2 business working days back to the account you provided to them during your registration.

I encourage you to use my referral link to register and if you have any questions you can drop it hear.
