TadeDetule: Not the authorization form though I mean the consent form. They sent the list of documents to me and they listed the authorization form and consent letter in there. it was stated there that it must be signed at the ministry of foreign affairs and also notarized. I didn't exactly apply for ours through the embassy of Brazil in Nigeria. So you should carry on as they have requested. |

TadeDetule: Please how did you go about the letter of consent. Did you take it to ministry of foreign affairs it was notarised first, before taken to the embassy as part of the visa application documents |

What about the "valid date". Should that be his passport validity or the day's date. leave that for the embassy or federal police |

Travel › Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Obinnau(m): 6:32pm On May 17, 2024 |
untamed: Like someone mentioned, you have to consider your limitation date for traveling especially if you are flying Qatar. I advise people not to fly Qatar because they are very problematic. If you have already booked them, dress smart and get a doctor's report.
If you're flying any other airline, you'll be fine.
Once you get to Brazil, you don't have a problem. They are not concerned about you giving birth here as long as you have a valid visa. They usually do not ask questions but if they do it would be regarding your itinerary and accommodation.
Regarding hospitals, the difference between Private and Public hospitals is comfort really. In a private hospital, you get a room to yourself and it's more conducive than what you have in Public hospitals. The medical services are pretty much the same. This is not to say public hospitals are not conducive, they are but you get to share room with others.
In private hospitals, communication might be easier because you'll find English speaking doctors. You may find them in public hospitals too especially if it's a teaching hospital.
Regarding C-sections, the rumor is that private hospital easily opt for C-sections because it's easier and less time consuming. The truth is C-section is quite common in Brazil, I know some of us who have birthed here and most of us had C-section. The rule in Public hospitals is that if you are fine with no medical complications, they will not do C-section for you except you don't go into labor at 41 weeks. They also opt for C-section if you have been in labor for a long time. I experienced both. I also know ppl who had normal births in private hospital so it depends on your situation and also what you want. I totally agree with you about Qatar Air and their problems. The check-in officers almost put my wife in labour when they said she can not board. They said their policy is a no fly without MEDIF from 29 weeks, I argued it out with them and told them I would sue, because on their website it says 36 weeks at most with a medical certificate and not both. It turns out that the guys at the airport (not Nigeria) were operating on an old policy document. After 1 hour of back and forth and contacting Doha Airport, she was allowed to board. here is the policy for pregnant travel https://www.qatarairways.com/en/family/expectant-mothers.html |

IderadeAratumi: Thank you so much for your prompt response ma'am. Highly appreciated.
I am on insurance and don't want to be a burden to their health system by using a public hospital.
Please which hospitals do you suggest in Sao Paulo? I will weigh my options.
Do you also think I can start the process of booking a doctor's appointment after my arrival (although that would be 1 month to my Edd)?
I sincerely appreciate your time ma'am I think you need to put into perspective the limitation date for flying as a pregnant woman. Qatar almost didn't allow my wife board. |

In as much as I am a proponent of Airpeace, and other Nigerian airlines, they ought to understand that their base is Nigeria and Nigerians. Treating local fliers with impunity and disdain with regards to flight is not how to achieve a strong aviation control.
The consumer protection agencies have a role to play in holding them responsible and taxing them heavily for each individual passenger they disenfranchise. |

Monda April 15th: Initial visa application submitted (family of 3) Monday April 22nd: Embassy sent an email requesting an updated document Wednesday April 24th: Received interview email notification Thursday April 25th: Interviewed. Additional bank account balance requested from Nigeria. I and my wife were granted visas. Friday April 26th: Returned to get the visa for my daughter. (The minor travel authorization was not properly stamped by the notary public, initially)
I went for the interview alone. They wish to know about my research work, why I am going, where I am going, what I will be doing and about my family. Advise: Have a bank balance that covers the cost of the air tickets and accommodation. Embassy: North African Country
I was treated very courteously by the embassy staff.
Nigerians are normally given 3 months Visa, we got a full year of multiple entry. |

abdulwastecx: This is precast rib slab construction. I'm planning to start providing this service in Nigeria
It has lots of advantages like, it being cheaper, it's faster and it's as sound as the rigid slab normally adopted in Nigeria.
Also, you can achieve the required strength for the rib beams because they can be properly cured.
One major disadvantage is that its joints need to be properly designed especially for areas prone to seismic activities.
I hope you guys will patronize my smart_slab solution Have you started? |

Klare: The rejection was immediate and my passport was returned to me with rejection stamps.
The Consular wasn’t satisfied with some of my answers, we were delayed for so long like 3.5 hours while they were attending to others in our front like this.
Questions asked 1. Purpose of visit 2. Where do i intend to visit From my answers he pointed out that where i want to visit is trash and nothing fun is going on there and everyone he has interviewed that day has plans to visit there. 3.Did I pay anyone money for the visa purposes? I said no he objected then that most tourism companies that give invitation letter collect money for it and I clarified I paid for a tourism package to visit and participate in the tourist event. He wasn’t satisfied about this and feel I was lying that he knows no one gives invitation letters for free hence rejection.
Hot takes
1. DIY all the way don’t use a third party or agent.
2. Don’t use inactive accounts for pof and before you submit your pof documents print it go through it yourself and make sure no suspicious activity or transactions the embassy can misinterpret. Don’t just dump lump some in your account and print it’s raises eye brows.
3. Dress very well if you were ever invited for physical interview and go ready to answer every question possible.
4. Brazilians hate lies to the core, don’t lie during your interview.
5. No fake documents at all
6.Again don’t use agent, third party of any sort they are recipes of failure and visa rejections.
7. If you are ever called for physical interview your chances are very slim, go through your documents and know everything you submitted so you can defend it, they can make you very anxious during the interview and that will probably make you misyarn.
Shalom!! Thanks for your feedback. |

I do not remember the last time a convict was killed by hanging. It would not start with him. He would be committed to life in prison.
But, the question remains whether he will appeal the judgment or serve the time in Nigeria. Or would the Chinese government request for his extradition? He should serve his sentence here to serve as a deterrent to foreigners that treat their Nigerian workers like scum. |
