Hello Nairalanders, is DomainKing the same registrar as Namesilo?

I keep getting mails from Domainking to initiate a transfer of Domain from DomainKing to Namesilo.

I'm already on my way to register jamb this year.

course - Library and Information Sciences.
institution - University of Benin.

may God see me through.

but one thing gets me bothered an I wish I could share with u so u may give some soothing words of encouragement and dispel my fears..

my advance age (sad) I feel like it's gonna barricade me and end me in a mirage.[/qoute]

Commit your plans to God, trust him to bring you to an expected end!

thanks ma'am for the prompt feedback.

like Kingrex1 stated earlier that my passion could certainly go a long way in culminating me to the zenith of success in this profession. so I'll say YES I have this fervid enthusiasm for the course and my preeminent priority is to attain a first class degree... since the passion is burning inside of me then I guess I'm treading the right path to success in this field...

u also said something about PHD..
pls can u adumbrate on this PHD... how many years of research do u think I'll spend on this PHD studies?

Those library attendants and workers I used to see at my former institution's library, do they use Bsc and what's Their salary scale like?

lastly are u a librarian?
With dedication and a good supervisor 3 1/2 - 4yrs for PHD. ASSU Strike free

Those ones are library officers- depending on the level- Ond/HND are Junior staff. They can not make decision for the library, lecture students(on use of library and also teach potential librarians the course) They can not grow to the level of becoming a university librarian.

Librarian? Yes

I'll be 27 years this year and I'll opt for this year's jamb and chose library and information sciences.

though i dropped out from the university at the age of 20 in my third year ( due to health related issues)

ever since, I've been on self enterprise and hustling for survival but things ain't really working perfectly with the meagre stipends i earn.

I don't wanna get stranded in my 30's and it's always egregious and bizzare whenever I realize I don't have a Bsc at my age ( it's always depressing an keeps me in a state of despondency).

with my supportive parents by my side on this resilient mission.
I'll wanna opt for a career in the library cadre so I'm being compelled to ask and research for info about the course/profession.

is it really lucrative?

how much do they pay graduate librarians?

is it feasible that after graduation I could be retained as a graduate librarian in the institution I graduated from?

what's the feasibility of graduating with a first class? hope the course isn't voluminous and broad

lastly if I'm admitted this year by God's grace I'll be around 30/31 when I graduate and the ridiculous employment criterion that employers set as desiderata for employees hope it won't Dampen my chances cos I'll be 30 as a fresh graduate.

any librarian or guidance counselor or career forte adviser pls help me outta my apprehensiveness

thanks cos ya contributions would certainly go a long way in helping me out
Hi,

Do you have passion for the profession?

If you want to work with a university library in Nigeria as a graduate you MUST possess the following:

1) B.sc certificate
2) M.sc
3) Registered member of LCRN
4) publications

Also, plan to get your PHD

But with your B.sc you can work in law firms as their librarian, Media houses etc.
Some organizations like KPMG and research institutes ask for M.sc.

You mean for domain name? I don't think I know anyone but I will give you a little bit of my story maybe you will pick one or two things from it.

When I was about picking a domain name I made research and the summary is that the name must be:
-short, easy to remember and contain the keyword you will be blogging about. I followed this simple rule and I wrote down almost 40 names, the ones I like most have already been taken but eventually I secured one (the first word is a keyword in my niche and the other one is somehow not related at all e.g scholarship places dot come)

Then before I post any update I first Google the keywords and use keyword suggestions on Google. For instance if I see a headline that reads "scholarship in Libya" I will Google the headline and then copy related search terms (e.g "Available scholarship in Libya" ). Yes I reference my posts and I have seen instances where one website contacted me to remove the post which I did(but that post already gave me $23) within two days because it went viral. And lastly, knowing fully well that earning from Nigeria traffic is poor, only 1 of 4 of my posts are for Nigerians.
OK. Thanks

[quote author=idolda post=50772648]Daily page view (from my adsense account) is between 2,000-4,500. I don't use any form of paid promotions. I just copy and paste news related to my niche (my website is 2 words dot com with a keyword I'm targeting). What I do is that I monitor my Google analytics and observe those keywords that bring traffic and then find similar headlines and post. Also last month Hillary Clinton made a remark related to my keyword and I just composed some writeup on it and post and boom it's been bringing at least 250 daily visitors from Google and I ranked second on that particular statement she made. I have just 5,000 facebook fans and I share my posts on Facebook group once a day or once in 3 days. [/qupost]

Thanks for replying.
Do you reference the source of your post/news?
Can you give example of keywords relating to Family-living.
I'm still struggling with getting the right keywords for my blog.
Thanks again!

Created a forum in Dec 2014, started using adsense mid January this year and I make more than $100 per month. Last month earning was above $400 (my highest so far) and I already earned over $2,500 from mid January this year till date. Note I'm not using any trick and 99% of my posts are copy and paste.
Wow,
what is your daily pageview?
How do you get traffic?
Are you using Facebook ad, adword etc?

A good teacher won't count your criticism against the child. Just do it the right way. Not condescendingly and not too "begg-ily". Find a midpoint and keep on it until you see the change seek.

To all parents out there. Don't look down on your child's teacher even if she isn't doing what you expect.... she's really putting in great effort and you can help with encouraging words and providing some materials or books to support her.
Hi zaynie, how do we correct them- teachers when they make mistakes. For example writing " this" instead of "these", "his" for is"

Family5 Fun Activities To Do Together As A Married Couple by obioji(op): 10:18am On Sep 15, 2016
The two shall become one! These days, couples tend to live as if they are still single. The individuality in their marriages is so obvious that sometimes concerned family and friends are forced to ask if everything is well with their marriages. Your partner is you and you are your partner. I am not saying you should get stuck to
each other like bread and butter. You guys should have fun as a couple. Here are some activities you can do together as a couple.

Praying

It is advisable to pray with your partner as often as possible and not only when there is a crisis. Apart from getting answers to your prayers, you stand to gain a lot when you pray together. Praying together strengthens your relationship. A couple that prays together enjoys good communication between them. They do not bear grudges for too long. When they mad at each other, they tend to forgive each soon since they must pray together without grudges in their hearts.

Eating

While dating, you enjoyed date nights, eating out and just having fun. Now that you are married, you no longer make a conscious effort to indulge yourselves. Emotional or communication gap in marriage starts from eating alone, attending most social events alone, and before you know it the gap widens. Eating together is another avenue to spend time together. You surely will not eat with your enemy so why not make out time to eat with your loved one. You can both prepare the food together and eat. Once in a while, go out and eat, experiment by trying other cuisines. Spice up your marriage.

Exercising

Exercising together indicates that you care about each other’s look and health. Go to the gym together and sweat it out. If your partner is battling with keeping his/her weight in check, you can show support to your partner by exercising with him/her.

Planning

There is no limitation to what couples can achieve together if they plan together. Couples can plan together with regards to their individual and family goals. When you plan together you will not feel isolated or be in the dark about your partner’s dreams and aspirations. These days we see couples on live television that cannot tell what their partners’ career goals are. Start planning by preparing your family budget, choosing school for your kids and buying real estate together.

Sleeping

You may ask if sleeping together is fun. Yes it is. The bedroom is one place where couples are 100% themselves. There is no pretense in the bedroom. Couples that sleep together hardly keep secrets especially when they are always having pillow talks before sleeping. Sleeping together reduces your stress level and helps you fall asleep easily than when you sleep alone.

Bathing

One fun activity a couple should engage often in should be bathing together. Get cozy in the ambience of your partner's presence in the bathroom. You can be rest assured that your partner will relish this moment.

You may be thinking that doing all these activities will steal your “Me Time” but actually you can still enjoy your time alone when you go to the salon, on your way to work and when you attend religious gathering for married men or women. So enjoy your marriage and have fun as a couple.
