OP you made a strong points there. goin to school is not same thing as being educated. I am a living example on that. I dropped out of secondary school. thought myself photography, Cinematography and graphics design. today I've trained over 15 graduates and have 3 as employees. school is good but education is more important! |
Ani Obinna Factual is an actor and a multi media practitioner. He became popular when his pictures went viral as popular actor, Nonso Diobu’s twin brother. Several reports went viral that he was impersonating Nonso to scam his fans. In an exclusive chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Friday, June 27, 2014, during a courtesy visit , he opened up for the first time on the rumour alleging he was also a victim of the scammer. Can you tell us about yourself? I am Ani Obinna Factual. I am from Enugu State from a family of seven. I am an actor and into multimedia. People believe that you are Nonso Diobu’s look-alike? Yes, that’s what people say. When I look deeply into the mirror I know we have our differences. It all began in 2009. Someone approached me and said I resembled him. I went online, got his pictures and as a graphic person, I compared and contrasted and it seemed we were alike. People hardly differentiate the two of us. The pictures went viral online and became the talk of the town. Bloggers called us twins and some gossiped I was his missing brother. There was an allegation online that you have been using his pictures to scam his fans? It’s but what’s false about it is that I was also a victim of the impersonator. Let me brief you on how the issue began. When my pictures went viral, a lot of people became my fans on social media. Since I am into movie production, I decided to shoot a movie that would feature Nonso and I as look alike. I made some contacts but my effort to reach him was unfruitful. I decided to locate him on facebook but failed. However, a blogger wrote a story on Nonso having an issue with Tonto Dikeh. Someone responded with Nonso’s twitter account and I believed he was the real one. I followed him and he responded. He said my missing brother. The person called me and I was happy and we became friends as we chatted and spoke on phone. I told him about the movie and he decided to help out. The impersonator said I should help him out with phone configuration and customised SMS. I created an account for him. All these while we never met. Later, I told him how much he would collect for the movie. He said he will encourage me and just give him anything. I said I have N100,000. I just said it because I knew it sounded ridiculous for a professional like him. He said he will accept that. I was shocked but elated. I asked how would I get the script across to him. He said I should come to Anambra State. I was on my way to Abakaliki to shoot a movie. Thus, I decided to branch at his place so we could seal the movie deal. On getting to Anambra, I called but no response. I was about giving up when he called back that he was engaged and that I should come over to Awka. I went there but sadly, his phone became incommunicado. I was forced to lodge at a hotel. That was when I started suspecting foul play. The next day, he called and apologized that there was an emergency. Later, he called that he was stranded and couldn’t get a call card. I sent him N1,500 card. What nailed him was when he said I should lodge the N100,000 into his account and that he needed N100,000 because he was stranded. That was when I knew he was a scammer. I just asked how he was able to hack into Nonso’s account and he switched off the phone. Then he blocked me from all his social media. It was then a friend of mine sent me a link where it was reported that I have been using my pictures to scam Nonso’s fans. I saw the link and it was my picture. Only few would know it wasn’t Nonso. I was confused because the news was everywhere. It was then it dawned on me that the impersonator had been using my pictures too to defraud people. What happened was that during our relationship, he would ask me to send my pictures and he would use them on his twitter. In less than 10 minutes people commented thinking it was Nonso. I never knew he used those pictures to scam them. I was also a victim. Have you ever seen or met Nonso Diobu? No. I have not. It was my quest to meet him that has landed me into this mess. Have you complained to the police? I have not but after due consultation, I decided to clear my name and that’s why I am opening up for the first time. But we have concluded plans to inform the Police PPRO, Ngozi Braide about the issue. encomium.ng/i-never-impersonated-nonso-diobu-says-look-alike-ani-factual/

OSCAR PISTORIUS: 5 THINGS LADIES SHOULD LEARN FROM THE DEATH OF REEVA STEENKAMP Oscar Pistorius has denied the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp by shooting her through a locked lavatory door early on February 14 last year. He has said he believed she was an intruder and acted to protect himself and Steenkamp. The prosecution says he killed her deliberately after a row. Are there lessons ladies should learn from this incident? Here, I have attempted five lessons ladies should glean from that ugly incident. DO NOT TOLERATE VIOLENCE IN RELATIONSHIPS No woman should condone violence in relationships. Violence they say begets violence. Reeva is no longer alive to recount her experiences in the hands of Oscar, on the same hand Oscar is fighting hard to convince the world that Reeva was murdered in error. That is precisely what happens to most women in violent relationships. When they are murdered their partners cook up all sorts of stories to twist the arm of justice or get minimum sentence. So ladies, please do not stay in violent relationships. It doesn’t have to be as violent as Oscar’s. Violence in a relation includes slapping, kicking, shoving, pushing or the use of swear words on you. Never condone such in your relationship, don’t give any man the right to treat you like a piece of rag. HAVE AT LEAST ONE PERSON YOU ALWAYS TELL ABOUT YOUR WHEREABOUTS There’s need for you to have at least one person you tell about your movements especially when you are in a new relationship. Tell somebody your whereabouts; don’t always hide everything from everybody. Let somebody know when you are visiting your date. And tactically let your date know also that your friend or mother is aware that you are in his house. It may sound ridiculous, however, these are the little things that might save one’s life. DON’T ENGAGE IN HOT EXCHANGES WITH YOUR MAN When you are on a visit to your date and for whatever reason an argument ensues, be mindful of the way he sounds before you engage him. If you feel intimidated, excuse yourself and leave his house. Always make it abundantly clear to your man that you do not entertain violent behaviour. Don’t worry, you won’t lose him! NEVER ENGAGE YOUR MAN IN A FIGHT Please never engage your man in a fight for whatever reason. Please never! In the face of extreme provocation, kindly take a walk from the scene. I am not in any way saying Reeva fought Oscar, no! I just needed to add this point that engaging your man in a fisticuffs is never in your best interest. Please desist from that! FINAL POINT On a lighter note, if you cry almost every day in your relationship; sit down and ask yourself “am I dating a human being or a bulb of onion?” Goodmorning my lovely friends. God bless you and happy weekend. |

Rossikki: Actually they came to loot your resources. They were also banking that enough thick dunderheads like you would believe they came for the reasons you listed. You proved them right.you quoted everything I wrote except for one. why didn't your great grand fathers use those resources for something meaningful ? being a critic doesn't mean you can do better. you are here talking cos u are not unlucky to be borne during those stone/dark ages. I'm not saying Oyibos did us 100% good. but they did us more good than harm. the rails they built could not be maintained by ur government. the schools they built same thing, the hospitals and clinics they built in remote villages could not be well managed by your government.... |
Rossikki: You are the dumbest compound he-goat on this forum. Look at butt nak.ed, malnourished kids standing there, after a full 60 years of uninterrupted British rule of the country, a clear testament to the massive corruption of the British rulers and their utter and complete disregard for, and neglect of the citizenry, even as they exported resources worth countless billions in today's money year on year uninterrupted from 1897 up to that 1952. And you are THANKING them? THANKING them? I mean, some of you are definitely cursed to be dumb and stup.id wherever it concerns white people. I don't know what jazz the whites did on you people. Even when they are killing and strangling you, you profess love for them. Instead of you to thank your lucky stars for independence, and the consequent massive progress we've made under indigenous rule compared to this nasty, ugly image of colonial failure and neglect, you're talking illiterate nonsense "thanking" your "colonial masters"? The colonialists built not one university in the entire country in their 63 year rule. When they were driven out in 1960, our literacy rate was less than 8%. Today that figure stands at 74% thanks to indigenous rule, which saw the building of thousands of schools across the nation, plus 135 universities at last count. In other areas like infrastructure, health, etc, the story is the same, ie only after the colonialists left did we start to see reasonable development.you are a cursed hopeless pig. destined to be murdered your own wife. why won't I thank Oyibo? when they left their home country just to come to educate and bring us out of bondage and diseases. if your present government can do just half of what your colonial masters did, Nigeria would have become a paradise by now. how many new roads has the government build for the past 20 yrs. (I don't means rehabilitation) how many new schools have they constructed?? guy you simply an ingrate! nothing goes for nothing my brother. if they exported natural resourceful worth billions of Naira, why didn't. your great grand fathers use those to do something meaningful?? anu mpama! |
I can't stop thanking our colonial masters for bringing us out of darkness. |
mahn my experience about sleeping in the church should be the toughest and worse. I am a Jehovah's witness, so when I started newly, the whole thing looks boring and strange to me. so WHENEVER I come to church I must sleep. there was one day, I was deeply asleep that I even started dreaming. and as if they know of people like me, they make sure that each chair is far from another. so each time I try to lean on the chair before me it won't work. then I decided to distract myself by pinching my palm, but that wouldn't stop me from sleeping, I then upgraded to biting my finger, I didn't know when I bit myself so hard that I have to shout to the hearing of the whole congregation. I so ashamed that I wished the ground could open for me to enter. after that Sunday, I now changed my seat position to front. where there will be no chair for me to learn on. |
pls does any know the exact prize of power bike plate number?? |
God save us from this Enemies of humanity!! |
but why is it hard/impossible to talk about success without mentioning America 90% of the people mentioned here are Americans, does it mean that other countries don't have people that failed and later succeeded? or that they they don't record it ![]() Could it b that Africans dont really keep/have records? |
this is one topic I'd love to follow. I'm not fully an Atheist, but a free thinker for now. it's possible there is/are a/some supernatural being/s out there. but until they make themselves known one on one to me. I may wish to remain the way I am now. |
this is why I feel more happy and comfortable that I don't believe in Religion |
