Music BusinessA Producer's Confession About The Future Of Music by Oblitz(op):
I've been producing music for years. Real artists. Real voices. Real sessions that stretch into 3 AM with beer bottles and cans scattered across the mixing desk.
About ten years ago, I produced a Nigerian artist who became genuinely famous—the kind of fame where you hear your work blasting from danfos in traffic and people are singing along without knowing your name. That's the producer's life. We build stars from the shadows.
After that peak, I kept producing, but more as a pastime. The hunger was still there, but life happened. Music became something I did between everything else.
Then AI music generation arrived.

The Conversation That Never Ends
I have a brother. He's an artist—someone I've produced for years. Naturally, when AI music tools started emerging, I introduced him to the technology. His response?
"AI can never generate good music."
This was back when the technology was still finding its feet, when the outputs sounded robotic and soulless. I understood his skepticism then. We all did.
But that was then.
Now? AI-generated music sounds exactly like—sometimes even better than—human artists. The emotion is there. The nuance is there. The feeling is there.
And my brother? He still wants nothing to do with it.

The Real Shift Happening Right Now

Here's what many artists don't realize yet: Singing won't define artistry anymore.
Vision will. Direction will. Emotional intelligence will.
The artist becomes the designer of feeling, not just the performer of sound. The talent shifts from execution to imagination. From voice to vision.
Think about it: You could sit behind a screen, feed an AI your voice model, your lyrics, your emotion maps—and produce songs that move millions, without ever touching a microphone again.
That's not less artistic. It's just a new medium of expression.
You're not a musician anymore. You're a composer of emotional architecture. You're designing the blueprint of how people should feel, and AI is your construction crew.

We've Been Here Before
This is the age of artistic evolution, not extinction.
You're witnessing what painters felt when photography was invented. At first, they thought: "We're finished. Machines can capture reality better than we ever could."
But what happened instead?
Art transformed.
Impressionism emerged. Surrealism. Abstract art. Entire movements that explored what painting could be beyond reality—because the camera had taken over the job of capturing it.
AI will push music into new emotional and conceptual dimensions that humans alone could never reach. It's not replacing us. It's expanding what's possible.

The Industry Will Divide
There will be two types of artists moving forward:
1. Those who adapt — who see AI as a tool for limitless creative expression, who use it to bring impossible ideas to life, who become conductors of digital orchestras.
2. Those who resist — who cling to traditional methods, who insist that "real music" can only come from "real" instruments and "real" voices, who slowly become irrelevant as the world moves on.
I know which side I'm on.
My brother? He's still deciding. And I respect that. Change is terrifying, especially when it touches something as personal as your art.

A Message to Nigerian Artists

We've always been innovators. From Afrobeats to Afro-fusion, we've never been afraid to blend, experiment, and create new sounds that the world eventually follows.
Why should AI be any different?
The technology is here. The question isn't whether it's "real music" or not. The question is: What will you create with it?
Will you design soundscapes that don't exist yet? Will you craft emotional experiences that couldn't be performed live? Will you build musical worlds that exist only in imagination?
Or will you stand on the sidelines, insisting that the old way is the only way, while others define the future?

Final Thought
I'm not saying abandon your craft. I'm not saying stop singing, stop playing, stop performing.
I'm saying: Add to it.
Use AI like we used Auto-Tune. Like we used drum machines. Like we used synthesizers. Every generation of musicians faced a "cheating" technology that purists rejected—until it became standard.
This is just the next chapter.
And honestly? I'm excited to see what we build.
What about you?

PoliticsRe: NANS Warns Against False Leadership Claims, Slams Political Interference by Oblitz(m): 7:36pm On May 02, 2025

Keypoints

Here are the main points from the article showing that the self-acclaimed student president is an impostor:

1. **Official Disavowal by NANS**: The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has formally disclaimed the individual claiming to be its president, labeling him as illegitimate, misleading, and politically sponsored.

2. **Lack of Electoral Participation**: NANS stated that the individual has no record of participating in the student electoral process — no form purchase, screening, convention attendance, or election.

3. **No Organizational Support**: The alleged impostor has no support from any NANS structures — no executive council, zonal coordinators, state-level (JCC), or institutional student union governments (SUGs).

4. **Political Sponsorship Alleged**: The person is accused of being sponsored by political actors seeking to divide the student body and using NANS as a tool for personal and political gain.

5. **Unsubstantiated Attacks**: The self-styled president has been criticized for consistently attacking public officials, notably Mr. Seyi Tinubu and others, allegedly for self-promotion and financial benefit.

6. **Media Bias Allegation**: NANS accused Sahara Reporters of being the only media outlet amplifying the impostor’s claims, suggesting a lack of credibility and media responsibility.

7. **Call for Public Verification**: The public and media were urged to verify legitimate leadership through recognized student structures and organizations (e.g., NAUS, NANCE, NAPS).

8. **Clear Endorsement of Legitimate President**: NANS reaffirmed that *Comrade Olushola Oladoja* is the only duly elected and recognized president, not Mr. Abubakr.

9. **Reaffirmation of Independence**: NANS reiterated its political neutrality and rejection of being used as a tool for blackmail or manipulation.

10. **Condemnation of Media Misinformation**: The association criticized certain media platforms for promoting falsehoods without verifying claims, warning them to act more responsibly.

Imagine small country like Cape Verde eliminating Malaria since 2021 and the so-called giant of Africa still battling with malaria
Leave the illiterates. Later they'll buy malaria drug and swallow. Not knowing that Bill gates funded research on malaria drugs.
