Some people talk from info gotten via secondary sources a or what was gotten online... And we all know bad news sticks just as fast as good news.

Like I said talking from experience the ride is a breeze, as long as it's maintained and proper fluids, most especially the transmission fluid changed as at when due, with specific CVT oil in this case genuine Nissan NS2. A little pricey for 4litres then at 12k. I hear it's double that now-don't know yet till am ready to change again. (I do my CVT fluid changes myself.. Complete flush . Did I mention that a murano is also more fuel efficient than a conventional auto transmission with same engine displacement and body style? The CVT was actually developed with fuel efficiency in mind.

Asides that the engine is a good one and mine has not dropped me anywhere and it's about 4 years old on naija soil as at today. It's an 04 model and still drives on same original engine and CVT it came with. No other modifications have been done. Meaning the car and all settings are still ex factory standard.... Even the ac still as chilly too.

To answer your question straight up... It's not cheap per say @ 800k. Na 1m plus you want make Dem sell am ni? but I think I know why.. The murano is still as sexy and looks far more valuable than stated sale price...

Will state also that some offered for sale might actually be defective ie bad CVT, abused engine or both. Hence you might get it ridiculously cheap cuz you would have to change the gear and or engine as the case may be. Sometimes what some think is a gear issue might end up being a camshaft position sensor turned bad. I know cuz it has happened to me. A 5k replacement sensor I got solved the issue. And oh yes a 10 spanner

Some times the stigma (as OP stated caused by ignorance) is enuf for one to drop the price and not necessarily a defect as the ride would be on sale for so long and owner keeps dropping sales value.


Good thinking when going to buy a naija used murano it's best going with a seasoned tech who Owns one, has driven and or worked on same to avoid stories that touch. A test drive is a must. And yes you might want to avoid the 03 models if possible.

Mine would be blasting from Enugu to Lagos in no distant time from now. I just might open a tread on how the journey went...

Having used an 04 model and still in use with same engine and gear with trips from Lagos to enugu when the need arises and over 180k miles I would say the murano is quite a reliable car. The key to prolonged use is adherence to stated fluids and maintenance schedules.

Just saying "a big photocopy machine" is vague. What we should be looking at is how much power the copier uses to start and run.

Take a look at the back of the machine and there would be a tag with power ratings. Same goes for the desktop computer. The total power consumption can then be used to get the appropriate generator that can power the gadgets .

It's also a a good idea and best practice to get a generator that will have some extra power to spare as well after the basic power required.

Note that more modern copiers require less power to start and run than some older copiers. All these and more have to be considered also in your acquisition of a copier.

400,000 can get you any registered vehicle. All you have to do is take due diligence. Ultimately it's your money and you are gonna be the one driving it and spending on it after purchase .

Beware of scammers and also note that due to your budget the ride you would and might be getting is one that might have been abused or one that you might have to do some repairs and or respray to your taste.

And yea the model year would also most possibly be older.

When going to buy and since you are concerned about fuel consumption be on the lookout for cars with small displacement engines eg 1.8litre, 1.6litre, 1.5 litres and even 1.1 dey sef.

BMW 3 series
Opel vectra
Nissan sunny
Nissan micra
Toyota starlet etc

All should be in the 90s model.

Like I said observe due diligence and have a TRUSTED and knowledgeable mechanic that inspect with you.
