Wanted to post this here before I took out to a techo to have It fixed. As they say...who ask questions no dey miss road! >

I would want to be informed and well "armed"with knowledge as I do not want a trial by error by some of these "kazeem" techos we have by the road side.

My frisky 2yr old splashed water on the tv screen some time back and since then the screen has this bar of no visual. (see pics)

I have since gotten anoda tv but would love to have this fixed as a backup for use in another room or sell it off after fixing.

So please has anyone had this kinda issue!? How and where did you fix. Cost? Time?

Buy deep cell battery. They are quite different from "normal" trailer battery

Some one I know here on nairalanf had 100ah battery to sell at 18k or so.

Cheap I must say. They are almost brand new.

Authorities of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), have described as unfortunate and a great loss, the sad demise of Miss Maria Modupe Atere, a 300-level student in the Department of Plant Physiology and Crop Production, College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT) of the University.

According to a statement by Mrs Emi Alawode, Head of the University’s Directorate of Public Relations released today, the 22-year-old student was on a commercial motorcycle when she was knocked down by a car, along the Camp-Alabata road, around the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA) gate, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

However, Alawode noted that contrary to what she described as unfounded allegations of negligence made by some individuals against the University, “Atere was never brought to the University Health Centre for treatment, hence, no doctor had the opportunity to quickly examine her and arrive at a decision on the most appropriate form of medical treatment.” Nevertheless, she stated, the University ambulance was despatched to the private clinic at Camp, when a request was made.

She added: “ When the sad incident occurred, some Good Samaritans brought two unidentified victims of the accident to a private clinic at Camp. Miss Atere was later discovered to be one of them. She was given first aid treatment before being referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, for better medical attention due to the severity of the injuries sustained. Unfortunately, she passed on.”

Meanwhile, the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Oyewole, has approved the immediate constitution of a committee to investigate the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident.
The statement partly reads: “Management sympathises very deeply with family members and the entire University community, praying that the infinite God grants everyone the much needed fortitude to bear this really painful loss.”

I dey go ibadan....she say fuel scarce for abeokuta.. I also heard its scarce at osun state..is that not why am asking the question in the first place? Neway..u have answered my question sef so park well jare.

I was supposed to travel from Enugu to Ibadan on wednesday only for my sister based at Abeokuta call me to make sure I carry along extra fuel enough for the trip back as there was scarcity in the west

Dont despair..there are people in banking today that will tell you I no be bank dem no fit work elsewhere.

Worked aa banker for 6years. Was a teller then was transfered to the transactions/transfer desk.

It was not easy seriously.. as a teller I think i must have paid upto 100k total at different times due to shortages

The work schedule.is crazy. Sometimes if the vault is not balanced we dont go home till 9pm. Of course we resume work at 7.30am.


Had to move to transactions cuz being ashmatic dusty notes counting took a toll on.me. Thats another story

At my new duty post it was another kettle of fish..that gist would come later..
