if you know your intentions are real and that you would love and respect her for real, then there is nothing wrong in that but i don't know know how she would take it. for me, when one of my brother's friends asked me out i turned him down in a polite way because i was not comfortable with dating my brother's friend, my excuse was that i also see him as my brother cos he and my brother are very close. BUT i have these two friends ( sisters ) they both dated their elder brother's friends and it really went well and both of them are getting married soon to the guys in question, so i guess it depends on you and your friends sister. Another of my brother's friend is also asking me out presently and he is a cool guy, so i may consider dating him. |

@ Poster 10years is a very long time, i believe in a way, she ( the elder sister ) has moved on with her own life too, and like you said there was no s3x, so the talk should be easier to handle. love has a way of putting us in a tight corner, but its only a test of time There is no big deal in it. like RANOSCKY said for the sake of respect to the elder sister ( bearing in mind that she is your future sister in-law ) both of you would have to sit with her and talk. btw, how would you date a girl for some time to the point of wanting to marry her, yet the siblings never knew who she was dating even if they have never met you ( maybe becos of distance ) but they should have heard of your name several times from her the elder sister would have known then that its you, so that it would not come as a surprise to her when you say marriage ( just my thought sha ) i dated my ex for some time and everybody in my house knew him, or heard of his name, even my siblings that were never in d country already knew the name before seeing the person.( penny for my thought ) |

Tell your friend if he wants to die quick before the time God ordained for him he should go and hug a transformer, its a faster way to die than blood covenant with a girl. not when there is no light, he should make sure that there is PHCN, if he wants it faster, he should do it when rain is falling or better still pour water on himself and then hug the transformer. mtcheeeew. 7years with no job and so what is he the first ?? how has he been surviving before now |

@ poster i know the proper thing to do is act matured, but some times some childish things come in handy to help us in some situations now since being matured with her is not working do the childish one if your present GF is in your house, and your EX calls you that she wants to come over, tell her to come that there is no problem when she gets to your house, possibly open the door wearing just a boxer act like you and your present GF were in the middle of the love making or just finished ( put up that attitude of s3x that she use to know, when you guys were dating ) then when she sees your present girl friend feeling all comfortable in your house, and you guys playing all the lovy lovy in her presence introduce them by stressing MY GF to her. and stress the EX when talking to your present GF. trust me she would never bother coming to your place again cos the pain of seeing another person enjoy what she use to enjoy will not let her come. BUT b4 you do this pls make sure your present Gf is the understanding type and you have already told her about your EX else you are OYO or una go wear one leg of trouser oh. |

DapoBear:NO, its not so similar, people only think that they are because Akwa Ibom was cut out of Cross River and we share boundary with them, we have a good knowledge of their culture and so do they have of our's but its different it may surprise you to know that some of them actually hate the Efiks, and some of them actually claim to be Efiks but i think its also common in other parts of Nigeria. that is why my twin specified by saying please am not talking about Akwa Ibom/ Ibibio turn Efik oh am talking about the proper Efik gentle men, regardless of where they live. their way of life and culture is certainly not the same. |
