The days where the loudest voices in Nigeria media were those of men with no moral integrity and values are gone!!! I finally made a personal decision not to read or listen to anything coming out of FFK’s mouth after he degenerated so low to affirm Mrs. Jonathan’s characterization of General Buhari as “Brain-dead”. I believed that was a defining moment for FFK to have stood his ground for what was morally right irrespective it was Mrs. Jonathan who paid his salary. I disagree with my Boss sometimes, and over 90% of the time retrospectively, my position ends up being the best decision at the time. We must learn to say and stand for what is right no matter the odds. This is integrity. This is what FFK failed to show Nigerians. Nigerian media should no longer give a space for persons like Femi Fani-Kayode. Eloquence without integrity is empty, and Nigerians should no longer give their ears to his likes. I watched the video clip from media gathering in Abuja where Doyin Okupe was stomping, shouting at the top of his lungs that Buhari will NEVER win an election in Nigeria!!! Gladly the presidential election is over, and Buhari is now president-elect. Femi Fani-Kayode and Doyin Okupe should disappear from the Nigerian media after May 29, 2015. They should go and retire quietly and maybe address their cases with EFCC. Nigerians are getting wiser and stronger. Just because you talk fluently and/or speak loudly doesn’t mean your words are right for our ears and our nation. We shall no longer be deceived. I honestly pray for Buhari to choose men of Integrity in his administration. Nigerians deserve better. |
When I read about the corrupt practices in Nigerian government and when I go home and see these young fellas I’ve known become politicians and the next moment they’re building Duplexes and starting hotel businesses, I wonder what gold mine we have in government; a gold mine that make fast millionaires. No wonder the private sector keeps losing its threshold. Everyone wants to be a politician today in Nigeria, and they’ll kill to get there. . . . Do you want to be a politician? |
I am begining to like this biblical debate between Queensmith and Chiteny. Guys can we have an online bible study? .lol |
@poster. . . If you cannot deal with her inevitable westernization, then i suggest u wed her in 9ja in leave her there. Forget all the talk about "chauvinism, trust and security". Na all those grammer dem dey use hoodwink person. The sad sob stories are becoming and if u dont wish 2 open a sob thread here in 2-3 years, then use your brain and not your heart. A woman changes faster than a man and what she was ten years ago is definitly not what she is now. Their priorities constantly change based on their "feelings" and they suffer from an incurable greener pasture syndrome. An old friend of mine now looks years older after bringing his 8 yr relatnshp sweet heart 2 the US and right now, they are engaged in a messy divorce after she filed 2 months after giving birth. Evidently he's gonna lose the house to her coz he's in the "NO FAULT STATE" where he stands no chance in court. The painful part is he just got the house before bringing her over. So much for "love, trust and security". Dont let all these feminazi's decieve you. Dem know themselves. Use your brain and think 10-20 yrs from now and not giddy feelings that fizzle out within 1-3 years. Wish you the best. This is deep, so sad for your friend and all the regrets he'll have to face for bringing his wife to teh US. What's wrong with all this women? Ofcourse I do not know what caused the divorce, but it's so sad to see this quandary becoming a trend. . . . |
People dont change- its others that ignore the signs that are to blame. Since he lived in america through all those years that changes the story entirely, he cant really know her that much except for the 2 years they were together. I pity the woman that decided to date a man in another continent for soo log!Queensmith, you might have good point embeded in your last post, but i kindly disagree with the opinion that people do not change. I have seen guys and girls gone wild, and totally separated from the principles and virtue they once held high. Divorce isn't abrupt, but begins with a gradual departure from principles spouses once held high. It's hard to tell my friend "go for it" when i know he struggles with this decision. . . |
A FReakING "DECADE" THATS 10YEARS!!! YOUR FRIEND SHOULD KNOW HIS WOMAN BY NOW. Not asking strangersPeople are susceptible to change. Although they've been close for close to a decade, he lived eight of those years in America while she was in Nigeria. It is practical and realistic to have some room for doubt and uncertainty in such situation. |
for your information it,s already happening in nigeria, where u have many chinese flooding the market with their cheap products and doing retail at the same time, while their embassy deny the nigerian business men visa from bringing the same products. pathetic! Not only in Nigeria, but the chinese are seizing the market in the West also. The United states is currently indebted and borrowed billions of dollars from china. |
If everyone is taxed and pay their taxes then there will be no need for all these We vs You stuff going on.Well spoken |

Right, i guess? My friends situation doesn't predicate mine, but there is a trend here to be observed about marriage that transit over to the US/UK. A huge percentage doesn't last and it's not easy to advice someone to go home and pick a girl for marriage. Also about this friend, this were two beautuful christian couples while in Nigeria, but when they came over here, she changed and they ended up with a divorce. @Mrs Eve, i think submission is a key element in marriage. Submission not slavishness is important. |
This is a critical decision and i know the outcomes are unpredictable, but I'm sure if there ever be true love in the relationship (I'm sure there is since it has lasted for a decade) it would outlast any statistics of marital failure in reference to failures associated with bringing one's wife from Africa to the West. I know many men who've regretted ever bringing their wives/fiancees over to the West. |
My friend, Steven asked for my opinion on his future marriage. Please let me know your thoughts. "I am deeply worried about a decision I will soon be making about marriage. We both have been in this relationship for over a decade now, and I recently proposed to marry her. But i am now worried about the future consequences of this decision. She is in Nigeria and I'll have to bring her here. Years ago I watched my friend do thesame thing, but when his wife arrived the US, she changed, no longer submissive, arrogant and traded her identity for peasant american relationships. I am concerned about the future of my decision (sad face)." |
Wow, I'm very curious to know how this will end. I assume Mr Olisa wouldn't place charges against Mr Uba. With giant politicians currently coming from Anambra, I'm not sure if Andy Uba, or PDP Chairman Nwodo runs the show in Anambra. . . . |
Dr Peter Odili was a man so close to being at the helm of Nigerian politics during the 2007 PDP Presidential nomination. As the past Governor of Rivers state, his accomplishments are rather debatable, but i believe he did more good work than bad--certainly only few Rivers indigenes could agree with me. I am curious to know what he's busying himself with, another Presidential aspiration from his side wouldn't be disapointing although GoodLuck Jonathan perfectly satisfies the need for a Niger Delta Presidential candidate in 2011. . . |
Sanusi is a Financial expert and a man of great integrity. In my opinion, the NASS shouldn't gulp as much as 15% of FG's overheard cost not to assume the contested 25%. The Senators should just chill and seek for cost saving measures in their branch of government. . . . |
