Am in love with ibibio. Stop talking trash,Igbo's don't bear same name or have same cultures with Akwa ibimites,at least not my side |

Nuff said there is a diff between eke idemili and eke ogba, eke ogba can swallow people and eke idemili is harmless,we kill eke ogba whenever we site it |

I noticed anytime a pic of South east is posted on Nairaland, they pick one or two brown roofs and start saying "I thought there is no brown roof in the south east", truth is that the whole brown roof in Igboland is not even up to one street in Ibadan |

My Igbo mum also discourages us from bringing Yoruba wives, most of them form Respect to get something from you when you stop giving them, The Respect is gone
I can't even imagine myself with a Yoruba woman, instead I go for akwa ibom or Delta, During my years of stay in Lagos,I learnt a lot about this people called Yoruba
They can be unhygienic, they can't cook without too much oil,I don't wanna die of cholesterol, Their mouth sharp die,can insult for African
And giving birth their body disfigures, looking like "iyami l'eko"
even after marriage, they see no wrong in having Ale,boyfriends
I had this neighbour, the husband knows the wife has a boyfriend and the wife too knows the husband has a girlfriend too, what a tribe |

Isiokpukpu: Yea, we are brothers. According to what i heard while growing up but i don't know how true it is, they lost on their way home from hunting and settle over there. Infact when my uncle wanted to marry from Ihembosi my family had to trace her ancestral lineage to avoid him marrying his own sister. We share some names of the villages i mentioned in my earlier post and some of our markets and theirs bear the same name. Are you from Ihembosi, maybe you can tell me your own side of the story No,am not from there I noticed the "Mbosi" in there,so I asked |

Mbosi is made up of 10 villages, namely: Agwunnaga, Ogwugwuekwe, Umuezike, Ubahu-Nnaka, Ezikulu, Ubahu-Mbosi, Umudarigwe, Umueze, Enugwu-na-Umuzu, and Umuazu. Mbosi is the home of Air peace and century Electronics. Mbosi murum ekelekwam unuoo, Ihiala idu nuoo, Omambala mma mma nuoo. Are you people related to Ihembosi in ekwusigo LGA? |

Egun is Yoruba just like ondo, ekiti, ijebu and others... egun is very different from yoruba oo,they are also in Benin republic,I know many eegun, though they don't find it difficult in learning Yoruba, most like claiming they are Yoruba when they feel like But truth is they are not yorubas |

scholes0: Not the coral beads, but the way those people used it specifically. The head gear and the shoulder shawl made from beads is a tangible cultural element of Bini/Edo copyright. it still doesn't prove anything, the igbos didn't copy it from the bini, the white men who brought it to bini also brought to Igboland |

macof: lmao. it's because in Yoruba language "madam" and mummy are called with the same word "Iya"
I dont get why she took offense by being called "madam" tho ..some people have serious problems. .it's not a yoruba thing even the Yoruba students amongst were surprised,i agree it's not a Yoruba thing because we had other yoruba staffs we called Madam and they never took it personal |
Career › Re: My Lebanese Boss Promises To Sack Me When Next I Bend Or Try To Collect His Bag by oboy3(m): 8:36am On Nov 03, 2016 |
it's Yoruba mentality, they love it too much, I remember the secondary school years, the owner of the school is an igbo woman, she instructed us to always call all female staff "Madam" while the male are "Sir" fast-forward to the day of waec, one Yoruba external invigilator came, somebody tried to call her attention "Madam",she then became furious cursing in Yoruba, blah blah blah, call me mummy not madam, I am old enough to be ur mother blah blah blah, I am not igbo etc, it was another thing that day, For me I can't ever call anyone who is not my mother Mummy, it doesn't make sense
Even the primary I went a deeper woman owns it, I never really did wrap my head around why we called her "School mummy"
like somebody said, salutation is never love, Yoruba think that lying in the mud to greet somebody is respect,i am sorry to burst your bubble, it's not
you can force a child who hates you to prostrate to you but fact is he will still hate u afterwards |
