EducationRe: Most Nigerian Students In Ghanaian Universities Are Serial JAMB Failures by Obrafour(m): 11:18am On Nov 06, 2013
Mr Aboki: Mr. Obrafour

What is Baptist University Colleges ranking in the world?
What of in Africa?!
or West Africa?!
Of even in Ghana?

Thats how you know Universities that are not yet up to par. Thats why they have to hide under bigger Universities like KNUST & Legon to award degrees in the name of affiliation.

Maybe in another 20 years they would be better than they are now, but why would any serious student use his education to play ludo when he can just go to any of the already recognized and established schools?

This is a no brainer.
Mr. Aboki, by law any degree awarding institution must have a legislative instrument recognising it.
IPS(institute of Prefessional studies) until last year was affiliated to the University of Ghana(albeit beign a Government university).
Any student attending university in Ghana and has College attached to the name of his/her institution means it does not award degrees autonomously.
The mushrooming of colleges in Ghana is as a result of the many students who were rejected by the public universities. This meant that grades which were accepted to gain admission to a course four years ago, are no longer valid. Indeed, this year the pass mark has been increased again.
The Public universities have finacial backing from government unlike the Private ones, a college like Baptist college might be offering only course for its students. Don't forget, lecturers of colleges are part time tutors from the public universites.
CultureRe: 10 Striking Differences Between Nigeria And Ghana by Obrafour(m):
7. Road Block System
Ckariam: I wish to state here that Ghana police
also like stopping cars with Nigeria
plate numbers a lot just to find fault, or
frustrate and extort.
Stop exagerrating, the Ghana Police has a policy of scrutunising all foreign numbered plates after 6pm (ask the Togolese, Ivoirians and the Burkinabes if they are treated differently), you can also ask those young Ghanaian boys who have not registered their number plates for their experience with the Police.

8. Gas used in frying Akara or Kose

Ckariam: Nigeria supplies gas to Ghana via the West African gas pipe line project and Ghana uses it to generate electricity and also fry Akara or Kose.
The country cannot rely on Nigeria for stable and adequate supply of gas for thermal power generation, Mr. Kirk Koffi, a Deputy Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (VRA) has said.
Current gas supply of 70million cubic feet per day from Nigeria via the West African Gas Pipeline for thermal power generation is 50 million cubic feet short
of the contractual volume of 120million
cubic feet per day.

This has meant that only the
200megawatts gas-reliant Asogli
thermal plant and just one other plant in VRA’s portfolio run on gas.
“The future for us is to depend on our own gas. We cannot 100% depend on them [Nigeria].
The future is to get this
gas from Ghana and to have Liquefied
Natural Gas (LNG) and invest in LNG
infrastructure; that’s what we are
looking at. The future is to get that
massive infrastructure in this country to help drive thermal generation to drive the economy. The levels [of gas from the fields in the country] are high.”

The Ghana National Gas Company
(GNGC) is currently constructing a
pipeline to transport gas from the
Jubilee Field to the gas processing plant at Atuabo in the Western Region.
The company is also constructing a
transmission line from the processing
plant to Takoradi to transport processed gas to the thermal power plants at Aboadze.
The GNGC has said that the project will
hopefully be completed by the first
quarter of next year.
The completion of the gas project is
expected to significantly reduce the
amount the VRA spend on the purchase
of crude oil for thermal power
generation.

Mr Aboki: Half baked universities ful Ghana
I tried posting the Total number of universities in Ghana and the Nairaland Spambot banned me. check them out;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_universities_in_Ghana

I attended Kwameh Nkrumah University of Science and Tech. Its not 'Half Baked' in any way shape or form. Someone who attended Ghana Baptist University College and me no be mate. That school is not even sitting on up to 1.5 polt of land.
Bros I beg stop exagerrating, your WAEC grade that helped you gained admission to KNUST yesterday will not help you/someone gain admission to the same institution today or tomorrow. Inorder to meet limited vacancy challenges, the grading system is raised higher. In such a case does it make sense to re-write your WAEC just to be in an elite school?
Plot of landhuh? What will be your response if graduates from 0xford, Cambridge, NYU among others say TECH is backyard simply because their
Universities had an extended plot of land?

Did you care to find out the number of courses offered at that college? (Baptist University)

Former lovebirds Eazzy and Ketita no
longer have a thing for each other. The
two have decided to express their dislike for each other in silent yet
communicative ways.
news: Keitta, who on face value appeared more in love when the two were together, seems to have quickly moved on, and has gone ahead to un-follow his former miss on the Twitter, a gesturethat clearly speaks for itself.
Of his over 12,500 followers on Twitter,
Keitta follows just two people, his senior brother Reggie Rockstone included. Eazzy made a third person when they were dating.
Although both are yet to go public on
the reasons responsible for their split,
public opinion, especially from persons
close to them, suggests it’s all over.
