The Kew Royal Botanic Gardens

You can enjoy the beautiful Kew Royal Botanic Gardens along the southern edge of the River Thames. This region between Kew and Richmond is world-renowned for the rich landscapes, greenhouses, and gardens. The Kew Gardens began under Lord Capel. Princess Augusta was the one who later directed the full development of the Kew Gardens.

Covering more than 1,200 hectares, the Kew Gardens are renowned for their varied and blended areas. The named garden areas include the Azalea Garden, Bamboo Garden, Colour Spectrum, Rose Garden, and Secluded Garden. But you’ll also want to see the natural wonders of the Bee Garden, Compost Heap, Gravel Pit, and Stag Beetle Loggery. The latter is a beautiful natural structure along in the southern area where stag beetles are bred. A primary purpose of the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens is to provide research and instruction about garden habitats.

The Sea Life London Aquarium

If you want to add a little bit of adventure to your nature experience, you can visit the Sea Life London Aquarium in the London County Hall. There are all kinds of interesting displays and themed areas at this aquarium with approximately 2,000,000 liters of water. In addition to a huge collection of sea creatures, there’s plenty of interactive activities available, especially for children. There are opportunities to get right up close to some of these sea creatures, including sharks. In fact, you can even take a little snorkeling briefing before joining the sharks in the water.

Leicester Square

If you’re interested in the social entertainment scene, then Leicester Square should be on your list of sites to experience. Few travelers can discuss such entertainment scenes without praising Leicester Square. There are a variety of famous cinemas here.
