Bloombrandi: Hello house. I just got building approval from Ogun state government for my 3-bedroom bungalow house in one of the estates at Mowe.
I need a trustworthy, reliable builder that lives within. I will provide the building plan and you'll give me a quote.
I don't have money to build at once. I will build at my pace. So I need someone that's experienced and does not live too far away from Mowe.
A recommendation of a suitable builder in the thread will also be appreciated. Congratulations, bro. Do you mind sharing the process through which you got your building plan approval, as well as the cost implication? If you are not comfortable sharing this online, I would appreciate if we can connect on whatsapp. Also, did you have to get any local government stacking/building permit from Obafemi-owode LGA? As for your request, please reach out to Engr Shola on 080-643-873-69. He will bring your architectural plan to life |

Richtaiwo: Govt should prioritize decisive action over public optics. While visits by senior officials may convey concern, they are unlikely to add substantial investigative value. The immediate focus should be on deploying trained forensic and investigative personnel to obtain evidence and conduct structured interviews with the families of the victims. This would enable the collection of actionable intelligence through properly targeted questioning.
Such efforts can be carried out effectively without extensive media attention. Publicized visits accompanied by cameras and photo opportunities often appear more symbolic than operational, serving public perception more than the investigative process. AI response |

brownemmanuel43: Sometimes, it doesn't end well sir. Unless u hv small experience in that field, anyting aside that, u are only jeopardizing ur shop or kiosk. Remember welding materials are involved too e.g. electro. Electro meant for 2mm shouldn't be used in 5mm and when u go through this ur route, believe me, d welder will use electro for 2mm in doing 5mm work for u Lol...this is wrong. You will also buy the required electrodes the welder will use as well. Even buy cutting and grinding discs for him as well. You are basically buying all the material inputs for the job. Depending on your negotiation with him, you could even provide generator for him too. Despite all these, final cost will be cheaper for you and you are sure of the materials used. I have mentioned the emboldened twice now. You may not understand until a welder builds something with inferior materials for you Also, transport cost will even be cheaper for you because it is easier and cheaper to transport and handle the iron pipes and sheets required to build a gate, for example, than to move the finished gate. |

sleekflow: So, my woman wants to open another Shawarma spot, and I went to meet a welder to construct something nice. He quoted 450k to replicate the image below. I mean brand new.
Then, I came across the post. How much for this used kiosk, I dey see 1.7M. As how na ? Used go kan cost pass new ? I begin dey hear say na customized kiosk. Wetin concern me with that one ?
I think you are right about the land coming with it. That's the only possible and tenable explanation 🤣 Welding works na black market o...unless you specify the materials the welder will use, there is 99% chance that he will use inferior materials for you. My advise to you is to take your welder to a particular welded kiosk you like and want, take permission from the owner and tell your welder to list out the materials and quantity used to build that kiosk. Then go to a shop where the materials are sold, buy them and tell the welder to charge you for labour. I used this method to build a one-storey tank stand and 5 security external doors. I saved about 20% from the turn-key price i was charged by welders and I am 1000% sure of the quality of the materials |

10yrs plus Stand-alone concrete stand usually works fine when it is done for a bungalow. The risk of failure and bending increases when it is for a storey building. I have seen several tank stand done for a storey building that is already tilting to one side. Iron tank stand still remains the best. |

Omayie: 270k Good deal That house is an old house. Solidly built with spacious rooms and compound for people to park cars and for kids to play and build memories. Lagos-like people will soon buy it, split it into 2 or even 4, selling each as half plot or quarter plot, build tiny houses without any car parks in them and expect tenants to park on the street and cause inconveniences to each other. Forgive my rant, my boss. The set of chairs you advertised are really lovely and good for the price |

YModulosGodSon: I see some popular names on this thread simply passing by and advertising their wares without chipping in on the issue between Qhalifah and Letloveheal. It’s totally inappropriate; if you are a reputable member of this thread, kindly speak up in this matter.
If there had been a loss of life or grave injury to life while the phone was being stolen, I can assure you that Qhalifah would still be behind bars right now, simply for making a purchase on NL…same NL where we all make transactions
By making himself unreachable on hearing about the case , Letloveheal has proven to be utterly irresponsible and should be blacklisted. His explanations hold no weight whatsoever.
The case is now closed and there’s no need for him to go to the police station anymore but I’ll say it again for emphasis, if there has been death or grievous injury during the theft of the phone, an innocent NLer may be in jail for the rest of his life….that’s how serious this matter is!!! The emboldened! Deep! Very deep! I am sincerely happy for Qhalifah that it didnt get to that level The least LetLoveHeal2 can do is to refund him the money that he spent to free himself and close the case. I really hope we can all prevail on him to do the right thing Nairalanders, I don dey fear una ooo |

Calibrator: Let us be pragmatic. Nobody in his position whether guilty or not, will willingly walk into the police station for this kind of stuff. The buyer has already closed the case with the police, even if the seller goes to the station, he will be out in less than two hours depending on how fast he can come up with 50k bail or less because as far as the police are concerned, this is now a closed case since the buyer has already done the needful to compensate the victim of the theft. What is left now should be how to compensate the buyer for the expenses incurred in the closure of the theft case. Let's be pragmatic once again. Solid points you put forth, bro. Totally agree. Qhalifah, do you have documented evidences of the payments you made at the station and compensations you made to the real owner the phone was stolen from? Perhaps, we can prevail on LetLoveHeal2 to compensate you for some or half of it since he also got commissions from the sale of the phone too. He shared in the gains, it is only proper for him to share in the pains too. |
Properties › Re: My New Borehole Pumps Out Dirty Water First, Before Clean Water. Help! by odimbannamdi(m): 6:37pm On Feb 23 |
Audu2008: I have been carefully going through all the comments and I must say as an experienced borehole driller that more than half of the people commenting here have no clue of what they are talking about. 1. If you said the borehole is not deep enough you are one of them. 2. If you said the borehole drillers didn't do a good job you are also one of those. 3. If you said it was because the owner wasn't around you should shut up 4. If you said the borehole contractor should come back and fix the problem then you don't have an idea of what the problem is.
In fact Sir there is no problem. What you are experiencing is perfectly normal with some new boreholes. Some borehole take just 30 minutes to become clean, some take 4 hours while some take two weeks to a month to become clean especially in areas with alot of clay soil.
But once in a while, a new borehole which took only 30 minutes to 4 hours to flush or become clean will later change color and in some cases in Lagos Nigeria start producing foul odour.
This is when everyone around you becames a borehole expert when you tell them about the problem and the first thing they will tell you is that it's not deep enough. Another group of those people will advise you to do another one while suggesting the have someone who can do a better job but all these people are just talking through their ass.
I want to thank the truly genuine People here who said it will stop with time if you keep flushing the borehole for 10 minutes before you direct it to the tank.
They are telling you the truth. No two boreholes are the same. The fact that you did your borehole once and it was alright did not mean all borehole would be like that. Also, because you got good water at 120 meters does not mean all boreholes have to be the same depths, even on the same piece of land. And finally those of you who think when your borehole have issues the next thing to do is to start fighting the contractor, well good luck to you but that is the absolute wrong way to approach issues. And finally finally to the op, I say just keep flushing the water for 10 minutes before you pump the water into the tank because with time it become fine but note that half of those here wants to pour fuel into your fire and the rest wants to take advantage of the situation to make money from you. Only a few people here know what the heck the are talking about.
Thank you. Hello sir, can you drill a borehole around Mowe, Ogun state? |

shortgun: Reading through the thread I see alot of ignorant people saying things they know nothing about. Dear Op,I've been drilling boreholes for more than 20years. You need to conduct a water quality analysis; that's the only way to tell why your water is not clear. I'll also advise you stop making use of the water for now cos there's a chance the discoloration may be caused by harmful substances. I can help solve your problem whenever I am in the east. Hello sir, please can you recommend a borehole driller around Mowe axis? |

Nnamdipapa: Cars are more expensive in Nigeria though due to high importation costs as we mostly import everything. We still have a long way to go as a nation and I believe we all have a role to play if we want a functioning country for the future generations.
Also, I agree our politicians are mostly clueless and we continually have to hold them accountable instead of sucking up to them. Funny how you evaded the valid points that AdvancedDNA put forth and fell back to blaming our leaders even after praising them indirectly. You believe all these things are cheap because you have more purchasing power and disposable income. A bricklayer/mason man in Lagos suburbs earn 10k per day of hard work and the labourer that works with the bricklayer earns 7,500 per day. Now, remove the cost of their transport to and from the site, remove the cost of their feeding while at site, and remove the prorated cost of their house rent per day, remove the cost to feed their family for the day. Remove prorated daily schoole fees cost, etc. I doubt the bricklayer will have up to 1k at the end of the day. Now, do the same for an average person in Canada. I believe you are getting the picture. It is always funny when you folks over there or returning diasporans do these baseless and unfounded comparisons, without first factoring the minimum wage and the percentages the various living cost elements take from the minimum wage for both countries. It is always very funny. That is why our leaders dont take us serious You be my namesake, but I go tell you true |
