patrickmuf: True to self, he did...Guess what, he brought out a post where I criticised the amount quoted for Dier...Lol...
What was Etikite stats again in the same Buli? How much did Liverpool pay?
When it comes to United, even a player's religion is questioned no thanks to fans like him... See ehn. Let them just sign good players. I just hope Amorim knows what he's doing. |

patrickmuf: At first, you said it was a disgrace that Sesko was considering whether to join us or Newcastle and not about the amount but now he has opted to sign for us, you have started talking about the amount we spent.
What exactly is your problem? Are you pained that the club is strengthening key positions?
What other alternative will you have us sign since you think Sesko is too expensive, Jackson?
Well, I expect you to complain when Baleba is signed. He go soon dig your post. |

I think odizeey once said Kone reminded him of Pogba and was attacked for that comments.. I'm not sure I said so sha. Pogba is one of one. Jamiu can dig sha. Today is his off day at work. |

Hmmmmm!! No wonder my phone just dey hot. Person dey search through my posts since Monday. 🤣 Your problem is that you have half and incomplete understanding of things. And I've always told you. The context was transfers. Woodward and his cohorts gave outrageous wages and overpaid for players making us finding it out to sell players or buy new ones (we can do what others can't do in the transfer market). |

afrodoc2: That is where good scouting and negotiation comes in. Many of us are mentioning Baleba because he the obvious quality midfielder that we see regular. We all have our own jobs to do and families to feed but the club actually employs people whose whole job is to scout for players or negotiate deals. Those are the ones who should either get an affordable Baleba alternative or negotiate Baleba's fee down. Well, that's true sha. Brighton will not agree sha. They won't beat down the price to anything reasonable. |

spillo1: Which is why I am amused by those talking about needing a midfielder over a striker. Maybe they have forgotten the Europa League final, a game we dominated and still lost because we couldn't score. Our biggest issue is clearly a lack of goals, not midfield control. Even when we control games, we couldn't score. Just look at the matches at the end of last season, especially the ones we dominated and still ended up losing, including that final. I also feel we need a striker more than a midfielder. We bought Cunha and Mbeumo but they are not CFs, even if they are good attackers. A good striker will ice the cake on our attack. If they can't get a striker, let them get a good midfielder sha. |

Jamiuokolaa: Oga, it is embarrassing that an Uknown Slovenian with a hyper-inflated price tag from Leipzig has put us in "pending" mode because Newcastle has shown interest.
We say we should go for players that are genuinely interested in Joining, yet we dey enter queue dey wait for overpriced Benjamin Sesko to decide between us and Newcastle.
If you are happy and proud of the recent developments, goodluck! Better wake up from that your slumber. First of all, Sesko is not unknown. Are you now beginning to agree that the board is incompetent? |

Leyqute: Smart.
We can even put out feelers that we’re willing to pay 100m so that Newcastle will up their bid. Then we’ll make a U-turn and walk away from the deal.
Na so City do for us when we bought Sanchez. Even Antony too, I think. I swear. Their eyes go peel |

Oasis007: ......we shouldn't go ahead with Sesko deal. Amorim should work on the formation he used against Everton with few changes in the lineup. Right. They should call it off. That's how they will sell their liabilities to us but will run away when we want to sell ours. |

Oasis007:

......we are hawking our so called world class players like Agege bread. Chelsea find it no hard to selling their players, same as some other club except my darling club.
We can’t buy anymore player(s) without selling the outcasts. Garnacho ain't wanna leave England, he prefers Chelsea while the Club wanna till last day of the window before making the offer of £30m. LOL!
Same with Sancho and Antony, Juve and Betis wanna wait until we have no choice that to sell them for ridiculous amount.
Left to me, I will rather see them playing for reserve team than selling them cheaply. This should serve as a lesson to the management in future dealings. |

patrickmuf: I am just tired of some folks here. That other dude keeps posting our opening fixtures as if the rest of us don't have access to the internet.
Imagine him mentioning Leon and Heaven among the players we have acquired just to push a silly narrative...Leon and Heaven are for the future, Amorim has gone about addressing some of the problem areas with the signings so far but we all agree we need a goalie, DM and a CF to really stand a chance...Some might even argue that we can make do with a DM and CM and make do with what we have in attack.
Let us see if the club can fill these positions with quality players before we start panicking. It's just tiring seeing so many narratives. I really hope we can get that CM before transfer deadline. |

He is right if that makes him fell good about himself Baba dey argue like say he gets beef with you before Them say we dey look reason 75 million for sesko. Newcastle drop 80 million and you say you can't compare them with city. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 11:32am On Aug 03, 2025 |
dreamxhaser: What are you saying? I know you from somewhere?
That guy I quoted didn't get the point the other guy was trying to make.
He claims Man United has fallen so bad that we are dragging players with the likes of Newcastle. Then the other guy explained to him that they have the money now, aside from FFP, that keeps them in check.
Then he went further to use City as an example. When the Arabs bought City, it was a mid-table club at most. But because they had the funds, they were able to beat other clubs at signing players and even took Tevez from Man United, which was the biggest club in England then.
Now what are you on about? Or did you just quote me for argument's sake? They like arguments and claim they are the smartest people. City signing players didn't mean United fell but Newcastle bidding for sesko alongside United means United has fallen? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 11:29am On Aug 03, 2025 |
adisaaowala: And the point is that the Newcastle comparison to city is moot and bereft of logic and deductive reasoning - same as your posts...
City, with the backing of the Arabs were literally outbidding everyone and offering ridiculous wages...
Comparing them to the current magpies is just shallow and poor So Man City signing players like Lescoth and Aguero back then meant big clubs like United and Chelsea fell right? |
