Jamiuokolaa: You have further made my point for me..
If Man Utd - a club that was arguably neck on neck with Madrid in terms of reputation and clout at some point, is now being compared to Mancity's "early oil money mugu days" it just further buttresses the downward slope that I highlighted. Which point? Read and understand the post. I'm comparing Man City and Newcastle. Not Man City and Man United. Guess agenda won't let you see it. By the way, we dragged with Madrid for Yoro last season. Tomorrow you'll blame coach for this downward slope you are seeing. |

Jamiuokolaa: In addition to agreeing to pay Broke Brendford a fee that could well be in excess of 70m pounds, Mbuemo needed extra convincing before he joined us ahead of Newcastle and Spurs
My position was quite clear - if a player is deliberating between Joining Man utd and Newcastle, it's a clear reminder that the mighty has fallen!
If we are at a point where extra persuasion is needed before a player chooses us ahead of Newcastle, Spurs and the likes, its a further testament to the depths to which the club has sunk.
Sesko potentially becoming the 3rd player to allegedly reject us in one Transfer window, is another issue entirely. Hopefully, it wouldnt get to that stage.
It is what it is!! You don forget say Newcastle don hold bar. See wetyn you dey talk. When Man City was busy dragging players during their early oil money days, did it mean any mighty fell? You think other top clubs didn't try to sign Lescoth, Aguero etc? They even collected Tevez from us. |

afrodoc2: Fans wanting to see him play is secondary to his development. That is the point. Insisting on seeing him play when he might not be ready to bang with adult players consistently seems selfish to me. This guy was a scrawny African kid just a year ago. Let the nutritionists and physical therapists build him up first. He is not Diego Leone who looks like either a middleweight boxer or a mob enforcer. Kone has the potential but if the coaching staff who see him every day decide to be patient with him, we should respect that a bit.
P.S Staking your claim in preseason starts from training and the gym room that the coaches see every day. This is what they consider before giving people minutes. This is why some academy players make the initial preseason list on week 1 but do not make the final list for the tour. That midfield is still very dicey and if from training and the gym Amorim and his people decide that he is not ready yet, then the most important thing is for Amorim to use these minutes to rotate his 4-5 options until he is sure which of them will start against Arsenal. I believe Kone will make his appearance this preseason, but it can't be at the detriment of the 1st team selection process. Same thought as "let the coach come out and talk if they are not giving him players" Like say him never tell them? |

lekkie073: that would have been better.
If this team doesnt do well, be sure it is as a result of Bruno's misplaced forward passes whose accuracy seems to be less than 35%. He is a pure definition of ineffectiveness. It's the coach o. Bruno can't be blamed for the team's failure. If Bruno is a problem he should use someone else. What I saw today was an eye sore |

If Bruno, Mbeumo, Cunha, Hojlund, Amad and Mount contribute at least 10 goals each, we’d have a much better season. Right. |

TrebleChamp: I think Amorim is the one pushing for the signing of Mbeumo, cos i don't understand why the club is focus on him and not looking elsewhere. patrickmuf: You think you are making sense, right?
You sign a manager because you see him doing well at another club...He played a certain way, and that is what attracted you, but when he arrives, instead of giving him the resources he needs to deliver and begin to tell him stories...Are you not incompetent?
If the board you so love to defend are not incompetent, why did they opt for Amorim, who favours a 3-5-2 formation instead of a coach who plays 4-3-3?
If can't see that the board is to be blamed in all of these then, I can't help you nor can anyone here. I've resigned from this argument. It's just a waste of time. |

patrickmuf: Standards? Is that not what Amorim is trying to set?
The likes of Rashford and Garnacho who feel they're too big to play for the team have been shown the door but the problem here is that the management won't back the manager in the market. The majority of the current crop of players don't not possess the right mentality and have refused to step up. You know say you no sign Pep or Ferguson but you want him to bring out the best in washed up players. Even if Pep comes here today, he go first clear out like half of the squad in one window. |
