Now, take a census of the tribe of those who'd comment on this thread, you'd see Yorubas would hardly bother about it, and that is because IT IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS.

Let a similar situation occur somewhere in Yorubaland and you'd see these people who tend to always know more about Yoruba business, THAN YORUBAS THEMSELVES, flood the thread with their nauseating bile.

It's a shame how they've made Lagos state their PRIMARY occupation in life, and Ambode whom they hated with so much passion, their newly adopted god.

Sucks to be them. smiley
Lol. These are national issues, its about ending godfatherism. Yoruba and narrow tribal reasoning

2 years into AMBODE'S 1st term, I noticed the absence of public health from hospitals to maternity centers, quality infrastructures, social services, housing and so on, in his mind, bus stops and laybys are more important to Lagosians and he shouldn't pay attention to the master-plan and blue print given to him by his predecessors.

Sadly, lagosians going thorough the sad and painful effects of this deviation from bad roads to poor sanitation.

Why didn't you say it that time. That's the problem

Obviously, Nnewi has being abandoned by two successive governors (Willie obiano and peter Obi).
Both of which used Nnewi for partisan politics were roads instead of being constructed are barely maintained.
All the residential axis have no road , he just went and snapped nkwo nnewi market, I can't even see bank road here.
Willie is indeed working but obviously not in Nnewi.
Datz just the truth.
Nnewi must take over aftet Willie. It seems to be the only way things get done. Nsukkas and Ngwas did same

and you think Onitsha will be waiting for Nnewi for good 20 years? I have never really considered Nnewi as a city but, I know it can be developed into something more dignifying as a city within 5 years if Obiano starts work in Nnewi now.
Gbam. Only if obiano start working. The number of individual houses is not enough

This is picture of electronics and plumbing market. And d shopping mall.. For people talking trash about Nnewi. Tell us ur town lets compare..

5 years now Obiano is yet to build even a single road in Nnewi.

Nnewi is obe of the fastest growing city hate it or love it.. Nnewi will be built up like onitsha in d next 20 years with or without government help.

Almost every 3 nepa pole u will find construction work going on with industries springing up
Government must be part of development or else it results in disorder. Why is obiano not building nnewi? Do you know that all roads in Nsukka now have sidewalks?

You have representatives in the state house of Assembly, Federal house of Assembly and you also have state governors, what's stopping them from asking for the independence of your state.

A Igbo man called nnamdi azikwe vehemently rejected a secession clause in the Nigeria constitution
Lol. Afonjas are very dumb. Who gives a fvck about zik. Do you think we follow one person like cows the way you do?

What Onitsha and Awka indigenes speak is not what is called Anambra dialect, and certainly not what Nwodo speaks.
Same is applicable to Ogbaru dialect. Many of my Enugu and Imo friends don't understand things Osita Osadebey say in his songs. Ogbaru can be nasalized. They also use "Wa" for they.
Onitsha say " raa Mmili" for "nuo Mmili" and uses "Je ga" for "jee".
Those are certainly not what other Igbos know as "Anambra dialect".

What Igbos know as Anambra dialect is what is spoken in mainly Idemili/Dunukofia/Oyi/Anaocha/Njikoka.
Listen to Bob Emmanuel udokwu( Ogidi Idemili) ,.Amaechi Muonagor (Obosi Idemili) or Pete Edochie (Nteje Oyi) speak in Nigerian movies. And see what Anambra dialect sounds like.
It's very light, uses "fa" for they, uses 'i"( pronounced as "yi"wink for "gi". Hardly uses "Sh" sound.

It's definitely not Awka /Nnewi /Aguata /Orumba etc dialects. Those dialects can be heavy and some like Ekwulobia and Umunze are highly nasalized as well.
Thank you sir. We in enugu will use whichever dialect seem easiest to understand by the audience. The very light anambra dilect is best suited for informal situations. Tell your people that it does not confer superiority in any way

Igbo capital my arsse. Who care where meetings are hold. You can keep your dialect and capital and you can even keep your Igbo but you cant mess with the Omanbala spirit in every Anambra person. The Omanbala pride is unmatched!
Enugu is the capital of igboland - OUK 2018. You must go there for meeting and your schools must read igbo textbooks written imo/abia igbo izugbe.

Anambra people have rejected it by conducting other programs in Anambra Igbo on ABS and with time Ndi Anambra will create our own Igbo using Onicha -Idenmili axis Igbo. Enough with that crappy Imo /Abia Igbo.
Lol. Life must be hard for average Anambra man. Everbody recognise enugu as igbo capital but it hurts ananbra. Everybody uses imo/abia igbo izugbe for official purposes but Anambra is hurt. I have even acknowledged your dialect as the widespread street dialect but that's not enough for you

Dont be smart by half, what is spoken in Onicha , Idenmili and Ogbaru cosmopolitan is what we call Anambra dialect. Its a combination of of different Anambra dialects majorly from Onicha ,Idenmili,Ogbaru , Njikoka, Dunukofia and Omanbala river towns. As you go south there are changes but most vocabulary remain the same.

As for Enugu people, 99% of them speak Anambra dialect including Nwodo, Bianca,Nwobodo, Chime and even you but I dont expect you to admit it. Yes, 99% Enugu people say ife, welu, chelu, mmili and what have you. I have been amongst Enugu guys and every gaddem one speaks Anambra, again, including yourself....Stop lying for goodness sake. Anambra dialect is smooth and silky, it rolls out from the tongue easily. No need to deny whats undeniable. I have heard Nwodo speak, Nnamani speak , Nwobodo speak and they never said ashi m'(meaning I said in Enugu dialect) ,rather asi m' in Anambra dialect. Awka speak Anambra dialect with the "v" factor.

And to be frank, I dont know what the ramblings about inner city roads and class is all about. Who doesnt have inner city roads, you are maintaining an already existing road network that were done by previous administration and you call that class! I dont want to insult Enugu people because I r
espect them but you guys have been stagnant in development.
You should keep a low profile because we have not seen anything transformational from you guys.
Anambra has no classy inner city roads. We got class. Onitsha roads are still carrying over 30 year old asphalt while obiano wasted all Anambra money on mgbidi jericho just to have something to chestbeat about. Please spare us the dialect crap and face the topic

Onicha is doing very well both in infrastructure and economy. The same Onicha houses and made thousands of Igbo billionaires...Onicha bu ala na azu nwa. No, we don't only have class , we created it , nurtured and regulates it. I can throw names of Ndi Anambra both old and modern from Zik, Ekwueme, Osita Chidoka and Kingsley Muoghalu who exude class but what have you. Anambra is multifaceted.
I
I am not here to insult Ndi Enugu but you need to be silenced. You can never tell a person is from Enugu until they say so because they speak Anambra dialects. Celestine Ukwu, Mike Ejeagha Paulson Kalu are examples of people who didn't live in Anambra but speaks Anambra dialect.

Anambra dialect is the dielect of the street and commerce. Imo dialect is used in official situations and for writing. This does not mean any of the other dialects are inferior, its just for convinience. But dialects and success of Anambra indigenes is not the point. You spoilt everything you inherited in onitsha but whenever we do well you claim it was inherited. No, you just lack class

To confirm that Enugu is a worthless state, this functional Presidential hotel in PH was built the same time with the Presidential hotel enugu but today the one in Enugu is dead including Nike lake hotel. Enugu mall is virtually empty with businesses closing down daily. The airport the state inherited from the eastern region is dead. Everything these hopeless Enugu illiterates touches dies. PDP is the most useless and dangerous weapon of mass destruction created by man after nuclear weapons.

They traded ability to think for a man who cares only for himself and his family of senators, iya olojas etc.
