U started again with your ignoramus analysis, actually APC didn't do their work very hard hence the Adeleke to pull that number of votes.

Ambode isn't defecting, his good understanding and relationship with the presidency may yield him something good now or next year, he may be appointed as the finance minister if he resign now as correctly stated by someone here.

Pls don't get Ambode infected with the bad luck.
But why are yorubas afraid of failing? There's nothing bad in failing, but there is something bad in not trying to a conclusive end

Zik had his own struggles. The regions were limited in power, they were quasi regions, as they all had white governor general who they reported to. Compare it to the quasi Federal system we practice today, where almost everything is controlled by those who run Abuja.
The constitution then, the McPherson constitution was rigged against the indigenous people by British, the regions were powerless. Rather than resign to fate and say that the constitution can't be fought against, like IPOB are doing today. Zik got involved in the government, launched a frontal attack on those parliament members in the East who were feeding fat from the current constitution then, paralyzed the government and won, replaced them with his own henchmen, and held the British at the jugular, forcing them to re negotiate the McPherson constitution.

The end result was that the almighty Britain had to review the McPherson constitution and replaced it with the lyttleton constitution, which granted more powers to the regions. Notice that Zik ultimate goal was Independence, yet he was in 1950 fighting for more power to be granted to the regions. He fought it in tiny bits, watering down the British influence gradually and patiently, before going for the real deal.

You see, Zik met similar problems we are dealing with today.
1. Strong oppressor (British)
2. Internal collaborators who wish to retain the system for their selfish interests ( the politicians)
3. An unfavorable constitution.

How did he go about surmounting these obstacles?
He secured the home front first, by going after the number 2. Once that was done, the rest fell in place.

Anyone who seek to liberate Ndiigbo today, must first tackle the number 2, ie our current political jobbers and office holders. There is no two ways about this.

Igboland was balkanized for the first time in 1938 by Bernard Bourdillion, who took Western Igboland and joined to Lagos colony(SW) to form western region.

So you see, Zik also had to deal with the issue of balkanization of Igboland. But he focused more on uniting us all under one political party and ideology under NCNC, working closely with Dennis Osadebey, and it was only a matter of time before we pulled Western Igbo out of Western region, and created a Midwestern region for them. If Nzeogwu and co didn't mess things up, it was also a matter of time before the East merged with Anioma.

So you see, instead of crying over British cunning game of diving to conquer us, Zik wielded political solidarity as a veritable tool, to unify us and rendered the regional lines, redundant. This is what IPOB ought to be doing, and not crying over SS.

If we have a unified political system and party totally controlled by Ndiigbo, manned by highly intellectually radicalized Igbos who are patriotic to the Pan Igbo agenda, holding atleast 90% of all elective posts in the entire Igbo speaking areas from Anioma to upland Igboid Rivers. I assure you the geo political boundaries would be the least of our headaches, they would be rendered redundant, and would naturally fall on their own.

Good ideas, but everything starts with getting involved in the political process of the SE, toppling our current crop of political jobbers who are comfortable with the current oppressive system and who are feeding fat off the current state of things, while the masses suffers.

I totally agree with you in everything but i think SE being a constitutionally recognized entity remain our next step. Zik easily overthrew the compromised regional govt but now if you try it everybody will recoil to their states and tell you to face your state. Some started it against kanu

Thank you for seeing what i have always complained about. She(Ngozievergreen) and her partner(odogwu123) are the reason i always appear here as a troublemake whereas i am a pure gentleman.

Inyinyakpaoku(Ngozievergreen) is only against Gad/Eri simply because it originated from Anambra. Nothing more. I have not seen this sort of inferiority complex. Wetin dey pepper them?

All they do here from dusk to dawn is say anything to subtly attack Anambra people. Thank you for observing this.

Everything is opportunity for you to chest beat about anambra. FYI Arodi son of Gad can be linked with Arondizogu (imo) arochukwu (abia) alor (anambra) alor-uno, alor-agu, umualor (enugu)

Zik was able to seize leadership because he had constitutionally recognised region. With the already balkanized igboland, it may not be easy. Ekwueme did great by the emergence of geo-political zones. Gradually these zones are getting recognition. Our work now is how to make the zone recognised by constitution (restructuring). Then an igbowide grassroot political revolution can occur. As for igbos outside the region, they will be naturally attracted to us by the time we start getting things right plus they will not like to be minorities in the newly empowered region. A move for boundary adjustment will ensue. After that, international alliance for outright secession

Well. They say that hindsight is 20/20.
Below in my humble opinion are Nnamdi Kanu mistakes.

1. He failed to realize the importance of seizing political control of SE, before going gung-ho on the imperial FG.
As much as Zik hated the British and her colonial suppression and oppression of Igboland, he recognized the importance of seizing the political control of the East from the then British loyal politicians of the East like Eyo Ita , AC Nwapa, Eni Njoku, Okoi Arikpo.
He unseated these British loyal politicians of the East who for selfish interests, didn't want to see the British colonial reign come to end and implanted in their place, his own henchmen who worked with him to end the British reign.
The best way to destroy any entity is often from within, through compromise.
How could Nnamdi Kanu have all the Youth of SE at his beck and call, and refuse to deploy such power in seizing the political control of the SE from the current Pro One Nigeria political office holders in SE?
That was his first fatal mistake, and the Caliphate realized this, and so moved quick to join ranks with the Igbo political class (enemies within) who feared Kanu rise and who also for their own selfish interests want the continual existence of Ndiigbo within the Nigerian entity , to topple and crush him.
This is lesson for the future Igbo leader.
Lesson1: The internal potential collaborators to the external enemies, must first and foremost be rendered powerless. You must seize absolute control( political and otherwise) of the home front, before you can challenge an external power.
Kanu and IPOB decision to stay away from the political power process (elections) in the East, would permanently ensure their mission remain furtile. This is the bitter truth.

2. I would keep this second mistake for only Igbo audience.

Enugu generates more in IGR than Anambra every year and many of Anambra's richest sons live in Enugu. How can Nnewi be a far bigger economy than Enugu? And while you can criticize the governors of Abia for example, or Imo, Ugwuanyi and before him, Sullivan Chime, were working governors for Enugu. I mean, I went to UNN a few months ago to collect my degree cert, and I couldn't recognize the place with the sweet roads (with pavements, proper drainages and culverts, street lighting etc) from Opi to Nsukka.

Chino, change your ways. You're making this an ugly forum for many Igbos and you make us look bad to outsiders. I mean it sincerely.
Obiano's roads last less than one month and always very ugky with poor finishing. Sullivan used arab contractors, Ugwuanyi uses RCC but anambra uses village contractors

Let a similar situation occur somewhere in Yorubaland and you'd see these people who tend to always know more about Yoruba business, THAN YORUBAS THEMSELVES, flood the thread with their nauseating bile.

It's a shame how they've made Lagos state their PRIMARY occupation in life, and Ambode whom they hated with so much passion, their newly adopted god.

Sucks to be them. smiley
