Zambian Man Allegedly Commits Suicide After Severely Beating His Wife To Death - PHOTOS

We received reports that a Zambian businessman identified as Steven Yamba, aged 44 allegedly committed suicide after beating his wife Kangwa Mwango to death.

Following some marital dispute between the both of them, Kangwa aged 33 years was severely beaten up by the husband and died on the 25th of December 2021 around 9am in the morning while the husband was on his way taking her to the hospital.

According reports, Yamba started beating his wife around 7:pm on Christmas Eve for some reason not disclosed. He severely beat his wife through to the early hours of Christmas Day until he noticed that she was beginning to die and she was no longer responding.

When Yamba took his lifeless wife to the hospital, the doctors at UTH after checking some issues confirmed that the wife is dead.

A 400-level student of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Mechanical Engineering has been accused of defiling and impregnating a 14-year old girl.

CRIME: Landlord's Son Kills Tenant Over House Rent Issues With His Dad - Arrested

Early today, we received reports that the son of a landlord identified as Samuel Omojola murdered one of his father's tenant in Ondo state.

It was said that the dead tenant was in a fight with Samuel's father because of some house rent issues so the fight made samuel react. This happened at Oke-Ijebu, in Akure, the state capital.

Zamfara Officials Planned My Kidnap, I Slept In The Rain For 2 Days Without Food - Niger Commissioner Explains

Commissioner of education in Niger state, Mohammed Idris Sani has shared his experience with his abductors when he was kidnapped.

It could be recalled that the commissioner was kidnapped on Monday in his home while he was with his wife and children. The abductors attacked both his wife and children then took him away demanding for a ransom of N200million.

Making his reports and sharing his experience after been released on Thursday, he said he was forced to sleep under the rain for two days before they ever thought of shielding him due to the cold.

He said;

“I went through a lot of trials in their hands, a lot of dehumanizing things. It is not an experience that I will pray for my greatest enemy. It was dehumanizing, humiliating and degrading”.

Sani explained that it started like this;

“They picked me from my house after breaking all the doors. They took me to a no man’s land in the middle of nowhere. I was there exposed to the rains for 48 hours with neither food nor water given to me, with my hands and legs tied.”

"Instead of them breaking me, I started breaking them. They started giving me bread and water, they untied me and they began to show concern. They gave me the trampoline they used to cover themselves when they sleep and allowed me to use it to cover myself in the rains.''

However, he made further reports that he was the only abductee as the abductors described his case as a high-profile kidnap and told him that they were sent by some government officials from Zamfara state to take him.

The sexual assault allegation levelled against popular Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka, has taken another turn as the child’s foster mother, comedienne, Princess, has released fresh evidence against the embattled actor.

On Wednesday, Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, was arraigned before Magistrate Peter Nwaka on charges of rape, sexual assault and abuse of a minor.

Magistrate Nwaka, however, refused the actor’s fresh bail application on the ground that the Lagos State Ministry of Justice had filed charges before a High Court.

In a turn of events, Princess took to her verified Instagram account to release some damning evidence against Baba Ijesha.

The comedienne, in a series of posts, shared a recording of Baba Ijesha, alleging that while in police custody, he instructed his group members to spread false information.

In the voice note shared, Baba Ijesha was heard saying, “When something happens to someone that has a name, one must tread carefully so that the matter will die down. If you keep answering her, the matter will not die down. After she said this, she cannot say another thing tomorrow. She cannot go to social media again because they have banned everything.

“You people should not fret; all of you should just keep doing publicity for me but act as if you do not know me. Share messages; I know you know how to write inspirational articles. Just say that we do not know the truth yet but Baba Ijesha will still come out by himself. That is all you need to say. Apply wisdom in all you do.”

The comedienne further shared some messages she got from a lady who identified herself as Makinwa Elizabeth. The young lady told Princess that she works as Baba Ijesha’s secretary and also the admin for Baba Ijesha WhatsApp group.

In the voice note, she claimed that she and her sister were almost victims of the embattled actor.

Elizabeth was heard saying, “My name is Makinwa Elizabeth. I am Baba Ijesha’s worker; his secretary and the group admin. Seriously, as I am chatting with you, I am in tears. To be honest, at first, I was against you. To be frank with you I was against you because I thought you were trying to form some things against him. But I am disappointed. I know you are not lying. When you levelled the allegation against him, I knew you were not lying because Baba Ijesha is a flirt. But I thought what you said seven years ago was not real. We are all disappointed in the group we belong to.

“I understand your pain and I feel your pain. I have been uncomfortable ever since I watched that video. We, members of the group, went to him and asked him for the truth, but this man lied. You will be surprised about the lie that he told us.
“Please, do not be angry at me. Seriously, I know what you are saying. He has done this thing to me before; apart from harassing me, he did it to my blood sister. It has not been up to six months ago. God saved her.

“Please don’t be angry; the whole group is sorry. The lie was just too much. He told us that both of you were once together. I went to meet him and asked that ‘Oga, is this thing real?’ I know he is a flirt because we work with him and we go around with him. When we go to a movie location, he can abandon us there. He did it to me as well but it is a long story. I did not know that he could do something like that. He lied to us.”

Elizabeth further claimed that ever since the allegation of sexual assault was made public, members of the groups had reached out to her to share their experience.

She said, “Those people are not telling me but because of this incident, they are now telling me as the admin. They are now recounting a lot of things in the group. Different people have been calling me to tell me what he did to them. They did not tell me before now, although we talk to him, he hardly listens because he is our boss. Even his senior colleagues have been advising him but he did not listen.”

One Abayomi Kamaldeen Alaka (aka Aside) has been arrested by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly performing a fake 'juju' scam in a shrine at Ashipa Town, near Abeokuta Ogun state.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested Abayomi Kamaldeen Alaka (a.k.a Awise), leader of alleged deadly syndicate of ‘juju’ scammers that operates from a shrine at Ashipa Town, near Abeokuta Ogun State.

According to the EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, he said the arrest of Awise followed a petition by a victim, Bright Juliet who lost N250m to the syndicate after she was tricked to provide money for sacrifices and invocations to heal her of an ailment.

Juliet was introduced to Alaka by one Akinola Bukola Augustina (a.ka. Iya Osun) whom she saw on Facebook in the course of her search for solutions to her health challenge. What drew her to Augustina was the latter’s post under the name, Osunbukola Olamitutu Spriritual Healing Centre.

Once she contacted Augustina, the latter promised to heal her only if she pays N16 million. The victim paid the money through an Access Bank account belonging to Mohammed Sani, who later turned out to be a Bureau De Change Operator.

After paying the money without receiving healing, Augustina passed the victim on to other members of the syndicate, notably Awise.

Juliet revealed that she met Awise at his shrines in Ashipa Town and was hypnotized and subsequently transferred various sum through bank accounts and in cash to the suspect and his syndicate members, until she lost N250 million to them.

Despite all the monies collected from her, her health conditions never improved.

She consequently petitioned the EFCC.

A team from the Foreign Exchange Malpractices Section (FEMS) at EFCC headquarters, on May 21, 2021 arrested both Sani Mohammed and Akinola Bukola Augustina in Egbeda and Abule Egba respectively, in a sting operation in Lagos

Augustina, who is currently on administrative bail, later led operatives to the Ashipa Town Shrine of Awise, but the latter escaped arrest having gotten wind of the presence of the Commission’s operatives. He was later apprehended.

Following his arrest, the Commission has traced and marked a number of assets linked to Awise, believed to be proceeds of his criminal activities.

The EFCC and Brazil have resolved to strengthen collaboration in tacking issues related to fraud, cybercrime and a number of transnational organized crimes affecting the economies of Brazil and Nigeria.

This indication emerged on Wednesday May 19, 2021 when the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa paid a courtesy visit to the Brazilian Embassy, Abuja.

The EFCC boss who was received by the Brazilian Ambassador, Ricardo Guerra de Araujo, expressed regret about the activities of fraudsters targeting foreigners and foreign businesses, which he said posed a threat to the image of Nigeria and the quest for direct foreign investment.

Recalling the efforts of the Commission in helping to smash a Nigerian fraud syndicate that defrauded a Brazilian bank in the early 2000, Bawa assured that the Commission would work together with the embassy in tackling the menace of fraudsters.

In his remark, Ambassador Araujo noted that he has been in Nigeria long enough to know that only a few Nigerians were involved in fraudulent activities. He however expressed regret that the activities of the unscrupulous tiny minority was distracting him from his primary mission of promoting trade relationship between Nigeria and Brazil.

The Lagos state EFCC operatives have arrested two blood siblings over alleged internet fraud.

The arrested siblings, Rowland Kalu and Queen, were captured at the Amikanle Alagbado area of Lagos State on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

They were arrested after some informations got to the Commission about their fraud activity in love scam and online fake love to the whites.

The sister Queen, who is a graduate of Banking and Finance, made confessions, saying that she got involved in the Yahoo-yahoo and had made some money from the fraudulent activity.
