first is it an unwanted pregnancy? cos those are the ones that will most likely be subjected to abortion, over the other(sole) reason of danger to the life of the woman.
remember pregnancy( the one where the woman has to carry for 9months) is a two way thing.
having an abortion is not so wrong on "many" levels like you pointed out in the post( incest, rape....)
but I doubt if a woman who wants babies will ever consider it(except of course it endangers her life).
in my opinion it isn't about gender equality, it's more confusion to those who are some gullible.

if you don't expect anything in return, why do you have to render help? in life if you don't give you cannot collect. even religion teaches that... give and it shall be given unto you( sure it doesn't necessarily have to be same person) but it's normal for every human who renders help to expect a return.
