The Beautiful Ancient Town of Opobo. Opobo, in Rivers State, Nigeria, is a beautiful old town with a rich culture and history. It's also an important place where early missionaries first entered Africa. The Opobo Kingdom has 16 Villages, 67 special houses called Wari, each led by a chief called Alabo. These houses belong to 14 groups called Polo, started by the kingdom's founding fathers. Some notable Polo groups are King Jaja, Datoo, and Dappa Ye Amakiri.
