Exc2000: what more do you need as an explanation? or do you need to remind you who and who gets marginalized in every Nigerian government policy?
our people get filled up in the social register not because they are poor, but because their son osinbajo is in power and just like Tradermoni, anchor borrowers and Npower we must enjoy this money as its our right wether poor or not
As for Debt.. we have one of the best Debt to GDP ration in Nigeria, meaning we borrow to develop.. and speaking of debt Lagos - Abeokuta - Ibadan Standard Guage rail line is part of Nigerian debt which your region would pay back while SouthWest enjoys the ride
Talk about Politics and Sophistication You are really fullish with this your our people fill the register because their son is in power. Do you think social register is owambe attendance register? About the rail garage and SE paying, you are not another fullish. You report your IGR, we don't tax our people. The incidence of that debt is not on us. Onitsha main market alone will generate more IGR than the entire Osun but we don't tax our people, do you think we are foolish? Ariria international market generates about 150m every years but there are a lot of traders worth millions in that market. In fact, the trader themselves contributed money to build a power station for that market to show you how much that is made from there but the govt only collects 150m from the trader. Make una continue deceiving unaselves. |

AmuDimpka: Is that soooo these are the parameters of guaging economic development
I give up ...so over taxation and under taxation is a core An average Yoruba person doesn't understand what IGR and VAT are. That is what they use to measure regional richness. SW imposes the highest taxes region in the country SS follows Then SE According to Yemi Bureau of Statistics, since SW taxes their people more, then they most be the richest and since SE refuses to tax their people, then they most be the poorest. |

Exc2000: they got data from CBN checking cash deposit within Ibadan and Oyo state, they also contacted FIRS to check Tax and Vat collected in Oyo, and they check state IGR and GDP and that gave them what they need to note that Oyo is richer than all SouthEast State except Anambra Keep consoling yourself with Yemi Bureau of Statistics. You are the richest yet you top the social register of the most vulnerable Nigerians in the South. You are the richest but you are the most indebted region. You are the richest but you top the list for bailout funds. Kindly explain how possible these are? |

Sunshineg5: Taxes doesn't reduce Disposal income
Double Taxation might reduce disposable income
Without Taxes, government would not be able to run its affairs.
Osun tax to GDP ratio is even still small
Nigeria Have one of the lowest Tax to GDP ratio in the world, while Britain have one the highest. Why do govt cut taxes during recession? Because taxes reduce the amount of disposable income in the hands of individuals, hence aggregate demand. Govts fight recession by increasing aggregate national demand. When AD increases, companies will produce more, more people will be employed, more wealth will circulate and poverty will be lower. I am not here to educate you but to answer your question. 1. Govt tax people to generate money to run the government but this should be within the level it will not compromise existing standard of living. Lagos taxes maruwa over 1000k every day but Aba as of the last time I asked taxes N150. A keke rider in Aba is relatively better than a maruwa rider in Lagos. Do you know Lagos taxes people for just having a signpost, the SE doesn't. 2. Govt uses taxes as fiscal policy stabilization tool. To fight inflation and others Like I said before, only fools believe that Osun GDP is bigger than Anambra's. Osun that i know front and back is in the league of beloved Ebonyi |

Sunshineg5: Check again
Check Enugu and Imo Debt to GDP ratio and Debt to revenue ratio.
And Check Oyo debt to Revenue ratio.
And why is Tax a bad thing? Taxes reduce disposable income. Disposable income affects Aggregate Demand which is vital for macro economic development. Nigeria didn't even know the size of her GDP and. You are here talking about state GDP. Only fools believe that Osun GDP is bigger than that of Anambra. Only fools |

Exc2000:

see how you fell into a tight corner and a trap, now get a calculator and Add up the revenue of the 6 SouthWestern States as you posted in the NBS data of 2016 and compare it to that of SouthEast and be honest with your own self and see the hypocrisy in rejecting 2020 analysis for that of 2016 which SouthWest still clearly out shines you
Now for the debt figure, we in SouthWest understand Debt is not a bad thing, infact its a tool for development, and Osun's GDP stands at $7.2 billion USD while the debt is at less than $500m USD a very good debt to GDP ratio
again bellow is the GDP table in Nigeria by states, do well to calculate SW GDP and see how many times it swallows SouthEast GDP yet we don't go about making noise
so if the statistic doesn't favour you stop the envious pull them down syndrome you are casting on states and region far better than yours
. Don't be stupid. What the data listed is IGR which is a fancy name for tax. Why not get your calculator is that we can calculate the debts. Your debt is 5x that of SE yet your region is relatively better than SE. Remove Lagos, then compare your SW with SE and list all the areas you are significantly better than us. |
Politics › Re: Who Still Remember This Propaganda (photos ) by OFFICIAL336: 12:11pm On May 07, 2020 |
Sunshineg5: Same Statistics put Oyo, Ogun and Lagos ahead of every South East state in terms of Revenue.
Or you didn't see that? Why not check their debts. IGR means taxes. The more you tax people the higher your IGR. Pre-corona, a Maruwa driver in Lagos is taxed about 1000k every day if you are lucky but in Aba, the last I am aware of is 150. Be guided. Keep killing your people with taxes and be shouting "most richest" |

Check CBN Bank cash flow data Osun's finance is ok and better than ebonyi and abia, check IGR and GDP per capital, any index you want to check they are better.. they have industries, tertiary instituition, research centers and many more yt they are not noise makers like some chestbeaters ... sons and daughters of osun are shining bright like the Adeleke's Davido's , the fani kayoed, family and you are here hating When you guys are ready to tell yourselves the truth, then we will know

Exc2000: look if you have issues with NBS mail them or head to their office, same as Oxford that conducted similar research... calling SW out of the 6 geo political zones barely shows you have deeply rooted issues and jealousy of SouthWest.. because Southwest doesn't even know what goes on in your enclave and they don't even care yet you make multiple post daily like they hold your destiny This is not the first time Yemi was caught falsifying stats in favour of SW. Only a fool believes that Osun has more rich people than Anambra, Rivers et al. Sometimes I wonder whether it is this Osun that I know or there is another |

Industry : should be in the top 4 most industrialized cities in Nigeria.
Malls ( more than any Igbo city )
