There was mild drama at Burna Boy’s concert in Denver after the artist paused his performance to address an unusual situation — a fan’s girlfriend appeared to have fallen asleep during his set.

The incident took place at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre on November 12, 2025. In the middle of his performance, Burna Boy suddenly stopped singing after noticing a woman in the audience who seemed to be dozing off. Pointing at her, he told the man beside her — presumably her boyfriend — to take her home.

One of them was seen gently pulling the woman up by the hand before she and her partner were quietly escorted out of the venue. Burna Boy briefly bounced off stage and raised another song immediately after the couple left — and the crowd went wild as he resumed his performance.

While Burna Boy is known for his strong stage presence and frequent interactions with fans, this particular episode came across as a lighthearted — yet public — call-out. It contrasted with some of his past incidents, such as abruptly ending performances or confronting fans who breached stage security.

However, some critics argued that if Burna Boy wanted the couple to leave, he should have refunded their ticket money, since they paid to attend the concert and had the right to behave as they wished — provided they weren’t disturbing anyone or breaking any rules.
