WHO Iڪ STEALING OUR OIL?
Nigerians have been treated to a theatre of the absurd in which those close to the oil scene are the same people complaining about it and passing the buck among themselves.

By Dele Sobowale

Jonathan's government is either powerless to stop or is unwilling to do so. Meanwhile, we face real fiscal catastrophe this year and next year if the theft is not checked. Who are the culprits? Take your choice from the list below.

"Oil workers………
"Security agents……
"NNPC officials…..
"Top govt officials….
"Militants…….

As Nigeria lurches dangerously towards another debt trap, and as it will become increasingly difficult for the Federal and State governments to meet their financial obligations to a wide range of stakeholders, the most important item on the national agenda is to find out who are those stealing Nigerian crude oil. Next to that is to also find out who are the buyers of the stolen crude. But, let me pose a question to all Nigerians.

Supposing the members of a household engage security people to guard their residence and pay them extremely well. Yet, thieves break into the household every night and steal their most precious properties, what would the owners of the household do? Retain the security staff or sack them? If the answer that comes to your mind is "sack them", then why do we continue to retain the security people, the oil workers, the NNPC and top government officials, as well as the militants who have collected fantastic salaries and huge contracts to protect our oil installations and are not doing it?

Ask anyone who had ever gone far into Nigeria's territorial waters and you will be amased how extremely difficult, if not impossible for any maritime vessel to enter our coastal waters to do any business. Last week, I talked to a former owner of a trawler about my experience aboard another trawler whose owner had asked me to go out to sea with his crew to find out from first hand experience what the security forces, pirates and militants do to fishing boats.

The question is: if people engaging in lawful business cannot sail into Nigerian waters undetected, how is it possible on a daily basis for criminals to so without being apprehended? The answer is obvious, our security people, like the guards in the fictitious house above are the thieves. The story had been told about the man in rural Russia who could predict when a goat would be stolen - until people discovered that he was the thief.

The Ministers of Petroleum and Finance, as well as the President have told us that 400,000 barrels per day is being stolen with the calm assurance that another 400,000 barrels will disappear tomorrow and next week. They stay in Abuja mostly, but they have staff in the oil producing areas. The questions that arise are: how do they know it is 400,000 a day?

Food / Re: Adulteration Of Food Items In Nigerian Markets by Ogajuwonlo1(m): 9:52pm On May 31, 2013
Onyegecha: I was shocked to learn from a very reliable source, that palm oil sold in our markets is heavily adulterated with some reddish substances.
The so-called vegetable oils are even worse. Who knows whether saw dust is mixed into our garri? What about the bread we consume that is made with poisonous chemicals? The point is that NAFDAC and other regulatory agencies should save Nigerians from t.he hands of greedy men who value money above life.
Matters of this nature are not left to people's consciences because unscrupulous men must be stopped by uncompromising agents of the law. Share what you know about this practice in your area.
can u imagine sawdust being mix with grounded pepper
.The necessary sector should start doing their work.if possible before dis food are being sold to d public they should run a check.
Politics / Re: God Helped Me To Defeat Amaechi - Jang by Ogajuwonlo1(m): 10:45pm On May 26, 2013
brixton: Jonah Jang says God helped him “defeat” Amaechi

The governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, has described his “victory” over Gov. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, whom he claims to have defeated to become the new “chairman” of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, as the will of God.

Mr. Jang, was speaking in Jos, Sunday, at a special interdenominational church service held at Faith-way Chapel Church and organized by the Plateau State government as part of the activities marking the forthcoming 14th anniversary of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria.

His remarks came two days after a controversial governors’ forum election in which Mr. Amaechi was declared winner after clinching 19 votes to defeat Mr. Jang who got 16. The result of the election however portrayed Mr. Jang as a usurper to the NGF chairman position.

Governors who supported Mr. Jang rejected the outcome of the elections, claiming it was rigged.

On Saturday, Mr. Jang convened a meeting of the protesting governors and presided as chairman.

“I can assure you that my emergence as the chairman Nigerian Governors’ Forum was the will of God because I went to Abuja for the NGF election not with the intention to contest but northern governors and the PDP governors’ forum endorsed my candidature. When (Ibrahim) Shema of Kastina stepped down, both forums insisted I should contest; I contested and won. So, it’s the will of God.”

He said he had never wanted to be chairman of the NGF.

Mr. Jang told the church that the allegation that a faction of the NGF rigged the elections in his favour was not true.
“God is a democrat, does not support rigging but if you rig and succeed, that means God approve of it.”

Mr. Jang called on Nigerians to pray for their leaders to enable the present administration at all levels succeed.
He said the current controversies being faced by government at the moment is a foreshadow of what is likely to happen at the 2015 general elections.

“I believe that God has anointed who will be President of Nigeria in 2015 but only him knows who it is,” he stated.
He also said democratic governance was the best form of government that takes care of every sector, pointing out that even the military enjoys more during democracy.

“The military enjoys better during democracy. I’m a living example because I was opportune to serve as governor during the military era and now again as a civilian; so, to my mind, the military should not carry guns to force out democratic governance again,” he said.

During the church service, prayers were offered for the restoration of permanent peace in the country and stability of good governance in Nigeria and the entire African continent.

slimyem: An almost instantly dissipating smell in an airy
environment. An air you cant brook...it usually
takes a moment to recognize the
devastatingly unpleasant wind...

They come from gas in mixture of foods
especially sulphur-rich foods like egg,
meat,milk cabbage,and apples.foods like egg
and meat are really bad for making stinky fart.cool

The sound is usually caused by vibrations of
the a-nal opening and also depends on the
tightness of the muscles of your anus.shockedcheesy
Okay...i know it can be
embarrassing,smelly,and a definite no-no
when you are having a sha-g but lets face it..it
can be hysterically funny and very
entertaining.grin

Immediately after the act, when a feeling of
paranoia washes over you,there are
strategies to employ-acting oblivious and
innocent,coughing obviously or suddenly
moving your chair so that people around you
would think they misheard the fart
[s]na lie u dey lie if you talk say you never do any of these beforeundecided[/s]
or betterstill proclaim the fart as your own grand
accomplishment and issue a challenge to
others to outdo that one if they think they
can..

You can blast them out loudly and boast of
them proudly.

One truth-Everyone alive farts. Some even fart
shortly after death.kings,presidents,opera
singers, beauty queens, priests and nuns fart.
Its a big mistake to say that farting is not
ladylike and its not weird to enjoy fart.its
healthy.its also universal for people to enjoy
their own fart..

So keep farting-A fart is such a useful thing. It
brings on lots of ease.it warms the bed on
cold nights and suffocates the mosquitoes.smiley
