Maybe that should be the date for summer in that school and I don't think the person made a mistake although it's possible for the person to make mistakes when issuing the i20, and I hope you are not thinking that submission should be May?

That I-20 is already invalid since u never went for interview.
Looks like the summer session has already started and if u want to still go for that session, u might want to write your school and have them prepare another I-20 granting you an extension to resume at a later date.

The visa officer wants to hear your answers in a natural speaking voice.
If they feel that you are reading a prepared speach they will slap you down hard!

yes. this is good. but its better to say a friend of yours who is an alumnus of the school and to be specific on the opportunity. Numerous opportunity such as internship placement as the school have many corroboration with industries is a better statement. Let each of your sentences be meaningful, active and specific. You are trying to convince someone here about your passion and motivation. Give it substance.

Yes hearing from your friend is good. But you don't have to stop there. you need to be specific on those qualities your friend highlighted about his school that made you wanna go there. Something the school does different from many others

You should contact the school straight away and find out what is happening.
They might not have got your papers.
