Madonna University: Reps Threaten To Arrest Vice Chancellor
The House of Representatives has threatened to forcefully make the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Madonna University, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Edeh, comply with its summon and appear before its committee on Public Petitions, if he failed to honour its invitation on or before April 9, 2019
Others expected to appear with the VC include officials of the institution namely: Rev. Fr. Francis Nwachukwu, Rev. Fr. Francis Nginga and Mr Ogbonna Okey.
They were expected to give account on the alleged abduction and torture of two students, Stanley Okoye and Ga-Lim Aondofa, before the Uzoma Nkem-Abonta-led House Committee.
The two students were allegedly abducted and tortured by the school’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) and the Dean of Student Affairs.
However, the Committee regretted that rather than appear before it and shed light on the issue, the VC and the others ignored the invitation and sought to bar the House from investigating the issue by filling a case against the jurisdiction of the House to wade into the matter.
But an Abuja Federal High Court penultimate week struck out the suit on the ground that the parliament was constitutionally empowered by Section 88 (2) (a) and (b) to carry out investigation on such matters.
At its special public hearing in Abuja during the weekend, Deputy Chairman of the House Committee, Rep. Simon Arabo, who chaired the proceeding, said there is a need to unravel the truth of the incidence.
He lamented that the final year students not only sustained life-threatening injuries during their period of ‘abduction’ but have also been barred from the school for many years without any form of explanation and compensation.
“If they are students, they have not been rusticated, have they been barred from going to school, why are they not in school?
“If they have been barred, steps must have been taken that they are readmitted to complete their courses. Two years out of school is not funny for a student.”
He therefore adjourned the public hearing till 9th of April for all parties to appear.
A news agency reports that the two students had earlier petitioned the House of Representatives to wade into their ordeal.
|Politics / Why Atiku Lost To Most Northern States by Ogeh1(f): 11:41am On Feb 24, 2019|
This is a simple logic, the northerners obviously don't like the Igbo people of Nigeria, they will rather dine with the yorubas. You can remember that even when Buhari came initially with an Igbo man as his running mate, he was turned down. U can't compare Atiku contributions to the northerners and Nigeria at large as compare to that of Buhari's, Buhari ve done absolutely nothing to Nigeria as a country, only the north of the world is but why chose him over Atiku? because of his (Atiku) deep romance with the Igbo people, Atiku is not nepotic, he embraces everybody so he's seem as a bssterdised northerner, same thing Babangida is faced with.
So it baffles me when our Igbo politicians who re assumed to have know all these still mobilize and go against a people who don't see us as anything, don't believe in one Nigeria but still will not give us our freedom of Biafra, what is the aim? To enslave us, mine our oil down here refine in de north & sell it back to us.
What the yorubas don't know is this, de moment Buhari is sworn back in, El Rufai will replace Osinbajo as the VP, Tinubu will completely be cut off access to Aso rock. All these am sure of. Buhari's tyranny was on control because of first term syndrome. He's worse than Fr Edeh of Madonna university Nigeria.
Fr. Edeh is one of our enemies, of how crucial this election is to the Igbo people, this man still didn't allow Madonna students to go out & exercise their rights all in the name of safety but students getting rapped here on daily bases with yobo CSO extorting students money left and right. They ceize ur laptop here in Elele and next thing u know is it can't be found when cleared to collect it. They sell them back to their staffs

Man will compare all students and staffs to contribute to his birthday, force them to go down to Elele but look at what the school look like

[quwote author=Jman06 post=73376753]I wonder why NUC turns a blind eyes to the activities of schools like Madonna.
University that can't boast of qualified lecturers but relying on part-time lecturers from public universities who offer part-time services and in turn produce part-time graduates. Nonsense!
RIP to the dead[/quote]
Don't just mention NUC here, bloody fools who bow down to brown envelopes, last time they came for accreditation of law faculty in the Okija campus, we students from various departments were forced to wear black and white and go and seat in the law e-library and pretend to be using the computers and told us when the NUC officials ask us we should tell them that we ve been using the library and it's been really effective, while in reality that was de very first time students were allowed into that library, it's always locked because that faculty (where students pay N1.2 million) doesn't have power connected to it. But trust me when one of the NUC official came I have to quietly tell him de truth but what did they do, the brown envelope from Fr Edeh played a better role
|Education / Re: Madonna University: Justice For Stephanie Who Died On Campus by Ogeh1(f): 7:41am On Dec 04, 2018|
Madonna University is a scam, Fr Edeh have de audacity to come out clear through his so called supervisors and say "I ve made my riches, I MAKE 6 billions naira per year, I can shut down Madonna university if I have to".... How genuine do u make that money you outdated, Naive, timid, arrogant, gullible and bloody religious criminal. You preach de Bible and do otherwise, same way de westerners gave us Bible and took our land Fr. Edeh is still practicing slavery in a modern way and we re gladly selling ourselves to him all in the name of religion.
The man is heartless, he doesn't even care about his priests talk more of the said Christian faith from whom he feed, creating confusion among them (priests and sisters) just so he will stand out, but if that's not the height of stupidity he doesn't necessarily have to do that.
The angels will rejoice when that man dies, demons will welcome him whole heartedly no doubt.
