Finally! I got another Samsung charger just for my beloved Romoss. 5V 2A. Yes I don sabi charger now. Thanks to @frebor nobody can scam with 'follow come' charger again . My wonderful power bank charged fully for 5hours! Did I say how fast This power bank charges my phone whether I am using it or its idle . this is the best Power bank I have ever used. I AM NOW A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. I WOULD SURE REFER INTERESTED BUYERS TO THIS THREAD.

Yes, our usage patterns are different, I'm just giving a piece of advice that will prolong the life of your batteries and the power bank. With every charge and discharge cycle, the capacity of batteries reduce.

I'm sure you meant to say 5.3V 2A, Your charger is capable enough of charging the power bank.

First off, the reason why we carry power banks is to ditch all extra phone batteries and to allow us top up the phone without removing battery and switching off phone wahala. So I'll rather you stick with one battery, charge till full, use for 6-8 hours then recharge again. That way you'll have charge on both the phone and power bank, then you can top both up when there is light.

If it takes a 2600mah battery up to 2hours to get full, by rough calculation a 10000mAh battery should take like 8 hours. The ampere rating of the charger also determines how fast the device charges, a 5V 2A charger is gonna be faster than a 5V 1A charger given the device can handle as much as 2A.

So pls, confirm which rating of the particular charger you are using. Any charger can pass for original in the market, except It came in the phone box, you can't be sure it's actually the real deal.


I use the Romoss personally, I avoid completely using it up but sometimes it's just not possible. Before the first bar charges up after completely depleting it, it takes a while. Charging it in short busts don't help too, charging it at a stretch would deliver more.

the number of battery I use is not important here. I think I would just ignore and pass. Thanks like I said earlier I don't understand the 5v and all.. Same charger charges my phone very very well. If it is still not original to you, No problem

Modified I just checked my Samsung charger and it's written 5.3v 3.0A
And the charger I use for the power bank is 5v 5mA

which one be ampere rating I use an original Nokia lumia charger. Since I have posted this, 8:42am my generator has been up, and till this moment 10:32am, Same time frame and my phone has charged 80%. it's only blinking and not even 1bar of been charged. At the end of the day, I don't think I am getting value for my money. I don't need a power bank that takes FOREVER to charge

I promised to give my review by Saturday, but I don't think I can wait that long. Cos I would be needing the Op to answer few questions which I also think other buyer might benefit from.
Before I continue. I have initially told the Op upon purchase that I Stay in an environment where Electricity is NOT READILY AVAILABLE

I got the Power bank on Saturday and it has 3full battery signal with 1 left to be charged.. I still had a bit of the luxury of electricity when I got home so I use my original Samsung s5 charger (as instructed by the seller) to complete the charging. After 20mins, my Samsung charger stopped working. I checked to know what happened, tested it on my phone and it worked perfectly, so I assumed the power bank was too heavy for the charger. I used my other charger to continue charging it.
We had light for about 2 hours and the power bank has still not reached its fully charged level (the remaining 1bar)
As usual I turned on the generator and continued charging, the Gen was up for about 4hours and still it was not fully charged whereas my Samsung battery and spare battery has been charged fully.

On Sunday, As usual I turned on the gen as there was no light, and continued charging, the Gen was up on Sunday for at Least 4hours and that was when the power bank came to its Fully Charged Mode... I didn't see it as a big deal.
On Monday I commenced my daily activities which involves using my phone at a high peak. My 2 batteries got exhausted and I started with the power bank.

Yes. The Power bank is the best time that has happened to my Samsung S5 since Slice Bread! I am a heavy phone user. It charged my 2 batteries fully, charged my visaphone and my Bluetooth headset perfectly . and as at last night, I had 1bar left on the power bank. (Now I am really scared). I turned on the Generator last night for about an hour, plugged the power bank, and it didn't exceed it's 1bar.

Today is Tuesday, I have exhausted the power bank, and this is where the Wahala would start.

If I could charge 1bar for 2days (approximately 7-8hours of electricity) How long will I charge a dead power bank.

Op I need your contribution. As I am not in a happy mood. I do not have the luxury of electricity power where I reside, reason I got the power bank. You told me it charges fully for 6hours or thereabout but it is not True!
I can't dare to charge this power bank with my Samsung charger cos it's obvious it might burn it. I can't afford to loose my charger.
